THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (SUNDAY 11TH AUGUST 2024)

“John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven.

You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before Him.’

He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled.

He must increase, but I must decrease. He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.” John 3:27-31 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 224TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.

Crowning a year with His goodness is one of the characteristics of God.

That is why He starts our years with declarations that are sent to shape them. The declaration reveals the kind of goodness the LORD wants to crown a particular year with.

For us in the apostolic family of the Cry of the Spirit, the specific goodness that our LORD and savior Jesus Christ decided to crown our year with, is the goodness of the impact of who He is in our lives. So far this year alone, we have seen a revelation of who He is in our lives; we have seen Him do amazing things that have left our mouths open in wonder, and our hearts receptive to His will.

This morning we join our Bible father David to say;

“When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream.

Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.”

The LORD has done great things for us, and we are glad.” Psalm 126:1-3 NKJV

We fit into every verse of this scripture. This year alone the LORD has brought back the captivity of many. In other words, He has delivered many from the enemy of their souls, and given them beauty for ashes and joy for every tear they have shed.

We are who and what we are today because the LORD has done great things for us. Yes, the LORD has done great things for us, and we are glad. We are not just glad we are grateful.

The great things are products of His marvelous works. His marvelous works are products of His amazing grace. His amazing grace is an impact of who He is in our lives; the gracious One, full of compassion and abounding in mercy.

WHATEVER COMES FROM THE IMPACT OF WHO HE IS IN OUR LIVES, IS USUALLY ABOVE WHATEVER YOU CAN THINK OF ON EARTH.

It is usually powerful, uncontestable, demolishing whatever is from hell in the speed of light.

That brings us to the next set of miracles we will be looking at from today. I call them throne room miracles. Yesterday, the LORD spoke to us about the miracles of His grace. In fact, throne room miracles are also miracles of God’s grace, because the throne of God is a throne of grace. You see that in Hebrews 4:16.

I don’t think there is any time we need the supernatural power of God in our lives like now. If there is anytime we need Holy Spirit made Miracles, Signs, and wonders, it is now. One of the major reasons is because, there is nothing we can be in Christ without His miracle working power.

We cannot be holy, pure, loving, kind, forgiving, gracious, merciful and blessed, without His miracle working power enabling it. We cannot be who God wants us to be this end time without His supernatural power. By strength shall no man prevail. If you will not fall away, if you will keep the faith, and fight for it where necessary, you need God’s miracle working power.

If we will escape the hyper deception of the end times, we will need God’s miracle working power. If we will withstand all that is coming from the throne of Satan around us, we will need God’s miracle working power. If we will overcome what the throne of Satan is using some established Churches to do, we will need God’s miracle working power.

To walk in that power, we must understand the characteristic of miracles from God. That is what I want us to look at today, because there is a lot of counterfeit.

To start with, it is important to understand that all genuine redemptive activities of God come from His throne room. All graces, anointings, and authentic ministries are from God’s Throne.

All with genuine callings and real word from the LORD, have their spirits outsourcing what they preach from the Throne Room.

WHEN WE SAY THE THRONE ROOM, WE ARE REFERRING TO THE THRONE OF GOD ALMIGHTY.

Whatever is of the Throne room is from above. In other words, it is far beyond whatever is from any other Throne or realm; the throne of Satan inclusive. That is why in our devotional text today, John the Baptist described Christ in these words; “He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.”

Lying in this statement is one of the Characteristics of whatever comes from the Throne Room of God.

Jesus is the embodiment of what proceeds from the Throne of God because He came down from there; and if you watch the way He handled the works of the devil, you will marvel at how weak the enemy is in the hands of a mighty God. That is why the Bible says we should cast all our cares on Christ because He cares for us.

You may not know that He cares, just understand that He does. One of our Bible fathers, apostle Peter, put it this way;

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7 KJV

One way we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God is to cast our cares upon Him instead of giving them to our mortal hearts to carry. The journey to the miraculous in Christ, begins when we cast our care upon the LORD on the prayer knee.

