TODAY’S DEVOTION (SUNDAY 24TH JULY 2022)
“However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:6-10 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 205TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF AMAZING GRACE!
This is the Day the LORD has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it.
The LORD has brought us safely to the first day of another set of weeks of the year. He has been so faithful to us even when we were faithless. His matchless love and faithfulness is the reason for our gratitude and altitude.
His consistency and steadfastness is the foundation of our survival. That is why the enemy has not rejoiced over us.
We have been traveling with the Cry of the Spirit on miracles, signs and wonders. It has been a journey of truth, revelation knowledge and beautiful presentation of GOD’s word to our hungry hearts. It was scheduled to be a 31-Day journey of faith, and today is the 24th day; living us with just 7 days to go.
Recently we have been looking at Throne Room Miracles. The Throne Room Miracles that comes to sustain the righteous in a wicked world still stands out for me. Daniel comes to mind at this point.
The resistance that was put up against his walk and talk with God during his days of serving in the administration of Nebuchadnezzar tells us what a visible righteous seed will suffer in the hands of wicked men and women that surround him.
On the other hand, what God did yo save him also tell us what Heaven will always do to help the righteous seed out.
Heaven will always send the miracles from God’s Throne to sustain the righteous seed and be a source of strength for him or her. For instance, in the case of Daniel’s ordeal in the Lion’s den, the Throne Room miracle God sent to help him out shut up the mount of the lions and prevented them form making Daniel’s flesh their food.
Daniel Himself said to the King, when he hurriedly came the following day to see if Daniel was still alive after realizing that he was manipulated to do what he did, “The LORD sent His angel to shut the lion’s mouth.”
That was a throne room miracle. It kept Daniel and sustained Him in the midst of the battle with the dark men of that kingdom.
The story of Daniel tells us that if we are surrounded by lions, if where we work, or carry out an assignment for God, or live is a lions’ den, we should not fear but Cry unto God for a miracle of sustenance to be sent to help us out each time the enemy strikes.
WE SHOULD ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT THE RIGHTEOUS CRY OUT AND THE LORD HEARS THEM.
There is another Throne Room miracle we can see in the life of Samson after He had sinned with Delilah and was caught and put under terrible circumstances by the enemy, with the Philistines rejoicing over Him.
The Bible made it clear that his hair grew again. That was a miracle and the LORD also heard his prayer. He made sure the assignment of neutralizing the Philistines was fulfilled despite what happened.
The story of Samson tells us that if we commit any sin in the line of kingdom duty by not wickedly departing from the ways of our God, and then cry unto God in repentance for help, we will always find help from the LORD.
The Bible says;
“Then Samson called to the LORD, saying, “O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once, O God, that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes!”
And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars which supported the temple, and he braced himself against them, one on his right and the other on his left.
Then Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” And he pushed with all his might, and the temple fell on the lords and all the people who were in it. So the dead that he killed at his death were more than he had killed in his life.” Judges 16:28-30 NKJV
It was the mercy of God deployed from God’s throne that brought the miracle that sustained Samson during his ordeal with the Philistines. That brings us to what we will be sharing as we conclude this journey in 7 days.
From today to the end of this journey of faith, we will be looking at the Cry of the holy Spirit on the catalyst of miracles in God’s Kingdom.
THE FIRST CATALYST AS WE CAN SEE IN THE LIFE OF SAMSON IS THE CATALYST OF GOD’S MERCY!
The catalyst of God’s mercy is a major wisdom of God that paralysis the wisdom of this age. It is God’s way of making sure the enemy do not have the last laugh over us. It makes him regret making the earth hot for us or pushing us into sin because of the repentance it evokes and the times of refreshing it brings to help us stand on our feet.
It brings the kingdom of darkness to the place I will call, “for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” Jesus has a way of making us share in this heritage each time the enemy seem to prevail against us.
Our devotional text says,
“However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
What God can do in our lives because of His mercy is always in the deep. That is why it confuses Satan. It has a way of bringing the party he throws over our captured souls to an end. Especially after moving us to sin against our God!
