TODAY’S DEVOTION (WEDNESDAY 29TH MARCH 2023)
And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.
Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible.”
Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.” Luke 1:35-38 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 88TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS!
Glory be to God for His marvelous kindness and amazing deeds. He has given us another day again to be alive and we are grateful. We are not just alive, but alive and well.
For the whole of this month, the word of the LORD has been coming to us on the precious word that we carry as believers. The word of insight that has come to us, have edified and enlightened us on matters of the precious word the LORD has put in our hearts.
Today we will be looking at more beautiful truths that will be of help to us. I hope you are ready!!
We have been made to understand that the precious word is the holy seed, because the seed is the word of God. Everything about the word of God, is God Himself who manifested as Jesus Christ, who is also called the Righteous or Holy Seed. That explains why the word of the LORD is always powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, with capacity to pierce to the dividing asunder of the soul and the spirit, the bone and the marrow; judging the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
It tells us why it is so dynamic that many Godless people, and Christ-less nations fear it. The Bible says;
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” John 1:1-5 NKJV
Yes, in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. Nothing less! This scripture presents the first revelation of the word of God as a person.
THAT IS ALSO THE FIRST TIME WE ARE SEEING THE WORD AS A PERSON.
It is the Spirit of the person called “the word of God,” that gives life, power, effect, performance, efficacy, creative ability and related Heavenly forces to the word of God.
That is why the word of God is nothing without His Spirit – the Spirit of God.
You see, one of the greatest investments God made on earth, especially to make His word work in the lives of men, is the release of His Holy Spirit to the earth. That is why the release or manifestation of the Holy Spirit, is the first revelation of the Godhead we see in scriptures. The Bible says;
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.” Genesis 1:1-3 NKJV
If the Spirit of God was not hovering, or brooding over the waters, like Eagles hover or brood over trees, when God said “let there be light,” there would have been no light. It is the presence of the Holy Spirit over the waters and the darkness thereof that created what the LORD said.
We have been looking at faith positions for precious word or holy seed carriers. As we bring this month-long journey to a close, understand that without the Holy Spirit, the precious word or holy seed we carry, will never become what God intends it to become; it will never be born. Whatever concerns the word of the LORD, can only be performed by the Spirit of the LORD.
Whatever is spoken by the word of the LORD, can only be performed by the Spirit of the LORD. If the LORD speak healing to our bodies, the Spirit of God must be in our lives to bring that Healing to manifestation.
If the LORD speaks financial freedom into our lives, the Spirit of the LORD must be in our lives to bring its manifestation to pass. If the LORD speaks holiness, purity or righteousness into our lives, the Spirit of the LORD must be in our lives to bring it into manifestation.
IF THE LORD PUT HIS HOLY SEED IN OUR LIVES, THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD MUST BE IN OUR LIVES TO BRING THE SEED INTO FULL MANIFESTATION.
Whatever the word of God says, can only be performed in our lives by the Spirit of God. Let no one confused you about that. The Spirit and the word must be in harmony, for the word to be performed in our lives by the Spirit. I hope you understand.
Meaning, if the word of the LORD is not in a place, the Spirit of the LORD will have nothing to perform in that place, no matter how we pray, especially when it come to prospering in our walk with the LORD, having peace in our lives, or having peace in our nations.
For instance, if we want peace in a nation, we need the authentic word of the LORD to be heard in that nation. The gospel of the Kingdom must be preached in that nation; not the gospel of redemption of first born, raising of altars, and all kinds of money-making gospel. The authentic gospel must be preached in a nation for the Spirit of the LORD to find what to use to change that nation.
No amount of Prayer can change a nation full of preachers with lying gospel in their mouths.
I have heard and read preachers leading believers to pray and say; “the blood of Jesus is speaking over Kenya,” or “the blood of Jesus is speaking over Nigeria.” They pray or say that when there is chaos or unwanted happenings in those nations. But from Biblical point of view, the blood of Jesus does not speak over nations. It only speaks over one nation, and that nation is the Holy Nation – the Church. Jesus says;
“I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours.” John 17:9 NKJV
The blood of someone who says, “I do not pray for the world…” will not speak for the world. It will not speak over any nation of the world. Understand that. The only place His blood will speak is His own body, His church – those in the Mount Zion Realm. You find the full revelation of this in Hebrews 12.
