TODAY’S DEVOTION (MONDAY 27TH MARCH 2023)
“To the pure [in heart and conscience] all things are pure, but to the defiled and corrupt and unbelieving nothing is pure; their very minds and consciences are defiled and polluted.
“They profess to know God [to recognize, perceive, and be acquainted with Him], but deny and disown and renounce Him by what they do; they are detestable and loathsome, unbelieving and disobedient and disloyal and rebellious, and [they are] unfit and worthless for good work (deed or enterprise) of any kind.” Titus 1:15-16 AMPC
WELCOME TO THE 86TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS!
Today, again we bless the LORD our God for keeping us alive and granting us the mercy to see another day. We will never be tired of thanking Him for His marvelous deeds.
The Spirit of this One and Only True God has been keeping us form day to day. He has been giving us breathe and making sure our days are prolonged. He has been keeping us fit and healing us of our diseases. He has been a great protector from all the seen and unseen things the devil is doing to ruin our lives.
When the kingdom of darkness lunch an attack that seems overwhelming, sometimes on our finances, other times on our resolve to live right before God, and it seems like we are going down, and that He has succeeded against us, this precious Spirit of God will come with amazing interventions and turn things around. We are grateful!!
You see, the earth has been under the custody of God, its creator ever since it was created. It’s just that He delegated it to man. In fact, He made it man’s home, and made it possible for us to live in blessings while living on it. That is why the Bible says;
May the LORD give you increase more and more, You and your children. May you be blessed by the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
“The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men. Psalm 115:14-16 NKJV”
It was under man’s watch that the devil became the prince of the world. However, there is a difference between the world and the earth. The world is a system that reigns on the earth, it is not the earth.
IN FACT, GOD DID NOT CREATE THE WORLD. GOD CREATED THE EARTH.
The world was created through the godless, sinful and wicked activities of the dark kingdom after man handed over his God given controls of the earth to Satan. The world is that Godless, corrupt, and evil system, that rules and influences the hearts of men. The system is code named Babylon. It is ruled by the spirit of wickedness or the mystery of iniquity.
The primary focus of Babylon and the spirit of wickedness that rules it, is to cause the holy seed we carry to be mixed, or rendered important when it is born.
The sample of this took place in the day of the Bible. We cannot go into that now. But from that incident, it was clear that when the holy seed is successful mixed with Babylon and the spirits that rules it, people will embrace syncretism. Sorry for that big word, it simply means the merging together of the worship of God and the worship of other gods.
It will become okay to say you are still a Christian even when you are NOT truly dedicated to Christ but to other gods and goddesses as well; like the sex goddess because your sexual needs, the god of gold or riches because of your financial needs, the god of fortress because some man’s need to own a house, the god of vengeance or destruction, known in scriptures as Moloch or Molech because of a heart cry for justice of revenge and etc.
That is why true Christianity is not need-driven but God’s-will driven. Whenever we are driven by our earthly needs, we become worshipers of others gods and put the holy seed in danger. Do not forget, we have been looking at faith position to take as holy seed or precious word carriers. A major faith position to take when dealing with the world is to heed to the warnings of God in His word, the Bible.
I want you to understand that the world can be a major ruin to the holy seed we carry. It contains so many gods of fortune and wellness that makes people love it for. But these gods will make us ignorant worshipers of many gods. It will make us syncretistic. That is why the Bible warned us about loving the world or Babylon. It says;
“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. 1 John 2:15-17 NKJV
THE WORD SAYS, IF WE LOVE THE BABYLON SYSTEM (THE EVIL, GODLESS, AND CORRUPT SYSTEM OF THIS WORLD), IT IS A SIGN THAT THE LOVE OF THE FATHER IS NOT IN US.
We could be apostles, prophets, popes or whatever, loving the system is a sign that the love of Christ is not in our hearts, because we cannot love Christ and Babylon at the same times.
When you love Christ, you walk in His ways, and when you love Babylon you walk in its ways. Meaning, the way one may be waking in, is what tells who the person truly loves. For many of us, because of our love for the world, the Babylon system; we fit into the description of the Bible verse in our devotional text that says;
“They profess to know God [to recognize, perceive, and be acquainted with Him], but deny and disown and renounce Him by what they do; they are detestable and loathsome, unbelieving and disobedient and disloyal and rebellious, and [they are] unfit and worthless for good work (deed or enterprise) of any kind.” Titus 1:16 AMPC
This scripture reveals how our love for this world or the Babylon system will make us unfit and worthless for good works in God’s kingdom. In other words, how it will cause our holy seed to be mixed and make it impossible for it to come out as God had intended.
