TODAY’S DEVOTION (SUNDAY 23RD November 2025)
“You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.
And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.” 2 Timothy 2:1-5 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 327TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
This is the Day the LORD has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it. He has been so good to us and amazing in His works towards us. We are alive because of His marvelous deeds in our lives.
It is another opportunity to be in corporate worship, another first day of the week. It has also been 327 days of free flow of air, in and out of our lungs, free flow of toxic things from our excretive systems, free flow of blood in our vein, free manufacturing of our white and red blood cells, etc.
Yes, it’s been 327 days of sleeping and waking up, and for those who have not fasted this year, it’s been 327 days of being able to eat and swallow the food. Gratitude is what we owe our God.
Some of these things we just mentioned may not make sense to you until you visit the hospital and find people who need machines for them to be able to do all we are doing freely. There are people who pay dearly for the air they breathe in; others spend daily to be able to experience excretion.
But here we are, able to do all and much more, naturally. If that is not enough for us to thank God for, then we do not know what God has done for us.
The LORD has taken us through 327 days of daily devotionals also, speaking into our faith and helping us to live according to His words that have been coming to us daily. Of late He has been speaking to us about Visionary living.
IT’S BEEN AN ENRICHING EXPERIENCE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING.
We have seen some laws of visionary living. Yesterday we saw the law of God’s faithfulness. Today we will be looking at the law of Man’s faithfulness. Both dimensions of faithfulness must work together to establish an eternal purpose of God in time.
Understand that Man’s faithfulness to God is the most important thing on earth, that is why faithful men are difficult to find. It’s easier to find money or gold in the belly of the earth than to find faithful men of faithfulness to God these days!!
When it comes to visionary living, it is not just God that has to be faithful, man also must be faithful. Heavenly Visions are fulfilled when faithful men work with the faithful God, or when the faithfulness of God acts on the faithfulness of men. There have been nothing significant on earth without God’s faithfulness acting on man’s faithfulness.
You must be faithful for God to make you who or what He wants you to be. The problem of many of us lies in our lack of faithfulness to God.
Most Christians will pray, fast, worship and move God to bless them significantly but withdraw the most powerful tool He uses in doing all they prayed, fasted and sort Him to do, their faithfulness. Let no one deceive us with empty words. God will need our faithfulness to do great things in and through us these end times.
Your life will change dramatically if God can find faithfulness to Him in your heart. That is what His faithfulness will act on to give you a glorious life. The Bible teaches how God’s eyes goes to and fro looking for faithful people to lift, bless and use to change the world.
If you see a move of God anywhere, some faithful men and women made it happened. Most times they are not usually among those being blessed by the move. They are usually men and women buried in the life of God that is not usually visible or self-glory seeking.
IF YOU REMOVE MAN’S FAITHFULNESS TO GOD FROM ANYTHING GOD, IT DIES. VISIONARY LIVING IS ALL ABOUT BEING FAITHFUL TO A HEAVENLY VISION.
If you do not have the required faithfulness for God to use in making His faithfulness meaningful in your life, you will still be a reproach in life despite His faithfulness to you. For instance, God was faithful to Samson.
It was the loss of Samson’s faithfulness that led to his problems in the first place. He lost it in the house of Delilah. So long as his faithfulness was intact, he was a glory to behold. But when it was lost, he became a reproach. The Bible says:
“When Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, “Come up once more, for he has told me all his heart.” So the lords of the Philistines came up to her and brought the money in their hand.
Then she lulled him to sleep on her knees, and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his head. Then she began to torment him, and his strength left him. Judges 16:18-19 NKJV
Samson was plugged into visionary living even before his birth. God handed over laws that he was to keep. It was a kingdom culture for people of God given visions that is bound to spanned for generations to be given royal laws by the LORD to keep. The essence is for God to extract the faithfulness He needs to carry out His work on earth.
Understand that God does not give us rules for fun; He gives us rules or things to be committed to while we run with His vision for our lives basically to extract faithfulness from us. He will need to accomplished His work on earth and grant us rewards in heaven.
