TODAY’S DEVOTION (THURSDAY 6TH April 2023)
“I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
But if they had stood in My counsel, And had caused My people to hear My words, Then they would have turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their doings.” Jeremiah 23:21-22 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 96TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS!
Glory to GOD almighty! Today is a great day in our family! We celebrate the woman who the LORD has made the matriarch of my lineage. It is my Wife’s’ Birthday today and I want you to join me in celebrating her.
I want to appreciate all who were in our midweek service yesterday. You indeed started the celebration in a very powerful way. Thank you for all the love you showed.
I cannot forget the wonderful testimonies some of you shared. It was amazing. The lives of those who have been shaped for GOD by her influence, and those whose prayer lives have been kindled. May the LORD GOD continue to keep her for Himself and use her to His glory in Jesus precious name!
There have been very bad prophecies released by some against us. Our survival has been by the power of the very good God, who have been on our side. People who know nothing about my warfare, are trying to be make absolute comments about my life – coming out with sentences that are very provocative.
Is it not interesting to hear people who know nothing about one’s past, trying to shape is future? You hear people telling distorted stories gleaned from hearts that wanted my life and ministry ruin. People who know nothing about the marks of the LORD Jesus Christ on someone, are trying to prophesy about his future.
BUT WHO IS HE WHO SAYS AND IT COME TO PASS WHEN THE LORD HAS NOT SPOKEN?
Indeed, if the LORD has not been with us like a mighty terrible one, we would have been made food for them. But blessed be the LORD who have not given us as food to their teeth. Our God will keep using His marvelous helps to prove them wrong until we fulfill our days, if Christ tarries.
Our lives are a testimony that only a good God can frustrate bad prophecies spoken concerning you. Some of the prophecies where full of facts that would have scared anyone, but I did not see truth in any of them. The people were just driven by hate, unclean spirits, and etc. to speak. Some keyed into the witchcraft in their flesh to prophesy.
I learned that factual lying prophecies, are the worst forms of prophetic attacks on a person, and can make you believe a lie, and begin to follow the directives of the evil one, believing them to be God’s directives. God may not even speak to you at that time to counter them. What you have known in His word is what will speak to you. If you have absorbed sound doctrine, that is what will speak in your heart to counter them. That is why the subject of sound doctrine is important.
If your heart is not established in sound doctrine, you will not be able to overcome factual prophecies from lying spirits. The truth is, factual prophecies from lying spirits are a sword aimed at your heart. If you do not treat them that way, they will sink you.
You will not just need prayer to deal with them; you will need the sword of the Spirit and the shield of faith created in your heart by sound doctrine, to deal with them.
Today, we want to look at the role sound doctrines play, in helping us overcome lying prophecies, especially factual personal prophecy of lying spirits. When I say factual but lying prophecies, I am referring to true things about you that are supernaturally discovered, and craftily used to cook lying prophecies, serve you with them, calling it “a word from God.”
ONE OF THE MOSE POTENT WEAPONS IN THE SPIRIT REALM, IS THE WEAPON OF LYING PROPHECIES THAT CARRY FACTS IN THEM.
That is why in the days of the Bible, people who brought such prophecies where killed. They were killed to demonstrate how much God hates their activities and how we should deal with them. These days we do not killed them physically, we kill the spirit they bring.
They killed them because, they had no power to bind demons in their days. Today we have the power, so we can neutralize and kill the spirits they bring, by using the power of the sound doctrine we have absorbed.
One of the spirits that is in charge of the department of hell, that manufacture lying prophecies, most times using factual things, is called the spirit of Jezebel, and we will come to that shortly. That is why most people Satan uses to aim that sword at us are women.
Some of them appear morally chaste and spiritual deep but are unclean at heart and dark in their souls.
I have received a lot of prophecies from quiet a number of them. I had to send one away from the church at one time. They are poor, filthy, dark in the soul, but full of dreams, visions, and prophecies. The worst of all is, we were deceived that they belonged to the LORD until they began to manifest their fruits.
Do not forget, the young prophet from Judah was killed because of a lying prophecy that carried facts in it. The young man was naïve, he believed the prophecies of the Old Prophet, and lost his life.
That is why I burn with a holy anger, each time I see old prophets around. They are very dangerous to any young generation God is raising to clean the mess they created.
We are in warfare, and many have not realized that Satan also has his own version of the sword of the spirit or demons, that he uses in attacking us; it comes in form of prophecies. Once you believe them or obey the directives from them, you become a slave in the spirit to the unclean spirit behind them.
THE BIBLE MADE IT CLEAR THAT FALSEHOOD CAN ONLY BE KNOWN BY ITS FRUITS; NOT ITS LEAVES OR SEEDS.
Jesus said;
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore, by their fruits you will know them. Matthew 7:15-20 NKJV
Sometimes when we read this scripture, our minds go to the preachers we all know to be false prophets. During those times we forget that the warning of the LORD in this scripture is about all forms of falsehood in the Church, either from those in the clergy or those in the laity. And it made it clear that we will only be able to recognize it by the fruits.