When we give our cares to our mortal hearts to carry, it could lead to all kinds of worries, then diseases, and even heart failure. It will shut down our faith system, and prevent us from accessing the realms where miracles from God’s throne proceed from.

It is important to understand that your heart was not designed to carry your cares. Your heart was designed to carry the Spirit of the LORD God, who cares for you. Your cares are to be sent to God so that miracles will come from His Throne Room to deal with them.

I hope you understand me!!!

DO NOT FORGET, WHATEVER COMES FORM THE THRONE ROOM IS FROM ABOVE AND IT IS ABOVE ALL.

Our devotional text says;

To access miracles from God’s throne, we need to understand certain truths. Some of them are buried in this scripture.

The first truth to understand is this, “a man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven.” It is a significant truth to settle in your heart, if you want to get anything from God’s throne. The journey into miracles from God’s throne begins from the place of faith, where you and I understand that we can receive nothing except it be given to us from above.

That is why when you see people receiving miracles from the LORD, do not feel jealous or envious. Whatever they receive you can also receive. Just approach the throne of grace for it. In doing so, always remember, a man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from the throne room of GOD.

Whatever we lack in our lives, has a supply station that is not of this world. That is why the first place to look out for it is not the earth, but the presence of the LORD. Looking at the earth will make us trust man, and cursed is he who trust in man.

Understand that the earth is not the place to outsource significant help from. All significant helps come from GOD. That is why kneeling down before GOD is the first thing to do when you are in need.

IT IS THE BEGINNING PLACE OF THRONE ROOM MIRACLES.

The next word says,

“You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before Him.’

He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore, this joy of mine is fulfilled.”

What can we glean from here? So much! But let me just share what is necessary for now.

John the Baptist understood what he was not, unlike many of us in ministry today. He understood that he or any other were not the Christ. He was not deluded about his identity neither was he deceived.

We live in seasons where many are getting entrapped in strong delusions due to the nature of their hearts. That is why so many believe and walk in doctrines of men and demons, especially the ones that address their earthly needs.

They defend and fight for preachers who preach or practice dark things. Some say the things are working for them, hence they are of God. Others say, we should shut up, because the dark practices are working for them, and they will not depart from them.

Sadly, this people are naïve, hence saying such things. They do not know that miracles do not come from God alone. Miracles that make people hold on to extra Biblical or anti-Biblical practices and teachings, come from Satan. The Bible says,

“The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,

and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 2 Thessalonians 2:9-11 NKJV

There are so many lies people are believing today because of the strong delusions their passions have shaped them to believe and follow. Some people have believed that their stars are stolen, hence their suffering.

PEOPLE NOW BELIEVE SO MUCH NONSENSE.

The miracles you may get believing and walking in lying teachings that many preachers are presenting in the language of truth to those who go to them, will never be from GOD’s throne. If you want miracles from GOD’s throne, do not walk in delusions or deceptions. Walk in Bible truth.

When you walk in Bible truths, your life will be established in righteousness and justice, making Throne Room Miracles a regular in your life. The Bible Says this about the throne of GOD. It says;

“The north and the south, You have created them; Tabor and Hermon rejoice in Your name. You have a mighty arm; Strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand.

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face.” Psalm 89:12-14 NKJV

Righteousness and Justice are the foundation of God’s throne. If we walk in Bible truths and align with our Maker, we will become aligned with the foundation of God’s throne, making throne room miracles regular in our lives.

I believe the LORD has spoken to us this morning. Do not forget, whatever is from God’s Throne is above all and no force on earth can successfully resist it. God wants us to cast our cares to him so that His throne can deal with them.

When we kneel, stand, lay down, or take any position in prayer, especially with a pure heart, and a life that is established in righteousness and justice, we will be able to place our cares in the very throne of GOD and watch Him turn things around in our lives.

As we bring this to a close, always remember, the first thing to do when you are in trouble, is to kneel before God asking for help.

LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR YOU TODAY!

“ Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:14-16 NKJV
