WELCOME TO THE 148TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.
Glory to the LORD God almighty for giving us another beautiful day from the bowels of His mercy!
The goodness of God is beyond description and His faithfulness is ever new. We are beneficiaries of God’s goodness and mercies. People who benefit that way cannot be easily consumed by the enemy.
When you write them off, God’s mercy will cancel whatever you wrote by setting them on their feet.
God’s mercies are the greatest overruling powers in creation. They can overrule a curse spoken against anyone, they can overrule a disease sent to kill anyone. They can overrule anything to establish God’s will for our lives.
Yes, they can overrule our lack and bring to us abundance in place, they can overrule our laziness and bless us with a job urging us to wake up in life. They can overrule our not being Educated and give us an effective means of income.
They can overrule our lack of exposure and bring us the blessings that only come to those who are exposed. They can overrule who we are and give us what we need despite not being qualified for it.
They can overrule evil sentences spoken over our lives. We see that all through the Holy Scriptures.
For instance, when Balaam stood over Israel to issue evil sentences against them, God’s mercies overruled him. He put a blessing on them instead of a curse. That is the power of God’s mercies. They can overrule anyone, anywhere, and at any time. No matter who they are and what they are.
If we know how to secure them in prayers, they can overrule the enemies of the LORD that comes up against us, no matter the spiritual rights they might have against us.
THEY CAN OVERRULE ANY EVIL CONSPIRACY AND MAKE SURE IT COLLAPSE.
Yes, they can overrule any judgment set against us in any realm of human, demonic, or satanic existence. They overruled the judgment set against Daniel, and the very human law that was mischievously created to have him eaten by the lions in the lion’s den, never saw its result on his life.
They overruled them by making sure the lions did not eat him, and in replacement the people ended up in the same place. The Bible says, when they expected the lions to eat Daniel, God’s mercy on Daniel overruled and he came out well from the den.
Then when the people would have gone scot free because there was no law that would have punished them for their evil, God’s mercies overruled it and they ended up in the lion’s den, the very same place they had put Daniel.
God’s mercies on Daniel overruled the lacuna in their laws that would have allowed them to go unpunished because the Bible says, hand join hands, no sinner will go unpunished. They were punished for their evil deeds against Daniel, a man with God’s mercies upon his life.
It is the mercy of the LORD on someone that supervise the execution of scriptures like that on another. The mercies of the LORD on Daniel supervised the execution of that scripture and other scriptures on those who wanted him dead.
God’s mercies upon His life made sure he was saved from the conspiracy of those colleagues of his. Do not forget, they were all working in the same office, the king’s palace.
You find all these stories in the Book of Daniel chapter six.
You can take your time to read it, meditate on the works of God in it, so that you can build faith for any intervention you need from God, either in your family, work place, or place of residence. Yes, the entrance of the words in the story will doubtlessly position you for a divine visitation if you are in need of one.
From the story, we can learn not to live a life that lacks God’s mercy on it. Such a life will not be saved from the sword of its enemies. That is why we must not live a life that lack God’s mercies upon it.
MAYBE THE MOST POWERFUL PRAYER WE CAN PRAY IN A GIVEN CIRCUMSTANCES OF LIFE IS, “LORD, LET YOUR MERCY BE UPON ME.”
When We feel afraid and threaten, that is could be the best prayer to pray, and nothing else. If GOD’s mercies are upon us, it will make our lives a slippery ground for the enemy to sit on and oppress.
A lot of mess might be in your life, but if God’s mercy is upon you, in a matter of time, your mess will be wiped away.
In a world driven by the love of money, I want to submit to us that having the mercies of the LORD upon our lives, is greater than having money in our pockets.
How much money do you think would have saved Daniel from the lion’s den? How much would have saved him from the attacks of those dark men in his place of work?
Friend, it is not safe to live a life that lacks God’s mercies upon it. It is much more securing and assuring to have God’s mercies upon your life, than to have all the money of this world in your pocket.
God’s mercy upon your life will overrules things that your money cannot overrule. It will make your life a slippery ground for evil to fester and prevail over you.
The Bible says money in your pocket or bank account can fail. It once failed in Egypt; But God’s mercies do not fail. That is why it is better to have them on your life than to have anything else.
Yes, if His mercies are upon you, they will be executing things in and around you and making sure the plans of the enemy against you, do not come to pass. You might be living in the midst of your enemies, but God’s mercy will be overruling all they plan against you.
Yes, God’s mercy will always overrule the enemy once it is upon your life. It is when it is not upon you that the enemy prevails against you. I urge you to go for God’s mercies in prayer whenever you are surrounded by things that are stronger than you.
Prayers is one way we secure God’s mercies. So, in prayer or fasting, ask that they be upon you! Daniel had them on his life because he was a prayer person. If you become a prayer person, God’s mercies will never depart from your life.
The reason is because prayer takes you to the Throne of Grace where you obtain mercy to find grace in time of need. So, let’s all become prayer persons like Daniel, so that we can begin to enjoy the most of God’s mercy.
LET US ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT PEOPLE WHO KNOW HOW TO KNEEL BEFORE GOD WILL ALWAYS HAVE HIS MERCIES UPON THEIR LIVES.
God’s mercies upon our lives is all we need in life, nothing else. It will make every other thing available.
Therefore, let us not forget that if God’s mercies are upon our lives, any tongue that may be rising against us in judgment, malice, vengeance, or bitterness, can be overruled. Yes, the expectation of the wicked against our lives will be failing.
The Bible says the expectations of the wicked shall be cut off. We will be saved despite the enemy, if God’s mercies are upon our lives. Its overruling power will be felt even in the camp of our enemies every day!
I believe the message of today has been passed.
Go for God’s mercies, always ask it to be upon your life. It is its overruling power that even qualified us for redemption. It qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. The Bible says;
“Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.” Colossians 1:12 NKJV
Outside God’s amazing mercies, none of us qualify to even be alive, healthy, or succeed. Our sinful and bad decisions have disqualified us completely. But whenever life disqualifies us from anything, and God’s mercy be upon our lives, it will come through, and overrule our disqualification.
It will overrule it and qualify us. By the blood of Jesus Christ, it has qualified for anything the enemy might have disqualified us from having in life, maybe because of our sinful deeds.
Yes, it has qualified us to get and stay married, despite what we might have done. It has qualified us to break from poverty and enjoy a rich life on earth, despite the accusations of the devil. It has qualified you to break free from any bondage despite its spiritual legal rights.
IT HAS QUALIFIED YOU TO BE WHAT GOD CREATED US TO BE. NOTHING ELSE CAN DISQUALIFIED.
Do you believe that? If you do, then you have nothing to worry. Just ask that God’s mercies be upon you, and overrule any plans, programs, attack, or activities of the kingdom of darkness in your life. Trust in the LORD to answer you!
Our devotional text says;

Oh yes, He is. You can now understand why the Bible teaches that those who wait on God’s mercies cannot be put to shame. Those who hope or trust in it are like Mount Zion that cannot be shaken. God will surround them with songs of deliverance.
He will rejoice over them with singing.
No matter the hellish situation they might be facing in life, God will not leave them there. His mercies will cause them to be vomited out of it’s belly like the fish vomited Jonah out of its belly. He will not let them see corruption or permanent defeat.
So, become part of that generation today, by making a decision to be spending your days asking that God’s mercy be upon you each day. Amen!!
