TODAY’S DEVOTION (FRIDAY 17TH MARCH 2023)
“Therefore, behold, I will allure her, Will bring her into the wilderness, And speak comfort to her.
I will give her her vineyards from there, And the Valley of Achor as a door of hope; She shall sing there, As in the days of her youth, As in the day when she came up from the land of Egypt.
“And it shall be, in that day,” Says the LORD, “That you will call Me ‘My Husband,’ And no longer call Me ‘My Master,’ Hosea 2:14-16 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 76TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS!
For 76 days, the LORD has been speaking, edification, exhortation, and comfort to us. We give Him all the glory for that. Indeed, it is not just out of His mercies that we are not consumed, it is also out of the living truths we have been experiencing that we are not consumed.
The best way to make use of GOD’s mercy is to walk in truth. We will abuse God’s mercies and make them of no full effect in our lives, if we do not walk in truth, especially after God may have shown them to us. The first nation to have seen God’s mercies, and failed to respond by walking in truth, was the nation of Israel.
The Bible says their bodies were scattered in the wilderness as a result. The word of the LORD would later say those things happened to them for our admonition and example.
Meaning, if we do not take lessons from their lives, we will repeat what they did and experience the consequences.
Sadly, many of us humans have been repeating what they did, that is why our bodies may not be scattering but our marriages, finances, and entire lives are scattering or in disarray. This is aside the bodies of those who are scattering due to ill health, accidents or war.
Indeed, a people who will not walk in truth after God have shown them mercy, will not survive the terrible wilderness of this world. One way to walk in truth is the discover the precious word you carry and maintain the faith positions for carrying it.
Today we will be going further on our discourse about the precious word.
We have shared that, the cost of carrying the precious seed from the moment of conception, through the gestation stage to delivery, is not always easy. But the Bible made it clear that it is not always on us but on GOD. You see that littered all through the scriptures.
He has always bore the cost of making sure His precious seed in our lives is safe, sound and delivered as preplanned.
The examples of His unconditional commitment to His holy seed in us, is seen in the lives of all Bible men who carried the seed. From Adam in the Garden who bore the seed that we all have become, to the disciples.
BEFORE ADAM WAS CREATED, A GARDEN WAS WAITING FOR HIM.
God took out time to create an earth, then a garden. That was before He created Adam. What was all the preparation for? It was not because God was being frivolous with His creative power, it was because a purpose was about being born and an environment for it must be created.
So, the earth and the Garden, came before the man that will need it because of the precious seed he would carry.
There is a principle here, God will first of all bless you with all you will need to carry His holy seed from the declaration to the manifestation, before he plants it in your spirit.
He will first plant your Garden of blessings, provisions, peace and prosperity, before planting His seed in you. The only thing there is, the Garden will not be physical or natural. It will be spiritual and supernatural in natural.
What will take it from the spiritual realm where it is planted, to the natural realm where you are living, is the faith positions you take while carrying the holy seed.
That is why, whenever we embrace these faith positions, and come into alignment with the consecrations that the holy seed we carry demands, we will begin to experience a manifestation of God that is uncommon.
In other words, the Garden God has planted in the spiritual realm of our lives will begin to be made manifest, and we will begin to experience a change of life on earth. That is why you can not find a carrier of the holy seed in a situation that God will never intervene, especially when the call upon Him.
His intervention resources are usually from the Garden He has planted for them in the spirit realm.
Paul had a time on the high sea where he would have died, but God reached out to the Garden He planted around him in the realm of the spirit, and took an intervention resource called “dominion” and gave it to an angel to take to him. He got it and came out of the shipwreck alive with others.
David had it rough with Goliath of Gath, Saul, the Jebusites, a 13-year period of being called all he was not, leading to over 3000 soldiers following Saul to hunt for him.
HE HAD IT ROUGH WHEN HE BECAME KING AND TOOK OVER ANOTHER MAN’S WIFE, AND KILLED THE MAN TO COVER UP
.
He had it rough when his son who killed his brother (one of David’s sons) and was forgiven, insulted his mercies, dethroned him, and slept with his concubines, desecrating him publicly. He had it rough when there was blood shed in his own house.
Those who took David’s victory over all that Saul did to him to mean David’s wickedness, thought God was avenging for Saul.
