TODAY’S DEVOTION (SATURDAY 18TH April 2026)
“If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,” Let Israel now say — “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us,
Then they would have swallowed us alive, when their wrath was kindled against us; Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul; then the swollen waters would have gone over our soul.”
Blessed be the Lord, who has not given us as prey to their teeth. Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped. Psalms 124:1-7 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 108TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORY
Indeed, if the LORD had not been on our side, the enemy would not have allowed us to get to where and what we are today.
Prayer is good and fasting is great, but if the LORD is not there both would not bless anyone. They will rather break anyone. Living a righteous life has a great reward in time and eternity, but if the LORD is not on our side, if He is not involved, you will regret living right. The presence of the LORD is the only thing that makes man’s worship worth offering.
Blessed be the LORD who has not left us! Blessed be the LORD who has not given us over the teeth of our enemies, even our own teeth. Yes, sometimes our teeth are the problems not the teeth of the enemy. But God’s mercies has a way of not allowing us to be given over to even our own teeth.
Yes, it has a way of not allowing the snares of the enemy to keep us bound. It breaks the snare for us to escape.
One of the major snares people usually enter is the snare of wrong relationships. The Bible clearly teaches that a wise man chose his friends carefully. The primary reason is to avoid this snare. David had to interrogate some who decided to join him in battle against Saul until the Spirit of God confirmed He brought them into his life before he accepted them in.
Sometimes, what kill great men is not demons, but people they should not have brought into their lives. Great men of God like Samson were ensnared by a relationship they confided in without knowing they had ties with those who wanted them dead. God calls for separation so that the enemy will not use people to destroy us.
YOU SEE ALL THAT IN HIS DEALINGS WITH ISRAEL.
He had said to Isreal.
“Nor shall you make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to their son, nor take their daughter for your son. For they will turn your sons away from following Me, to serve other gods; so, the anger of the Lord will be aroused against you and destroy you suddenly.”
“But thus, you shall deal with them: you shall destroy their altars, and break down their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images, and burn their carved images with fire.”
“For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. Deuteronomy 7:3-7 NKJV
This is a major call for separation. But the first time I read this scripture I thought God was segregating. I thought He was unloving to a heathen nation. I thought the God who is love now “hates.” But I would later grow up to find out that our God who is full of Love do not love everything we do with our lives hence separates those who defile themselves with sin and the satanic from those who do not.
When He make up His mind to set any people apart for Himself and conceived a redemptive plan to use them to execute, He will not want the people messing around with anyone who is having any kind of affinity with the satanic or the sinful.
He will not want them to get hooked up to relationships that has strong ties with sin, Satan or the corrupt world. His principles of consecration will be implemented. One of it says, “Consecrated people do not hook themselves up with desecrated people, else the loose their consecration.” That is how God’s holy seeds are protected from Satan’s ungodly seeds.
Do not forget, we are in warfare and it is a spiritual war that involves the battle of seeds. Understand that the decision to be Born-again is a decision to become God’s Holy Seed on the face of the earth.
IN THIS ORDER, NO SEED OF GOD JOINS HIMSELF OR HERSELF TO A SEED OF SATAN IN ANY WAY. THE EARLY CHURCH NEVER HAD ONE.
What the early church had were people who married as unbelievers, then one got saved and it became a mixed marriage.
They never had a case where a saved and sanctified person went after an unbeliever or accepted the hand of an unbeliever in marriage. That was how they watched over their souls and made sure the enemy did not ensnare them through a marital relationship.
Believers did not wake up to join themselves with unbelievers and called it marriage; like we do today. It never happened. That was why there was no marital crisis or divorce case among them. Sadly, the perverted gospel of grace has deleted this standard and aspect of holiness in our Church generation, giving birth to terrible things in the lives of God’s people.
Anyone who now joins the Church after reciting the sinner’s prayer with or without encounter with God is considered saved. Making it possible for seeds of Satan to camouflage among us, ensnare us and do the bidding of the devil unhindered through alliances and unions.
Many no longer know that when we become genuinely born again by encounter with God, we are automatically transformed into a Holy People. The transformation implies that we live our lives separate from anyone, people, alliance or unions that are not truly united with God. It calls for contact (with them) without contamination, and interface without intercourse.
Sadly, the reverse is the case today. Everyone is considered born again. The ignorant, unsaved and sometimes arrogant are called “weak.” When you are not careful, they ensnare you in the very sins they are living in.
THIS IS HOW BELIEVERS AND EVEN PREACHERS ARE DESECRATED.
It seems to me that some of these people are not weak in faith but wicked in faith. Friend there is a line that separates those who are “weak in faith” from those who are “wicked in the faith” claiming to be weak in faith. They are wicked in the faith and should not be nurtured in the faith, because no good farmer nurture weeds.
All good farmers nurture seeds and separate them from weeds.
In Bible days good stewards of the manifold grace of God like Paul put such members away from the Church and asked that they be treated like the unbelievers that they are. There were times when he even wrote that they hand them over to Satan so that they can learn how not to blaspheme. That was an apostle of Grace speaking Sir.
Friend, no good steward of God’s grace nurture weeds.
They treated the wicked who camouflage as weak brethren, basically to plant themselves for the destruction of the move of God as such and never allowed any to take root. These are standards of separation that have been forgotten in our Church generation, hence bringing untold Satanic activities to church.
Sadly, covens of witches and wizards now exist in the Church.
Thrones of Satan now sit enthroned in the worship of many assemblies of God’s as the throne of God. There is so much that we cannot state here. All these things are happening because we forgot and buried the standard of separation that sustained God’s power and glory in the early Church. The Bible says:
“For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.”
Knowing your identity in the spirit is a blessing. This verse called all of us who have been begotten of God “a holy people to the LORD our God.” If your salvation encounter was genuine, it’s important that you take this scripture seriously. Else you will grow from a Child of God to a son of hell.
The Bible says you are chosen to be part of a people for God, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.
That is why you must be separated. You must be separate at least, to preserve this position in Christ Jesus. You must walk with eagles and not vultures. You must not make goats your best friends while you are a sheep. You must look for fellow sheep that hears the voice of the master and flock with. That is the only way to protect yourself from the spiritual pollution at this end time.
