TODAY’S DEVOTION (Sunday 23rd March 2025)
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 82nd DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
It is the first day of another week in our year of victory. It pleases the LORD that we begin this day in His presence. Indeed, it is the day He has made, and we shall rejoice and be glad in it.
Yesterday He spoke to us about living a fulfilled life. He showed us how strong a fulfilled life is and how weak a happy life can be, as good as it is. Day unto day He will keep uttering His voice to us, because man shall not live by bread alone but by what comes out of the mouth of the LORD!!
Today there is a word for us, even as we all prepare for our Sunday services.
To start with, understand that God did not originally create man to be independent of Him, His power, or His glory. God created man to heavily depend on Him for all things. When I say all things, I mean all things, spirit, soul, and body.
That is why if you are not heavily depending on God in everything you do, especially the critical ones like getting married, staying married, staying in the faith, making money for your family or service to God, or any other critical thing, you are malfunctioning.
God created, made, and planted man under the portals of His glory to heavily depend on Him. I used the words “create” and “made” intentionally because it is important we know their meanings.
To create is to form something from nothing. To make is to form something from something. The words explain the eternal science of how man came into existence. The word science means knowledge, or discipline. That was the science that explains how mankind was created and planted in the portal of God’s glory.
WE HAVE TAUGHT REPEATEDLY THAT A PORTAL IS AN ENTRY POINT BETWEEN HEAVEN AND EARTH.
It’s an invisible gate that either leads to Heaven or hell. That is why we have portals of hell and portals of heaven.
Man was originally created in an atmosphere of glory and planted within portals of heaven or portals of glory so that he could survive and live gloriously on an earth that was already infested by fallen angels without their interference. Portals of glory are Heavenly portals that connect Heaven to the earth.
That was where mankind was created to live! If any of us are not living under them, things will be bad.
It may interest you to know that a life of curses, struggle, sweating, striving to survive, illness and diseases, toiling and all kinds of evil we suffer today, was alien to man. All he knew was Heavenly prosperity and peace that was a result of the portals. It created a natural serenity that was exclusively divine. That was the realm he lived in.
In simple terms, it was a realm where heaven kissed the earth. Amazingly we were all inside Adam when he was in this environment. So, I will not be wrong to say that was where we all lived. But when sin entered humans, He could no longer stay within those portals.
God had to send him out of the portals leading to a life of curses and all kinds of evil works in the life of mankind. Man started sweating and striving to survive instead of just receiving from the glory to survive. The result was devastating. It resulted to a new kind of life that can be best described as “a life of bondage.” The scriptures described this new kind of life in these words.
Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’:
“Cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, and you shall eat the herb of the field.
In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; For dust you are, and to dust you shall return.” Genesis 3:17-19 NKJV
THERE IS SO MUCH TRUTH TO CHEW IN THIS SCRIPTURAL PASSAGE BUT WE CAN’T DO THAT NOW.
However, it is important to note that the person whose voice you listen to will ultimately determine your end. Adam listened to the voice of his wife, who took instructions from the devil, and here we are today. An accursed life, full of toiling, sorrow, sweating, striving, and seeking until death emerged of appeared in humanity but in the beginning, it was not so.
Life outside the portals of glory is the reason for curses, poverty, sicknesses and diseases, and all evil work. Your father’s house, or evil altars, and evil patterns etc. are not the reason. That is why I tell preachers to stop asking people who are struggling to sow seeds to be free. It is a scam!!
Anything you do outside the portals of glory may bring relief but will never bring true freedom. God’s true solution to a life of curses, struggles, pain, or sorrow is a return to the environment of God’s portals of glory, not sowing financial seeds.
If you sow financial seeds outside the portals of God’s glory, you will never reap what you expect. The Bible says thorns and thistles is what you will reap. That is why many have been reaping trouble despite their sowings, tithes or offerings. It is not the giving that is the problem but the givers and where they live in the spirit realm.
Yes, sometimes Satan will react against you when you do a giving in God’s kingdom with capacity to damage his works in your life. But such giving can only happen when you are living under the portals of glory, spiritually.
ANY ACT OF WORSHIP OUTSIDE GOD’S PORTAL OF GLORY IS A SACRIFICE OF FOOLS, BECAUSE IT WILL RESULT IN THORNS AND THISTLES.
What have we been sharing this morning? God did not create us to live independent of His glory. Sin made us independent. It exposed us to a life that was not part of a divine plan. Now God wants us back to the glory. He wants us back in the portals of glory.
That was why He became fresh and dwelt among us so we can behold His glory. And those who did said it is full of “grace and truth.” Our devotional text this morning says,
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
The glory of God is full of grace and truth. That is why men who love grace but hate truth live a limited spiritual life. At most, they will operate the anointing but never step into the glory – the portals of glory. It takes a total love for grace and truth to return to the portals of glory Jesus restored us to. That is the voice of the LORD!!!
Will you listen to God and begin your journey into the glory, or you will keep listening to the flesh, the world or people who have taken instructions from the devil. Remember, the person you listen to will ultimately determine your end.
If you want to eliminate curses in your life and everything the fall brought upon humanity, you do not need a bottle of anointing oil, some holy water, a trip to Nigeria to see some prophets, some candles to light in a vigil or mustard seeds or pitches of salt to pray with.
You need to go back to the portals of glory, and that will never happen until you begin to pursue grace and truth.
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY:
“And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.
There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.
Then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place.” Revelation 22:3-6 NKJV