So, if you look at the life of David, he had a lot to contend with; from the declaration of the precious word or holy seed he carried, to the finishing line, but God supplied him with intervention resources on each occasion. That was why he made it to the hall of faith.
It will be impossible to carry a holy seed, from conception to full manifestation, without having a spiritual atmosphere around you, that has the Garden of the holy seed you carry planted in it. It is that spiritual atmosphere that will be like a cloud that is full of rain, with the showers of blessings falling on you whenever you are in need of them.
For instance, if you are in need of divine protection, it will come from there. If you are in need of divine provision, it will come from there. If you are in need of divine attention, it will come from there. If you are in need of the mercy of God, especially after sinning against Him, it will come from there.
When the dragon unleashes himself upon you, because of the precious word or holy seed you carry, the glory of God will appear from there to defend you. That was what happened to Joshua and Caleb.
They and 10 others had gone to spy the land they were to go in and possess. Others brought what the Bible calls an evil report, but they brought a faith filled report. But the people believed the report of their colleagues; the ten spies, and displayed a lot of bitter emotions.
The dragon saw that, and decided to use it to eliminate the duo.
Joshua was carrying the holy seed called “Moses successor,” and Caleb was carrying the seed called, “mountain possessor.” Satan never wanted either to be born, hence making use of the anger and disappointment of the people to kill them.
BUT THE BIBLE SAYS, “THE GLORY OF THE LORD APPEARED.”
Where did it come from? There was a Garden around them that supplied the intervention force that day. If God had not deployed that intervention resources, there would have been no Joshua and Moses would have not had a successor.
Meaning, Israel would have all died in the wilderness. A major redemptive plan would not have been executed.
Every thing God did that day and in the lives of others who carried the precious seed, shows us one thing; that the owner of the seed will always bear the cost of having us carrying his seed from the declaration to the full manifestation. That is why we should not fear.
We should only be sure what we carry came from God, because he lamented in His word saying, “I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran, I have not spoken to them, yet the prophesied.” In other words, I have not given any holy seed to these guys, but they are behaving like I did.
It is very possible to conceive something and give it over to GOD, like a promiscuous woman would do; she will conceive a child with another and give it to another. God will only pay the bills of the person whose seed is from Him. He will never plant a Garden in the spiritual atmosphere of anyone who is not carrying His seed.
We must be sure the seed we carry belong to Him, before we can enjoy the benefits, He loads carriers of His holy seed, with.
And in carrying the seed, the Bible made it clear that we are to carry it, not relating with GOD as a Master but as a husband. Meaning, we are to carry the holy seed married to Him, and Him alone, not just obeying His voice. You can be obedient to who you are not married to.
GOD WANT US TO CARRY THE SEED, NOT JUST OBEYING HIM, BUT MARRIED TO HIM.
That brings us to the underlining truths in our devotional text. The text says;
This scripture made it clear that once we carry His seed, we are to go deep in Him; we are to begin another kind of relationship with Him. It made it clear that God wants us to carry His seed married to Him, not to the world, our wishes, our flesh or our carnal desires.
Yes, He want us to carry it married to Him and living in His house. Not living in our own house of the flesh, or living on the streets of the ways of this world, but living in His house – His presence, ways, will and words. He wants us to carry it maintaining the highest level of intimacy.
I believe the LORD has spoken to us today. The message of the day is simple. It says, the cost of carrying the precious seed, from the moment of conception, through the gestation stage, to delivery is not on us but on GOD. The only thing we need to do is to carry it married to Him.
Most times we carry the things of God married to our self, our ways, our religion, our carnality, or sinful lives etc. We call God master but married to what is not God, thereby putting the seed in danger.
God wants us to carry what is His, married to Him so that there will be no flesh interference. It is the interference of the flesh that usually result in Ishmaels being born as Isaacs. And God does not want you and I to have such seeds in His name. He wants us to have His own seed in His name. That is the message!
LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY
“It shall come to pass in that day That I will answer,” says the LORD; “I will answer the Heavens, And they shall answer the earth.
The earth shall answer with grain, with new wine, And with oil; They shall answer Jezreel.” Hosea 2:21-22 NKJV