Sadly, a lot of us believers walk in the ways of this world; we get married the way they do, pursue money the way they do, satisfy the sinful cravings of our flesh the way they do, we swim in the same flood of dissipation they swim in, and do all they do yet calling ourselves Christians. That is delusional!!
We are not Christians when we love the world because the Bible says the love of the Father is not in us. It also said the world is passing away. Meaning we will also pass away with the world system as God destroy and cast it into the lake of eternal judgment, if we remain in love with it.
One of the major reasons Christ came, is to take us out of the world system. He came to make us realize that we are not of this world, and to give grace and truth to separate from it. That is why when you become truly born again, the seed of GOD in you will begin to separate you from the Godless, wicked, corrupt and sinful system.
YOU WILL BECOME “NOT OF THIS WORLD” IN ALL YOU DO.
You will begin to do the will of God, and the word says those who do the will of God will abide forever, even as the world passes away.
Understand that, God will not allow an evil system, created by a fallen man and a fallen angel to remain. It will pass away! He has reserved a day to consume it all. All that is in the book of Revelation chapters 17, 18, and 19. But He does not want you and I to pass away along with it, hence getting us saved, sanctified and urging us not to be part of it.
Now, why do people love this system code named Babylon? There are so many reasons; steaming from ignorance of Bible truth, to the fallen nature, and all that. But the chief reason is what it offers the human race, and the condition attached.
It offers the human race some of the things God offers, like money, marriage, family, association, career success, and the like, but on conditions that align with the un-regenerated nature of depraved men and women. It does not challenge them to repent or live right.
It just gives them all the earthly blessings they should have gotten from God, on conditions that leaves their depraved and hell bound nature intact. That is why people naturally flow towards its direction and fall into the snare of its seduction. They only wake up to realize how foolish they were, and that they have really traded their souls for all it offered them in their life time, after death.
It has a lot of treasures it and the depraved soul of men as well. People love it because it makes them rich outside God.
In other word, it makes them rich through their godless, wicked and depraved ways. It does not place any righteous demands on them. It just allows them live according to their depraved nature, and tells them “it is okay to be who you are.”
THEY GET RICH, FAMOUS, VERY PROSPEROUS AND SUCCESSFUL, APPEARING ON ALL NEWS OUTLETS AS A REWARD FOR THEIR LOVE FOR THE SYSTEM.
Sadly, it has also attracted so many believers to it, and made them believe that they are still saved even when they are loving on it and doing all it says. Foolishly, these believers (preachers inclusive) accept the lie because of what it offers them in return, thereby, trading their souls ignorantly for all it offers.
If we will not corrupt the holy seed that we carry, and become like one of them, we must heed all the warnings of the word of the LORD on this evil system. It is a major threat, not just to the holy seed but to our souls as well. We must no longer lead an earthly need driven relationship with God, but a holy seed driven, and God’s kingdom governed relationship with the LORD.
We must stop taking a stand against God and His kingdom by becoming friends of the is world because the word says, “So whoever chooses to be a friend of the world takes his stand as an enemy of God.” It is dangerous to take a stand against God. The Bible says, “woe is he who contend with his maker.” The word woe means judgment. Meaning, judgment will be meted to he who take a stand against God.
Friend, for the sake of our souls and for the sake of our holy seeds that we carry, we must stop incurring woe or judgment upon ourselves, by being like unfaithful wives, having illicit spiritual affairs with Babylon, the world system. We must move into true relationship with the Father, submitting to Him all day all night, and doing only His will.
It is my prayer that the LORD will use these words to add to our faith, and make us who He wants to be in a perverse and crooked generation, in Jesus precious name. Amen!!
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!
“You [are like] unfaithful wives [having illicit love affairs with the world and breaking your marriage vow to God]! Do you not know that being the world’s friend is being God’s enemy? So whoever chooses to be a friend of the world takes his stand as an enemy of God.
Or do you suppose that the Scripture is speaking to no purpose that says, The Spirit Whom He has caused to dwell in us yearns over us and He yearns for the Spirit [to be welcome] with a jealous love?
But He gives us more and more grace (power of the Holy Spirit, to meet this evil tendency and all others fully). That is why He says, God sets Himself against the proud and haughty, but gives grace [continually] to the lowly (those who are humble enough to receive it).
So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.” James 4:4-7 AMPC
