TODAY’S DEVOTION (Monday 15th September 2025)
God was pleased with what they were doing and put his stamp of approval on it — quite a number of the Greeks believed and turned to the Master. Acts 11:21 THE MESSAGE
WELCOME TO THE 258th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
Glory to God almighty for giving us another day from the womb of His mercies! What a day to be alive on earth and in Christ Jesus.
He has done great things for us, kept us alive and fed us with the choices of His word. He has also used this devotional to keep us in faith. While the cares of this world remain the greatest drive of most, keeping the faith is the drive of the people of God. We cherish how the LORD helps us to keep the faith!!
You see, we are in a terminal generation. Like we have always shared, a terminal generation is a generation that marks the beginning if an end. In a terminal generation the best thing to keep is your faith. If we do not keep the faith, we will depart or fall from it.
Come to think of it, one thing Jesus was wondering if He will find when He returns to take us home is faith. He said in Luke 18:
“… Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8 NKJV
Yes, when the son of man, your LORD and personal savior comes to take you as a person home, will He find you in the faith that was once and for all delivered to the saints? The faith that has purity, power and the prosperity of the righteous against every form of darkness in it.
When He comes to take me home, will He find that faith in me?
That is the question to keep asking ourselves in these perilous times, because a lot of us are no longer holding on to the faith that was delivered to the saints. We are now holding on to a perverted faith that is full of worldliness, perversion, deception, lack of personal integrity, moral failures and all the Bible say should not be found in our lives.
We are holding on to a faith that allows us to sleep with people that are not our wives or husbands, a faith that allows us to have sex with anyone we desire, be addicted to drugs, alcohol, and all that and still come to church and appear as if nothing happened; a faith that is preparing one for the fires of hell.
WE ARE HOLDING ON TO A FAITH THAT ALLOWS SOME TO BE GAYS, LESBIANS, LIARS, TRAITORS, AND REBELLIOUS.
Yes, many today are holding on to a faith that describes love as allowing people to be ungodly and sinful and not tell them the truth of where such lives will lead them. We are holding on to a faith that is simply a form of godliness without power, a faith that calls Him “LORD, LORD,” but does not do what He says, or live the righteous, godly and pure life calling Him LORD calls for.
We are holding on to a faith that allows us to divorce our wives or husband and go for available men or women as their replacement at the slighted provocation, and still stand in church to participate in meetings, sing, pray or lead without conviction. We are holding on to a faith that no longer respect marriage vows, God’s standard for running our homes and the very family values the early church upheld.
Many are holding on to a faith that allows children to show no respect for their fathers or mothers, but curse them, a faith that rejects accountability to authority and fosters a kind of freedom that has moral infections. Yes, we are holding on to a faith that talk down on those who want to live right and demonize or vilify them until they walk away from God’s will or ways.
We are holding on to a faith that is full of the love of many, the desire for and pursuit of the mundane, with no testimony of Jesus Christ, the very testimony that those who are now in the clouds of many witnesses upheld when the faith was faith delivered.
Jesus foresaw this and warned that keeping the faith will be one of the major issues when we get to these times. Friends, our faith is presently under constant attack, a lot about it has been compromised. Until you study the holy Scripture you might not understand what I am saying.
NOW, WHEN WE SAY KEEPING THE FAITH, WE ARE REFERRING TO KEEPING THE TWO SIDES OF IT.
The side of our common beliefs, and the side of always having confidence in God. We keep both sides in so many ways, one way is by finding out by the help of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Scriptures things with God’s stamp of approval and making sure those are the only things guides our actions, decisions and motives. Our devotional today says:
God was pleased with what they were doing and put his stamp of approval on it — quite a number of the Greeks believed and turned to the Master. Acts 11:21 THE MESSAGE
Keeping the faith involves doing only the things that are pleasing to God, and those are the things that His word and Spirit approve. When we do what His word and Spirit approve, there will be a further stamp of approval that He will puts in our lives. This stamp will manifest as blessings, victory in life, deliverances, or God’s definition of success.
I am yet to see an action, decision or motive that God approves condemning anyone to hell or making the person suffer defeat in the hand of the devil. If you want to keep the faith, you must learn to do only the things that God approves or things that will please Him enough to attract His stamp of approval.
Amazingly, we live in a wicked world that makes sure people who do things that God approves are severely persecuted, killed, and vanquished. The first person to suffer this kind of attack was Abel. He was the first to be killed for doing what God approved.
Job was severely attacked by Satan for doing what God approved. Paul the apostle suffered more than the rest of the apostles for the same reasons. At one time a messenger of Satan was sent to him to buffet him, but he prayed, and the LORD said to him,
…”My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”… 2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV
Sufficient grace is always available to those who are persecuted, killed, or stone for living lives, or taking decisions, that God approves. God does that to prevent them from falling from faith. Yes, people depart from the faith or switch it with the perverted version found in church today when they can no longer stand the cost of keeping it.
BUT THE LORD IS SAYING TO US THIS MORNING, “MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU, FOR MY STRENGHT IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS.”
Stand in His grace and do not switch the original faith our Bible Fathers upheld with the perverted one on ground today. We know we are under pressure from the spirit of hell, our carnal nature, societal expectations, family expectations and all that, but the Bible says:
“….do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.
Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” Hebrews 10:35-38 NKJV
We draw back when we switch faith, when we replace the faith delivered to the saints in the early church with the perverted faith this devotional addresses, a faith that allows us to return to our old nature and still address ourselves as born again, a faith that makes us desperate for the mundane instead of hungry and thirsty for righteousness.
We cannot return to our old sinful ways and still be Christians by Biblical definition, let no one deceive you about that. We cannot draw back and still see the blessings, deliverances, graces, prosperity and power God reserved for His own at work in our lives. We cannot draw back and still see the power of the cross at work in our lives.
Keeping the faith irrespective of the circumstances remains the only way, even when it is the hard way.
It is my prayer that none of us will draw back. That the LORD keep leading us in paths of righteousness like He has done this morning. That the word we have received will be health to our moral bones and strength in our inner man, in Jesus precious name. Amen!!
MAKE THIS DAY YOUR DAY OF DIVINE ADJUSTMENTS!
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.” Psalm 23:1-3 NKJV