It is the faithfulness He extracts from us that His own faithfulness needs to bring His visions, callings, assignments etc. from the declaration to the manifestation. That means we are not to break His rules or withdraw our commitment. If we do, we will lose our faithfulness, making it impossible for His faithfulness to be meaningful in our lives.
THAT IS ONE MAJOR TRUTH WE CAN GLEAN FROM THE LIFE OF SAMSON.
You see, when God called him, God made him to understand that his faithfulness would be required for his life to fulfill its purpose. Visionary living is all about our lives fulfilling their purposes.
Samson was to commit to keeping his hair untouched and the secret to himself. He was faithful in doing that until he met Delilah. When Samson met Delilah, Samson lost his faithfulness. When he lost his faithfulness, he lost what God was using to make him a sign and a wonder in the land. That was when the enemy made him a reproach and laughingstock in the land. They plucked out his eyes and made him a grinder in prison.
The Bible says:
So he awoke from his sleep, and said, “I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!” But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him.
Then the Philistines took him and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza. They bound him with bronze fetters, and he became a grinder in the prison.” Judges 16:20-21 NKJV
From the life of Samson and that of others in scriptures, we can clearly see that successful visionary living is not possible without God’s faithfulness. But our faithfulness will be required for God’s faithfulness to be meaningful in our lives.
IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE BEAUTY OF GOD’S FAITHFULNESS, MAKE YOUR OWN AVAILABLE. BE COMMITTED TO GOD, HIS WAYS AND HIS WILL.
Be committed to holy living; be committed to a life of spiritual discipline, a life of prayer and fasting, a life of truth and integrity. If there is no faithfulness from you, any faithfulness from God will not result in meaningful progress in your life. It could give you results, but the results will not last.
They will turn to trash in moments because you are not faithful.
The faithful God can only neutralize the gates of hell on earth by the faithfulness of faithful men and women. That brings us to our devotional text. The text was a charge Paul gave to Timothy which aligned greatly with the flow of divine truth on the subject matter. He said to him:
“You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.
And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.” 2 Timothy 2:1-5 NKJV
The truths in this text are deep, but we will uncover only the little that we can. The first line of truth we can see here is this; God will not commit great kingdom treasures and visions to faithless men. Men may do so, but God will never do so.
For God, if there are no faithful men to carry great kingdom treasures, there will be no release of such kingdom treasures on earth.
God’s Kingdom assets, assignments, visions and critical mandates are committed only to faithful men. If you find a faithless man carrying out a critical kingdom assignment, you have found an assignment that will either fail or be hijacked by the kingdom of darkness.
Most times it is spiritual leaders that give critical assignments to faithless men and women because of personal gain or other fleshy reasons.
GOD WILL NEVER GIVE A CRITICAL KINGDOM ASSIGNMENT TO A FAITHLESS PERSON.
God’s faithfulness will lack a meaningful expression in our lives if it does not find our faithfulness to use in turning our lives around. That is the message!!
The next line of truth from our text is about what faithfulness calls for. It calls for not entangling oneself with the affairs of this life and running the visionary life according to divine rules. The word says we will not be crowned with success by God’s faithfulness until that happens.
Faithfulness to GOD has been defined as the quality of remaining loyal, steadfast and true to God, despite adverse situations, or enticements and inducements. It is a major law of visionary living that can guarantee great success in life.
As we bring this to a close, understand the message of today. God’s faithfulness is not always enough to make us successful in visionary living. Our own faithfulness will be required. If you are not ready to be faithful to God, you will never see the fullness of His blessings in your life, no matter how much He commits Himself to you.
There is no substitute to man’s faithfulness to God. If we want to see the greatness of God’s power, grace, and glory, we must be found faithful by the LORD.
LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR US TODAY!
“Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.
But with most of them God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.
Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.
And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written,
“The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell; nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents; nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer.
Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. 1 Corinthians 10:1-11 NKJV
