TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Thursday 20th May 2021)
“Your people shall be volunteers in the day of your power; in the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your youth.” Psalms 110:3 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 140TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS!
This is the day the LORD has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it. His mercies are new every morning, that is why we are well this morning.
It does not matter how you woke up this morning or what you may have done with your life, God’s plans for you remains good and not evil. Things only become evil in our lives when we depart from His ways, and nothing will change for the better until we return back to His ways.
The good plans of the LORD for our lives can only fulfilled when we follow His ways.
That is why the best thing to be school in so long as life on this die of eternity is concerned, is to be school in God’s ways. Believer who are schooled in His acts will always grow from children of God to sons of hell; they will start their journey from Egypt but will never get to Canaan.
Egypt represents a life of sin; Canaan represents life with Christ in Heaven. Satan’s ultimate desire is to make sure we do not make it to Heaven, even if we depart from Egypt, a life of sin.
That is why He may not oppose you being schooled in the acts of God if it will keep you from knowing His ways. Ignorance of God’s ways is the reason for the miseries in your life. Satan will prefer us staying that way so that He will keep filling our lives with miseries.
For instance, the Bible made it clear that Holiness is one of God’s way. People who know this and walk in true (and not religious) Holiness enjoy rest from miseries.
That is why it does not matter how beautiful a woman may look before men, if she is not living a holy life, she is ugly in God’s sight. Also, it does not matter how handsome and enchanting a man may look, if he is filthy, impure and sinful, he is ugly in God’s sight.
HOLINESS IS GOD’S DEFINITION OF BEAUTY. EVERY CHILD OF GOD MUST UNDERSTAND THAT AND COME TO TERMS WITH IT!
There is nothing as beautiful as God’s holiness in God’s kingdom.
A woman may be looking Old and ugly but when God beautify her with His holiness, you will begin to find it difficult to tell how old she is because she will become younger than her age. The same can be applicable to a man.
I hear prophets telling people to sow seeds to renew their age and they sow; the level of ignorance and exploitation of the saints that is going on in the body of Christ these days is alarming.
Age renewal is only possible when God beautifies you with His holiness. That is why even 50-year-Old women gets married and gives birth to Children. At least I have been used of God to see that happen in the life of one. She did not give me any money. Her faith and personal consecration unlocked it for her.
God want to beautify the saints with the beauty of His holiness.
The beauty of God’s holiness does not just renew our age, it renews our health and keeps us healthy. That is why sin was presented as the root cause of sicknesses and diseases in James chapter 5:14-16.
It may interest you to know that God’s Holiness was the garment Adam wore in the Garden of Eden.
It was the same garment Eve wore. Satan was so jealous of their attire that he swayed them to do something that stripped them of it; he swayed them to start walking in disobedience and eventual loss of intimacy with God.
The Bible made it clear that when he was through with them, God’s first couple on the face of the earth became naked and hid in trees, covering themselves with leaves.
Their experience teaches us that if we are not clothed with God’s holiness, we will be naked in the spirit realm or putting up filthy rags, and that will be reflecting in our dreams.
If you are naked in the spirit, you will become vulnerable to all evil – your life will begin to move from demonic attack to demonic attack, until you are no more. The ugly and the bad will become your companion.
PEOPLE WHO ARE NAKED IN THE SPIRIT ARE WITHOUT COVERING IN THE SIGHT OF GOD.
Even if they submit to any preacher on earth as a covering, they will still be naked in the spirit.
That is why I tell Christians instead of rushing after spiritual coverings of spiritual fathers, get yourself covered with the garments of God’s Holiness first. In fact, get a spiritual father that will give you a prophetic garment of many colors in the spirit, which is not physical.
A garment of many colors is a lifestyle of holiness reflecting the many colors of Heaven on earth. Hallelujah! That is when the spiritual covering of the spiritual father will begin to speak in your life, because authentic spiritual covering will not speak in the lives of the sinful.
The beauties of God’s Holiness must cover you first before the covering of a spiritual father. That is why only those who have relationship with the Heavenly Father can find authentic spiritual fathers and enjoy God’s covering in their mantles.
What are we sharing this morning? Without the beauties of God’s Holiness, you are as ugly as the devil himself. You will always be in need of deliverance. That is why God spoke to us through Isaiah saying;
“Awake, awake! Put on your strength, O Zion; Put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city! For the uncircumcised and the unclean shall no longer come to you.” Isaiah 52:1 NKJV
If you do not want devils to make your life a dwelling place, you must awake and put on your beautiful garment from Heaven – the garment of the beauty of God’s holiness. The Bible made it clear in this scripture that for the uncircumcised and the unclean to cease coming to you, you must wake up in the Spirit and be beautified with the beauty of God’s Holiness.
You must depart from all forms of spiritual laziness and begin to pursue deep intimacy with Jesus Christ. Deep intimacy with GOD will beautify you with God’s Holiness, because God is the source of His Holiness. You cannot get it from anywhere else.
That is why, when God says to us, “Be Holy” He is actually calling us to come to Him and be imparted with his Holiness. He is calling us to become deeply intimate with Him.
But believers do not understand this; you just find us trying to walk away from sin when we hear “be holy” and falling back into sin. We do not realize that we are being called to come into God’s presence at a deeper level to collect Holiness from Him.
YOU CAN ONLY WALK AWAY FROM SIN AFTER GOD HAS IMPARTED YOU TO DO SO.
He will either use a season of instruction in righteousness or impartation sessions to do so. We only need to position for them.
Many serious minded believers do not know that Holiness does not really come from man, hence running to men for help. It comes from God. We all need to run to Him for help. I may teach you how to run to Him for help, but you must run to Him for help not to me for help.
The truth remains, no man can be Holy by his own strength. Holiness was designed to come from God to man. And the Only place to position for it to come is in the place of deep intimacy with Jesus Christ made possible by the drives and promptings of the Holy Spirit.
I consider messages that lack capacity to push people into deep intimacy with Jesus Christ in the mouth of preachers as one of the greatest curses believers of today are exposed to. People are praying but are not intimate with Christ. Consequently, the beauty of God’s holiness is not seen in their lives despite their prayers.
For so many, it does not even exist at all. It has disappeared from God’s books. But let God be true and all men liars. Holiness remains one of the high ways of our God for us to walk in.
By definition, Holiness is being set apart by God’s Holy Spirit for God. It involves being separated form sin, iniquity and trespass unto the LORD. It results in a right standing with God that brings His glory into our lives. That is why people who live in sin, iniquity or trespass live in Ichabod situations.
They live in situations where they lack God’s power and glory in their lives, leading to captivities that even prayer cannot turn around most times. Our devotional text says,
“Your people shall be volunteers in the day of your power; in the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your youth.”
One of the major things that proceeds from the beauty of Holiness is power from on high. The Bible says what is from above is above all. So, when we walk in power form on high, we enjoy uncommon dominion over all the works of the enemy on earth.
As we bring this to a close, I want you to understand that God hates seeing us naked and ugly in the spirit. He wants us clothed and made beautiful by His Holiness, but that will never happen until we come out of our religious shells and begin to pursue His presence through deep intimacy.
Sometimes people call religious isolation intimacy with God. They call, withdrawal to mountains and forests to pray having intimacy with God. Religious isolation has destroyed ore people than help them. A call to intimacy is not a call to religious isolation it is a call for spiritual dedication to God and His ways.
Time to shake ourselves from the dust of sin, spiritual laziness, and religion is now!
LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY;
Shake yourself from the dust, arise; Sit down, O Jerusalem! Loose yourself from the bonds of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion! Isaiah 52:2 NKJV
