TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 5TH May 2026)
“Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth, and put perverse lips far from you.” Proverbs 4:23-24 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 125TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORY.
It’s been 124 days of hearing from the LORD through this platform. Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Father.
It is when we hear from the LORD that faith, spiritual growth, a special anointing and revelation knowledge, among other things, comes. The Ignorance of God can be very deadly. If what you ought to know in Christ is not revealed to your heart, you will be diminishing in that area of life.
That is why you must fulfil your call into discipleship by desiring to be schooled in the things of God more than anything else.
There are things we ought to know; things that if we do not know we will be ruined. Hearing from God either by the prophetic anointing or by truths taught to us, are some of the ways we discover those things and prevents our ruin or unlock our progress. When we hear it, it’s very powerful, but when we do it, it’s more powerful.
The things we need to hear are the very things GOD preplanned before the world began that we know. They are the things that our souls were designed by God to accommodate. The Bible describe them as things which the Holy Spirit teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
Your heart as a Child of God should always be in search of those things. When you find them, you begin to keep or protect your heart with all diligence so that they may take root and issue out or create a beautiful life for you!! Sometimes the things are taught at advanced level, other times they are shared through human vessels.
However, irrespective of how they come, they have capacity to open Heavenly portals in our souls when they are known.
When a heavenly portal is opened in your soul, you will become like a tree that is planted by the river of water. Whatever you do, within the will of God, you will prosper. Yes, there is power to prosper regardless of what might be against you. It comes when a heavenly portal is opened over your life, right in your heart.
IT IS A PORTAL OF POWER THAT BEATS EVERYTHING THAT WANTS TO REDUCE YOUR LIFE TO ASHES.
It is a portal of power that grant you economic success regardless of the odds. That was the portal God opened over the soul of Jacob that made it possible for him to prosper in a very “anti-prosperity environment.” He can do the same for you. You see the opening of that portal in the soul, heart or life of Jacob in the 28th chapter of the book of Genesis. The Bible says:
“Now Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran.
So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep.
Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.
And behold, the Lord stood above it and said: “I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants. Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.” Genesis 28:10-15 NKJV
The ladder was a Heavenly spiral staircase, a Heavenly portal with angels ascending and descending. It opened over the soul, heart or life of Jacob before he got to the anti-prosperity environment of the house of Laban.
The encounter, was the seed of the prosperity he had or created when he got to the house of Laban, despite the odds that surrounded him in that place. That is what we all need to prosper in this world regardless of the odds, not some bottles of oil in our hands, salt in prayer, feet washing, use of horns, or going to mountains or caves to pray for anything.
HIS LIFE TEACHES US THAT WE NEED SOMETHING BIGGER THAN ALL THESE NONSENSE BEING GIVEN IN CHURCH TODAY TO PROSPER.
Yes, we need something that will keep the manifest presence of God in our lives wherever we go, to make sure it does not leave us, until all that God may have promised us has been performed. That is the very thing that will help us to prosper regardless of the odds that might be against us from the pits of hell.
It is bigger than a prayer cloth they give you, or miracle water from a prophet, the art of writing prayer points and sending them to someone to pray for you, while you plant a seed, it is bigger than all the so-called altars they tell people to raise. It is a heavenly portal of blessing and power. Hallelujah!!
If God open His portal over your life, economic prosperity will become inevitable. Portals are spiritual gates that connect the invisible world with the visible. The portal of Heaven connects the invisible world of God to our visible world. That is why they make us prosper.
They bring Heaven’s environment in form of power, vision, glory, and other forms of supernatural treasures to our physical lives when they open in us or over us, pushing back the enemy, changing battle tunes, paralyzing evil hands, defeating the craftiness of the wicked, and turning things around.
Today’s word was sent to tell you that God wants this portal opened over your life, and you need to find a spiritual authority who can help that happen in your life, not the one that will give you water, oil, salt, un-holy communion, or lead you to endless prayer houses, camps, or etc. The possibility of having these portals open over us by the instrumentality of a spiritual leader with Jesus on His inside, was demonstrated in what the LORD said to Nathaniel, who was then a prospective follower. The Bible says,
And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.” John 1:51 NKJV
JESUS WAS REFERRING TO THE OPENING OF HEAVENLY PORTALS WITHIN HIS SPIRIT, SOUL AND BODY.
One of such moments was in Matthew 17 where the portals opened and His face was transformed like the Sun. Stephen also lived a life with an opened portal within His spirit, soul and body. That was why his face shone also. The Bible says:
“And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people. .. And all who sat in the council, looking steadfastly at him, saw his face as the face of an angel”. Acts 6:8, 15 NKJV
Stephen was full of faith and power because the Heavenly portal opened within Him. His life is a testament that it is possible for Heavenly portals to open within a child of God who walks with Him intimately and hears from Him.
As we bring this to a close, understand that God wants His portals opened within us. If His portals are not opened within us, the portals of hell will open it’s just a matter of time. Yes, there are portals of hell that open within people. They are responsible for suffering and other bad things that will not go away despite prayers, fasting and all that.
Whatever suffering that refused to go away can only be eliminated when Heavenly portals open, to replace that of hell that is responsible for the suffering, disease, poverty, lack, or failure that will not go away. Find a church that teaches sound doctrines under the glory, not under the anointing, and plant yourself there.
If you do, over time, portals of Heaven will open within you, replacing any portal of hell that may be operating in or around your life.
The power of what you hear in church cannot be overemphasized.
For some, what they hear in churches Jesus calls synagogues of Satan, is the cause of their problems. If what they hear are doctrines of devils, stollen messages or powerless sermons, they will battle with the portals of hell over time. Do not forget, doctrines of devils open evil portals over the hearts of those who are taught them. They keep the demonic closer to them than the divine.
That is why people who are taught things about the devil, evil altars, curses, evil patterns in father’s houses, etc. are always in spiritual warfare. Church is in such a sorry state because of these things. But thank God for God’s redemption plans that are ongoing.
May you find a church with an apostolic authority with capacity to open Heavenly portals within your spirit, soul and body, in Jesus precious name. Amen

And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” Matthew 17:1-5 NKJV
