TODAY’S DEVOTION (MONDAY 12TH FEBRUARY 2024)
“Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops.”
“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.”
“But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:27-31 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 43RD DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.
This is the day the LORD has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it.
Indeed, the steadfast love of our GOD never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness. I believe that is why we sleep and wake up every morning.
It has been a season of refreshing for us on this platform. This time, the refreshing of the LORD is coming to us in the area of the release of divine destiny.
A life that is divine destiny-driven, is like the boat Jesus rode in, on the sea of Galilee. Even if the storms come against it, there will be calm at the end; because the LORD whose paths they are following and whose will they are doing, will wake up and speak peace to the storm.
Sometimes, He will do it without them even knowing it, other times He will do it after they have prayed and asked Him for help.
No force on earth or from hell can sink a life that is driven by its divine destiny. Men like Paul who stepped into destiny shortly after their encounter with the LORD, can attest to that. The Bible says hell moved against him more than all the rest of the apostles, yet his bow remained strong in battle.
The LORD is refreshing our minds on matters of divine destiny, to make us men and women, whose lives are driven by the totality of His plans and purposes for our lives. In the world we live in, it is very easy to be distracted and forget why you were born into God’s kingdom.
If matters of destiny are not shared from time to time, we are bound to be lost in the wild of an earthly life. Our walk with God will lose its Heavenly fragrance and become an empty religion.
We have been sharing truths about what our divine destinies will need to be fulfilled. We have seen several truths. Today we shall see some other truths.
THE GREATEST VISION OF GOD FOR OUR LIVES IS THAT WE FULFILL OUR DIVINE DESTINIES.
His vision is that we spend each day unveiling or pursuing why we were born; the things He scheduled our days for. A life that is not fulfilling what it was born here to do, is a wasted life. Sadly, many are not, and it’s because of several factors. One of them is lack of divine protection.
There are many people who are very vulnerable in either the spirit or natural realm. They are surrounded by dark forces that will not let them become what God has created them to be on earth.
They do not enjoy divine protection hence some even die as soon as they are born. Those who do not die as soon as they are born, get their lives cut short in their prime.
Some others get too sick, oppressed by the devil, or caged by hell to fulfill their destiny. The graveyard is full of divine destinies that were not fulfilled because they never had divine protection to be fulfilled.
Our hospitals are full of people who are on their way out of this world without fulfilling their divine destinies because they lack divine protection or interventions in their lives.
Friend, you must seek divine protection from the LORD because our world is very unsaved for those who are not divinely protected. The Bible says the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one; making divine protection a major requirement for the release of divine destinies.
Yes, your divine destiny will need divine protection to be fulfilled. You find this truth expressed all through the Holy Bible.
If divine protection is not added to your divine destiny, you may have all other things right, but you will not live long enough to unleash your destiny. It is divine protection that keeps a man or woman of destiny long enough to finish God’s will for his or her life.
The life of David comes to mind here. His life was full of divine protection and divine interventions.
For instance, if God had not protected Him from the lion and the bear that he went after to recover the sheep they came to steal, kill or destroy, he would have been killed by either of them. The beasts would have killed both David and the sheep he was shepherding, but divine protection did not let that happen.
Then came his battle with both Goliath and later King Saul.
YOU FIND GOD PROTECTING HIM FROM THE GIANT AND THE KING, IN DIFFERENT TIMES OF HIS LIFE.
If God raise you to take down giants and Kings, he has to protect you from their swords for you to be able to take them down.
David was protected from King Saul and all the king stirred up against him until King Saul and his forces were wiped away. He was also protected from the giant until he killed the giant.
God would have to protect you from what you were born to kill so that you can kill it. That was the story of David.
Even in other battles that he fought as King over Israel, God made sure he was not battle wearied, and his enemies did not prevail against him. In fact, he got a prophetic insurance against all enemies and swords of battles long before he ever faced them.
Prophetic insurance is one of the seven triggers of divine protection.
The same can be seen in the life of Paul the apostle; He went through so much that ordinarily he should have died in few months after accepting Christ. But God kept him. You will need the same protection today to fulfill what God has called you to do on earth.
The Bible says the first year Paul opened his mouth to preach as Saul, the Jews stoned him until he passed out.
“Then Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there; and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead.”
“However, when the disciples gathered around him, he rose up and went into the city. And the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.” Acts 14:19-20 NKJV
From this passage of the scripture, it is clear that if our lives lack divine protection and interventions, we will never fulfill our destiny. Sometimes we face unprovoked attacks from people and devils. If we are not protected, we will be gone in minutes.
It is not ordinary for a man to be stoned and left for dead, and then rise to go back into the same City to continue what he was doing before the stones came. It takes divine protection to be so treated and still have the life in you to travel to another city without being admitted in the Hospital for recovery.
FRIEND, IF GOD HAD NOT DIVINELY PROTECTED PAUL AND THE REST OF THE APOSTLE AND DISCIPLES, I DO NOT THINK THE GOSPEL WOULD HAVE GOTTEN TO US.
The dragon really tried to devour them but God protected them. Your divine destiny will need same protection from GOD to be fulfilled. Understand that, when God gives you a destiny to pursue, He would have to assign angels to protect always encircle you else you will be wasted by the enemy.
The beauty is, God is faithful to us, and can protect His own from even their own swords. That is why there can be no successful enemy or friendly fire in the camp of people of divine destiny whenever they are enjoying divine protection.
If you see yourself causing ripples in the camp of the enemy because you are doing a Holy Ghost empowered service in the kingdom, do not fear what may happen to you. You are heavily protected.
The same Spirit that is empowering you to do those things is also protecting you at the same time from any harm that will come from doing those things. That is why you read Jesus telling us;
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19 NKJV
If the Holy Ghost uses you to trample on serpents and scorpions, or step on toes that are destroying God’s work, He will make sure that nothing by any means hurt you thereafter.
The Holy Ghost does not empower a man to do a thing then abandons Him when the repercussions come from hell. He is not a man that abandons his partner when the heat becomes hot! He sticks to His human partners to protect them from the backlash of the enemy after using them to do a work for God.
THAT IS WHY A MAJOR HIGHLIGHT IN OUR DEVOTIONAL TEXT THIS MORNING SAYS;
Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.”
Fear will cripple the hand of the LORD and hinder us from experiencing God’s protection over our lives. But faith will launch us into the realm of glory where God’s protection exists!
That is why the Holy Ghost always tells His human partners, “fear not, for I am with you. Do not be afraid for I am your God.”
God said through Isaiah;
“Do not say, ‘A conspiracy,’ concerning all that this people call a conspiracy, nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. The Lord of hosts, Him you shall hallow; Let Him be your fear, and let Him be your dread.”
“He will be as a sanctuary, but a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense to both the houses of Israel, as a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem” Isaiah 8:12-14 NKJV
What is the message of our devotional this morning? The message is simple. Your divine destiny will need divine protection to be unleashed. That is the message.
It will not need human protection, except a human protection built around you by the LORD!
Fix your eart therefore, on His word of protection over your life, as you go about doing the things He has called or assigned you to do. Even if you are in the midst of charging bears and roaring lions, have faith that God’s protection will keep you beyond their reach! AMEN!!
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR TODAY;
“Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.” Genesis 28:15 NKJV
