THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 14TH MARCH 2023)

“Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.

He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.” Psalm 126:5-6 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 73RD DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS!

It was deep yesterday!

I know there are precious word carriers who are still reading yesterday’s devotional, over and over. Heavy truths that ought to have come in form of a book usually leave us scratching the plate of the word for more. I pray a book will come out in the future if God keeps us alive, to address the matters holistically.

Glory to God that we are live again today. What a day to be alive and well. Today we will be picking right from where we stopped yesterday.

Yesterday we had said it is not just destiny destroying marriages that trap carriers of the holy seed of the precious word, to get it mixed, or to hinder it from being fulfilled. We said there are churches too, and preachers that if you sit under, the same thing will happen, and that I am a witness.

But before we get there, let us look at something that will be additionally helpful from what Jesus said in regards to what we shared yesterday. The Bible says;

They said to Him, “why then did Moses commanded to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?

He said to them,

“Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.

And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery.”

His disciples said to Him,

“if such is the case of the man with his wife, it is better not to marry,”

But He said to them,

“All cannot accept this saying, but only to those to whom it has been given;

for there are eunuchs who were born this from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it.” Matthew 19:7-12 NKJV

THERE ARE SO MANY TRUTHS WE CAN GLEAN FROM THIS SCRIPTURE.

The first is, when it comes to marriage matters, people who have become hardened towards each other, should be separated, else they will destroy each other. It is lack of this separation that leads to wife or husband battering, and even death of one, or both couples. That was why God allowed Moses then, as a pastor of over 6 million people, to do that. It was to save their lives.

Sadly, we have the same kinds of people in our churches today, from the pulpit to the pew; hardened hearts living together, or one hardened heart, making life difficult for one regenerated heart; which is why we have so many marital problems.

You cannot be happy married with an un-regenerated heart, except you want to marry by man’s design and definition. And if your heart is regenerated, you cannot marry an un-regenerated person. So, then Moses permitted them, to divorce their God given, and God allowed wives at the slighted prove that they cannot live together.

But today, like Jesus said, that marital law is not applicable among those are saved and ruled by the Holy Spirit.

The reason is because there will be no time that they will become hardened to each other. However, in cases they become, if you ask me, I will say we pray for them, especially if the holy seed is not under threat. But if it’s not working, the law can be applied, since by nature, they have either refused to embrace the grace dispensation, or decided to walk away from it.

So, to save their lives, and the lives of their kids, they should be separated. That is my take!

The next truth we can glean here, is the Jesus condition for divorcing a wife (or a husband); the Bible says “your wife (or husband)” meaning a God given wife or husband, not one you gave to yourself and use God to stamp it. Also, not a pagan you brought in, that has put the holy seed in danger.

If you have you God given wife or husband, and he or she unrepentantly fall into sexual immorality, like adultery, divorcing the person to save your life is permitted by God.

REMARRYING AFTER THAT IS BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR GOD, OR BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR HOLY SEED.

But today, we know that due to the perilous times that are upon us, there are things that now happen, that are even bigger than adultery.

Like one partner becoming a reprobate, departing from God and following other gods, or becoming a witch or wizard, or a killer, or something worst. That marriage should be dissolved to save the lives involved, and remarrying is not a sin, if the holy seed you carry and the circumstances you find yourself permits that.

These are some of the rhema words we can glean from Matthew 19:7-12. But what took us there are the last verses that spoke of celibacy, especially the last part that spoke of kingdom of Heaven induced celibacy.

The verses is clear that, those who carry a holy seed or precious word that will come under threat if one marries should not get married. God will grant them the grace not to. He will grant them the grace to sacrifice the legitimate on the altar of the ultimate.

Understand that, there is a forbidding to marry that is a product of either being a victim of seducing spirits and doctrines of devils (1 Timothy 4:1-3), natural causes, being ignorant and having misplaced priorities, or having a season of marital drought, where no one has come for your hand in marriage, as a woman, or where all you ever asked their hands in marriage, as a man, turned you down, or refused to respond to you.

That was not what Jesus meant. He was referring to vows of consecrations, propelled by the holy seed and the Holy Spirit; a vow that made you to forbid marriage. And let me add, and also forbid sleeping around. Because you can refuse to get married, but you are sleeping around and having, maybe kids, or aborting them; or better still, preventing pregnancy.

THAT WILL NOT BE A VOW OF CONSECRATION, BUT IS A VOW OF CORRUPTION.

A vow of consecration was the Paul kind of marital vow, where he said to himself; “no marriage, no romantic relationship, no sex with anyone, just my God and I, so, I can protect the purity of the Holy seed, and make sure it is not mixed.

It is precious to carry the holy seed in your spiritual loins. It is also sacrificial. That is why you cannot carry it successfully, especially from start to finish, if there is no sacrifice on your part, from start to finish. Our devotional text says;

“Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.

He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.” Psalm 126:5-6 NKJV

Mark those words, “He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing,”.

I know greedy men and women preachers have colonized that word and limited it to giving them money, in the guise of giving it to GOD.

While what we give to the LORD can be a precious seed, that we may carry weeping, depending on our economic situations, when you get to the holy of holies, where scriptures are seen clearly, you will understand that the precious seed is the precious word we carry or the holy seed of GOD in our lives.

We carry it on daily bases for sowing. We sow by walking in submission and paying every price to keep the holy seed in us, holy and unmixed. This is where weeping comes in, if what you carry is like what Paul the apostle carried. The Bible is clear that he spent a life time weeping. Always in and out of prison, riots that broke out for his sake and all that.

His holy seed was so weighty and special, that he did not just forgo marriage, but many other things. Which led to him being struck down every now and then, but not destroyed, persecuted here and there, but not forsaken, always carrying in his body the dying of the LORD Jesus. He said in his own words;

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.

We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—

always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.

For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So then death is working in us, but life in you.” 2 Corinthians 4:7-12 NKJV

THE TREASURE, “THE HOLY SEED,” IS ALWAYS IN AN EARTHEN VESSEL.

That was what Paul referred to when he said, we have this treasure in earthen vessel. So, this scripture, described the life of Paul, as one who bore the precious seed of God’s precious word, weeping all his life.

It also showed us what to expect, if we want to protect the holy seed that we carry, in a wicked and perverse generation. The scripture clearly shows us that there will be a price to pay to keep God’s seed in our lives pure. Basically, the price will come from one’s determination to sacrifice the legitimate on the altar of the ultimate, basically to protect the precious or holy seed.

From what Jesus said to what Paul is saying now to us, it is clear that our Christianity will be at another level, when we come into the revelation of the holy seed in us (as God’s earthen vessel), and decide to lead a life that sacrifices the legitimate on the altar of the ultimate.

We will have to do what the Ezra generation did sometimes, depending on how far we have gone astray. That brings us to where we stopped yesterday.

Yesterday we ended the devotional with living truths that made it clear to us that, it is not just destiny killing marital alliances that one would have to walk away from, but churches or preachers spiritual, ecclesiastical or other forms of capacities, to put the holy seed in us in danger.

What are the characteristics of Churches or preachers that when we sit under, the holy seed in us will be under threat? I crave your indulgence again, to allow us pick from there tomorrow.

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!

“And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.

“Then it shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased in the land in those days,” says the LORD, “that they will say no more, ‘The ark of the covenant of the LORD.’ It shall not come to mind, nor shall they remember it, nor shall they visit it, nor shall it be made anymore.

“At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of the LORD, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem. No more shall they follow the dictates of their evil hearts.” Jeremiah 3:15-17 NKJV