When it comes to the catalysts of miracles, especially miracles from the Throne Room of God, His mercies are the first in line. In fact, God’s mercies have done more miracles in the lives of men than any other catalyst of miracles in His kingdom.
THE BIBLE SAYS THIS ABOUT OUR GOD;
For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.”
So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. Romans 9:15-16 NKJV
If God sees our sufferings, either because of our sins, iniquity, trespasses, ignorance of spiritual weakness, it always provokes compassion for us to spring up in His heart. When that happens, the mercy that will come out of the depth of His love will be unconditional, especially if He finds us on the Threshing floor of repentance.
In fact, if you look at the History of men and women who have received miracles based on God’s mercies both in our days and in the days of the Bible, you will find people who do deserve it and many who do not even deserve to live on the list.
Yes, people who do not even deserve to live; You will find atheist and all kinds of haters of God among them. You will find murderers, anarchists, and all kinds of wicked men and women on the list.
Miracles that happen because of God’s mercies are God’s compassion driven not man’s prayer driven. Most of them happen even when men do not pray because compassion is what springs up in the heart of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ each time He sees us suffering even for what we did.
You can now see why James said “is anyone suffering, let him pray” he did not say let him run after people to pray for him or her. He said let him pray.
We must understand that there is a compassion that always spring up in God’s heart whenever we are found in great suffering. And that it is because of that compassion that he releases miracles to save us. We only need to seek him with all our hearts.
If we have that understanding, we will not seek to sow any seed or give God anything to get something. We will not seek to buy with our monies or treasures what His blood has already bought for us.
LOOK AT WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS;
“Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.
Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:35-38 NKJV
In this scripture, we can see how the LORD feels even today, each time He find men and women in great suffering. If we will have preachers who feel the same, no one will be asked to sow a seed to get a miracle, raise an altar for a miracle, fast and pray for a miracle, wash the preacher’s car for a miracle, kiss the preacher’s feet for a miracle or so any of the nonsense we make people do for miracles.
Indeed, we need to seek the LORD for laborers for the end time harvest not masters or elite preachers. The Church as it stands, has been plagued with preachers who have no compassion for people that is why most of us in ministry will ask them to sow seeds even when they have no means of having the next meal.
One major thing that is missing today are preachers with genuine compassion for suffering humanity in their heart. That is why most of us do not operate in mercy. We operate in meanness, even charging fees for counseling sessions, selling this oil and selling the other oil, and selling this water and selling the other water, or doing this or that.
That is why many preachers have used and are still using the misfortune of people to build great fortune for themselves.
Do not forget that the first miracle catalyst in GOD’s kingdom is His mercies, and that He will always deploy them because of His compassion for us, not because of some seed we sow or some fasting we did.
Whenever you find yourself in great distress, do not forget to fall into the hands of the LORD. He alone can be compassionate enough to come through for you! Do not fall in the hands of men.
Wao! I believe enough has been shared for the day. May the LORD use that to bring us into the realm of getting answers and miracles in the midst of our sufferings in Jesus precious name. Amen!
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!
And David’s heart condemned him after he had numbered the people. So David said to the LORD, “I have sinned greatly in what I have done; but now, I pray, O LORD, take away the iniquity of Your servant, for I have done very foolishly.”
Now when David arose in the morning, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Gad, David’s seer, saying, “Go and tell David, ‘Thus says the LORD: “I offer you three things; choose one of them for yourself, that I may do it to you.” ’ ”
So Gad came to David and told him; and he said to him, “Shall seven years of famine come to you in your land? Or shall you flee three months before your enemies, while they pursue you? Or shall there be three days’ plague in your land? Now consider and see what answer I should take back to Him who sent me.”
And David said to Gad, “I am in great distress. Please let us fall into the hand of the LORD, for His mercies are great; but do not let me fall into the hand of man.” 2 Samuel 24:10-14 NKJV
