THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (Thursday 28th October 2021)

“My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise. Awake, my glory! Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn.” Psalm 57:7-8 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 301ST DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS.

We have indeed seen great things that has given us height in the Spirit these 301 days. To our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, belong the glory.

God’s word certainly does not fail. No force in Heaven or on earth can make it fail. The reason for that is simple. Every word of God has an inbuilt performance power buried in it. It has capacity to fulfill itself. That is why you save a lot of energy if you choose to sail on the wings of God’s word.

He Himself declared;

“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,

So shall my word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:10-11 NKJV

When the word of the LORD leaves His throne room to our hearts, the first thing it does is to water it. It waters our hearts with the presence of God it comes with. If our hearts are humble and contrite, the moisture of God’s presence the word came with will rest on it, and then make the word to bring forth and bud in our spirits.

When it buds in our spirit, it will produce in our lives as seed to the sower and bread to the eater. In other words, it will perform the hidden intent for sending that word into our lives; that is how God brings His word to pass in our lives.

It is important to note that creation itself is sustained by the word of God’s power. If therefore we want to be sustained by GOD’s power, it is important that we do not take His word for granted! We must obey it and allow its ability to speak in our lives.

The word of the LORD has an inherent energy to release its performance into our lives. But that only happens if we do not take it for granted.

IN FACT, THE WORD OF THE LORD IS FOR OUR HEARTS.

God designed it to be the secret of amazing strength in the lives of His Kingdom citizens. It has capacity to take us from sin to righteousness, from sickness to health, from fear to faith, and from spiritual blindness to spiritual sight. It has all it takes to create and recreate, build and plant, defend and distinguish and etc.

If you want your world to be better than it is now, go for the word of the LORD for your life. It holds the foundation of everything. That is why nothing good happens for too long if the word is absent from people lives or hearts.

For instance, If the word of the LORD is absent from what made people to come together to get married, that marriage will be gone in just a matter of time.

If it is absent in an economic life, that life will not stand. That’s why no matter how rich you are if GOD’s word is not at the center of it all, you are poor in disguise.

Without the word of GOD in a man’s life, He is a life accident waiting to happen. It will not be long his world will begin to fall apart. That is how essential and POWERFUL the word of the LORD is!

If you put a man who is sold out to the word in an Island, and give him sufficient time, he will fill it with things that never existed there before, through the power of GOD’s word. The word of the LORD in a man’s life has a way of creating things out of nothing. It is the tool for outsourcing Heaven to the earth.

If it is not in our hearts and mouths, we will pay dearly for its absence in the day of trouble. There will be nothing flowing out of our spirits to stop the enemy.

The word has what it takes to discern the thoughts and intents of men’s hearts to do God’s blessed will. That is why you must speak GOD’s living word into men’s heart if you want them to do GOD’s will.

The Bible says,

“For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 AMP

THE LIVING WORD OF GOD TRULY HAS WHAT IT TAKES TO EXPOSE, SIFT, ANALYZE AND JUDGE THE VERY THOUGHTS AND PURPOSES OF A MAN’S HEART.

We can also see clearly that the word of the LORD does not just take care of the spiritual, it also takes care of the natural. The Bible says;

“it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature],”

If you want God to work on you, so He can work through you, then go for His word. His word contains the inherent power and revelation that can be of great help to you.

Our devotional text today is one of the statements to have ever proceeded from the mouth of God through His Holy apostle – Paul. From the text, you will understand that one of the major things God wants us to keep filling our days with is good deeds.

In other word, He wants us to spend our days putting smiles on the faces of our fellow humans.

God wants us to spend our days making the world a bit easier for those He allow to cross our path. That is one of the things God does not want us to grow weary doing.

The Bible is actually full of things GOD WANTS us to grow weary doing, and things He does NOT want us to grow weary doing. He wants us to grow weary doing evil, but not grow weary doing good!

Everything we do that fills a man’s life with an absence of God’s manifest presence or sends the Holy Spirit far from him, is one of those things that Heaven wants us to grow weary doing. In fact, God wants us to grow weary doing things that leaves our lives vulnerable to the evil one.

HE WANTS US TO BE USEFUL IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS ACCORDING TO HIS PLANS FOR OUR LIVES.

Sadly, many do not know that being useful to people around us is very important in life. You will fill your life with darkness if you are not useful to people GOD placed in your life. You must understand that God wants us to be assets, and not liabilities. He wants us to be valuable to others not a pain on their neck.

The difference between poverty and prosperity lies in a man’s value to his fellow men and to God. If your life is adding value to God’s plans and purposes and to those around you, your prosperity will not be a matter of if but a matter of when.

Our devotional scripture today says “you will reap if you faint not.” However, its important to note that you will not reap if you are adding value to the wrong people.

In fact, adding value to the wrong people will make you reap sorrow.

As you begin a fresh day today, decide to be useful to God and to the right people He has placed in your life. Do not allow the wrong people make you faint or loose heart, because if you add value to the wrong people, they will return terrible things back to you, making you hate the principle of adding value to others.

Make up your mind to add value; spiritual or natural, to the life of everyone you come across; from your spouse to your kids, to your pastor, to your Church, to your nation, to your neighbors, to those you know and those you may not know. Let no one who touch you go back the same. Let something positive be left in their lives.

Extensively, make up your mind to be leaving a deposit of value in the lives of those GOD will make to cross your path the rest of your life. It could be a smile, a word of kindness or encouragement. It could be an appreciation. It could be a moment of prayer or preaching. It could be a financial assistance; Declare the rest of your life to be a season of adding value to all the right people around you, and you will experience a great leap in life.

You can begin this great journey today by doing something that will make someone have a reason to live. Do one of the major things Job did in his days; and continue on that lane until you become great like him.

Job lived a life that added value to others, and became the greatest and riches in all the east. I believe that was one reason why God did not allow his trial to consume him.

Heaven gave him double for His trouble because Heaven preserve the valuable who live their lives with God’s word at the center

I believe the message of today has been passed.

LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR YOU TODAY.

When the ear heard, then it blessed me, and when the eye saw, then it approved me;

Because I delivered the poor who cried out, the fatherless and the one who had no helper. The blessing of a perishing man came upon me, and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy. Job 29:11-13 NKJV