That scriptures says, it speaks in mount Zion, not in any other place. And mount Zion is a Church realm, it is a realm of the Holy Nation – the Church. It is not a political entity called Kenya or Nigeria, or any other nation under Heaven. The word says;
“But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,
to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.” Hebrews 12:22-24 NKJV
SO, BASED ON THIS SCRIPTURE, IF YOU SAY THE BLOOD OF JESUS SHOULD SPEAK OVER A NATION OF THIS WORLD, YOU ARE IGNORANT. IT WILL NOT!!
It speaks over Mount Zion, and over those who lives their earthly lives from there, the church of the first born, the Holy Nation. Any people who wants the blood of Jesus to be speaking over them must get born again, genuinely, and locate their place in Mount Zion.
So, we should stop playing religion and start preaching the authentic gospel. That is what the Holy Spirit needs as a tool to stop the chaos in our nations. While we are to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, or cities we live in, we should not be saying things that make religious sense, but do not make any impact, else we will just be involved in empty religion.
For instance, in Nigeria, we have been doing tones of prayers for the nation for many years. But the result is ‘amazing.’ Nigeria is presently in a worse state than it was when those prayers started many years ago. The reason is because of the error on the lips of the preachers; the preaching of money-making gospel, instead of the Gospel of the Kingdom.
You cannot be asking God to change a nation when preachers have error on their lips. If there is error from the pulpit, there will be terror on our streets.
Everyone knows that the most praying nation under Heaven is Nigeria, but nations where people do not even pray are better than Nigeria because it is NOT prayer that change nations, but good leadership and good decisions by the populace.
THE PREACHING OF THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM CAN TRANSFORM OUR LEADERS TO BE GOOD LEADERS, AND TRANSFORM THE POPULACE INTO GOOD DECISION MAKERS.
That is what preachers must begin to preach. Else, Politicians will keep sending you to pray, while they steal and make very bad decisions that destroys a nation. Do not forget that.
I learned that, prayer for the peace of any nation alone will never change that nation. It is prayer and the preaching of the true word of the LORD that will change the nation. The Spirit of the LORD is brooding over our nations, waiting for sound doctrine to be preached, so that He can find something in harmony with Himself to use, in transforming the hearts of men and women in our nations, thereby transforming the nation.
The word and the Spirit of the LORD, are God’s transformation forces on earth. We must know how they are engaged in God’s kingdom, to be able to bring change to our individual lives and to our nations.
The principle for transforming nations or our lives, by the word and Spirit of the LORD, was powerfully demonstrated in the life of Mary, the source of the flesh of Christ. The Bible says, through her submission to God, the word became flesh and dwelled among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
But how did that happen?
The first time the angel of the LORD appeared to her to announce that, she asked a very important question; a question that sought to know the process. The answer she got is what you find in our devotional text. A major portion of the texts says;
And the angel answered and said to her,
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. Luke 1:35 NKJV
This scripture made it clear that in the Kingdom of God, the Holy Spirit must overshadow people or things, for any righteous or good thing we are praying for to be born.
Meaning, nothing we want done will be done, if the Spirit do not overshadow; and the Spirit of God will not overshadow anyplace or people where His holy word is absent. It will just brood over the place or people, but there will be no impact.
WHAT ARE WE SAYING THIS MORNING?
Understand that there is nothing the word can do in our lives if the Spirit of the LORD is not there to enable it, and there is nothing the Spirit of God can do in our lives if the holy word of the LORD is not there for Him to work on. That is the message.
The word and the Spirit must be in harmony in our lives, for us or our nations, to experience change.
Do not forget that the Spirit of the LORD is the executioner of God’s word, and that the LORD and His Spirit are designed to walk in perfect harmony. That is why there is nothing God says that His Spirit do not perform. God’s word, in perfect harmony with God’s Spirit, will do wonders.
It is my prayer that someone will find a meaning in what the LORD have shared with us, and allow the required harmony between the word and the Spirit of the LORD to be in their lives or nations, so that what we want our GOD to do, can be done. Amen!!