Do not forget, you do not see the fruit of a tree when it is still a seed. Meaning, until the people begin to bear their evil fruits, we will be deceived to treat them as warriors of GOD.
In other words, when they are at the seed stage, we will call them brethren. When they begin to grow their leaves that seems to be giving healing, we will call them children of God. But when they begin to bear fruits, that is when we will begin to know, “these are not part of us; these are an extension of Satan.”
And that is not possible by prayer or fasting but by sound doctrine. It is through sound doctrine we recognize their fruits. With what we have experienced so far, I will say indeed, these are days of lying spirits. At this point, let me show you something that will be of help!
BIBLE PROPHECIES SPOKE ABOUT THE SECOND COMING OF THE SPIRIT OF ELIJAH.
If there is going to be the second coming of the Spirit of GOD in sanctified vessels the way He worked in Elijah, then know that there will be the second coming of the prophets of Baal and Ashtoreth, and the spirit of Jezebel and Athaliah will also be here because these four are always together and are a formidable team.
In Bible days these four almost eliminated the coming of the messiah through spiritual infiltration. Baal spread lawlessness by giving out deliverance and economic prosperity to people who rebelled against God, Athaliah wanted to kill the seed that was to continue the lineage that God was building to bring forth the messiah, hence killing the royal seed in the palace.
Ashtoreth or Asherah was the god of sexual immorality who activities desecrated God’s holy people through temple prostitution and ritual sex. So, this team of four really created havoc in Israel in bible days. But just as Heaven dealt with them then, GOD has a plan for them now.
For instance, God’s package of judgment for the spirit of Jezebel, which loves usurping authority and being in charge, sometimes by dishing out factual but lying prophecies, so that leadership or followership will summit to it, is contain in Christ’s admonition to the corrupt church in the book of revelation. He said to it;
“Nevertheless, I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.
And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.
I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works. Revelation 2:20-23 NKJV
This scripture presented to us God’s way of dealing with the spirit of Jezebel, as it sought to use out rightly lying prophecies, or factual prophecies from lying spirits, to neutralize us.
IT SAYS I WILL KILL HER CHILDREN WITH THE SWORD. HER CHILDREN ARE HER FRUITS. AND BY THEIR FRUITS THEY ARE KNOWN.
The sword the LORD will use to kill, is the sword of sound doctrine – the doctrine of Christ. God will use sound teachings and instructions from the Spirit of prophecy which is the Testimony of Jesus Christ, to neutralize Jezebel and all she aims at His Church.
That also tells us what will happen where there are no sound doctrines; the spirit will operate successfully and unchallenged.
There were few people with the spirit of Jezebel who joined our Church here and Kenya. They later came to me to display their spirituality, and I spotted it in them. I kept them sitting down until they left. The spirit does not like sitting down. It like being engaged by leadership. They left because I saw it and did what the spirit hate, and today they are spreading that we are not of God – the very thing Jezebel said about Elijah, making Ahab to call him “my enemy.”
I have been in church groups and prayer teams where this spirit operates. You see one person giving prophecies and everyone lining up to receive. Others go from house to house, dishing out dreams and prophecies to ignorant people or fellow church members.
Now that we are in the days of text messages, many now use their phones. They will begin, by saying they are praying for you, or by sending some unsolicited prayers. As soon as you respond, the journey into their mouths has began. Our devotional text says;
“I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
But if they had stood in My counsel, And had caused My people to hear My words, Then they would have turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their doings.” Jeremiah 23:21-22 NKJV
Anyone God has not sent, who goes about prophesying to people, sharing dreams or interpreting them, or praying and bringing a word from ‘God,’ is a bullet in the hands of the enemy looking for a righteous soul to destroy. There are so many of such bullets especially here in Kenya where we live and minister. And other nations are plagued with even much more.
The aim of those bullets from Satan is to neutralize us.
For instance, when they bring a word that creates panic, you will seek solution from them. Then they give you the solution and you become their slaves in the spirit realm.
Once you are their slave, they will begin to neutralize you completely. That is why God promised us that He will give us pastors after His heart, who will feed us with knowledge and understanding, not preachers who will be prophesying recklessly on us, or seemingly spiritual and deep church members who will be praying for us, or sending text messages of encouragement, or prophecies to us.
I believe enough to use in adding to the building block of your faith has been shared.
Sound doctrine is what you should go for, if you do not want to be a victim of deception this end time. One pastor after God’s heart is who you should have, someone who can feed you with sound doctrine, not a chain of prayer warriors or a seemingly deep and spiritual brother or sister out there.

“Return, O backsliding children,” says the LORD; “for I am married to you. I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion. And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.
“Then it shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased in the land in those days,” says the LORD, “that they will say no more, ‘The ark of the covenant of the LORD.’ It shall not come to mind, nor shall they remember it, nor shall they visit it, nor shall it be made anymore.
“At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of the LORD, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem. No more shall they follow the dictates of their evil hearts. Jeremiah 3:14-17 NKJV
