TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Tuesday 27th July 2021)
“This was the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:23-24 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 208TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS!
God has just granted us mercy to step into a fresh day again. Today is part of the final days of set aside for life on earth hence part of the end times. We may have 200 more years to live or even more, but final days are final days.
From the day Jesus resurrected, Heaven have been calling our days or years final days or end of days!
The Bible says a day to God is like a thousand years to us! So, we are in God’s final days for the earth; finals days of His redemptive activities. Yes, finals days of His redemptive moves and plans. Final days of bringing the sin age to a permanent end. Final days of returning man back to Genesis 1 and 2.
Today and many years to come, if Christ tarries, is part of God’s final days!
Final days are very important days. That is what the generation of Noah never knew! If they had known they would not have perished with the flood! A generation that lives in final days is called a terminal generation. If you have been following God’s word on our lips, I guess you have heard that phrase a thousand times over.
The generation of Noah was a terminal generation. Ours is also a terminal generation. But like the generation of Noah never realized it so is ours. The generation of Noah did not spend its days as a people living in God’s final days. It spent its days as if life was for ever or life ends in death. That generation, like many in ours, did not know that real life begins after death and that it was in its final days.
People who live in final days are to spend their days differently.
Yes, differently. They are to spend it basically looking inward and considering things they will not consider under normal circumstances. There are certain things that were made a priority in previous days that they must cease making a priority in their days!
IF WHAT IS HAPPENING IS NOT RINGING A PROPHETIC BELL ABOUT THE END TIMES IN YOUR SPIRIT, THEN YOU ARE DEAD IN SPIRIT!
Ours has indeed become as it was in the days of Noah.
Friend if you look at the generation of Noah and what God called the man Noah to preach and to do, you will realize that final days are days of listening only to preachers of the Noah stock. God called Noah “preacher of Righteousness” meaning, final days are days of listening to preachers of righteousness only.
Yes, final days are not days of listening to preachers of evil altars, monitoring spirits, and all the nonsense. And the reason for that is simple; the ideal messages Heaven sends to the earth in final days are basically messages of Heaven worthiness nothing else, and they come through preachers of righteousness.
But our generation is gradually missing it like the generation of Noah did. We are pressing after prophets and prophetesses who just give us factual things cooked by mostly sorcery and divination. We are tuning our ears to preachers with no messages of Heaven worthiness. Jesus said,
“For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,
and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Matthew 24:38-40 NKJV
Like I have always said, these are the wrong days to live your Christians life in a state of not knowing.
That was the state the generation of Noah lived that was why they perish. If we live in a state of not knowing, we shall likewise perish. The Bible says their earthly desires and the carnal crave to satisfy them placed them in a state of not knowing. It says “and did not know until the flood came and took them all away.”
THESE ARE DAYS OF ASKING OURSELVES QUESTIONS OF ETERNAL RELEVANCE!
These are days of pursuing the knowledge of God in other not to live in a state of not knowing. The Bible says other forms of knowledge shall increase in our days making men to run to and fro like the Devil himself. And we can see that in the amount of knowledge being poured out through the social media and the internet alone.
Sadly, most of it has nothing with making mankind Heaven worthy!
The increase of any form of knowledge outside God cannot make any of us Heaven worthy. It rather defeats men’s desire for the true light having taking twilight as true light. It kills the prophetic desire to pursue the true knowledge of God and live in a state of knowing.
The greatest attack of the devil on People living in final days is seduction to be detached from ministers and ministries that will keep them in a state of knowing; a state of Heaven worthiness. Paul saw that it and prophesied that it will be the attack in final days. He wrote down these gracious words to Timothy, his son in faith, saying;
“I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:
Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” 2 Timothy 4:1-4 NKJV
We are right in the very time.
So many have fallen prey of the devil and have been detached from ministries and ministers of the gospel equipped with the word to keep them in a state of Heaven worthiness and a state of knowing.
Others are literally being kept attached to ministers and ministries that are not helping them at all so long as these seasons are concern.
THIS IS THE WRONG TIME TO LIVE IN A STATE OF HEAVEN UNWORTHINESS.
It is a wrong time to lead your life attached to preachers that talk about earthly success. This is the wrong time to lead an earthly-need-based Christian life. No one who leads a Heaven based Christian life fails even in a terminal generation. That was why Noah and his sons were the only ones who succeeded at the end of their own age.
He is the template of the kind of preacher to listen to in a terminal generation, and his Sons a template of the kind of Christianity to lead in a terminal generation.
Noah was a demonstration of God’s goodness to that generation that was set on the path of self-destruction. But because they did not know, they perished in the consequences of their sins. In warning us about the final days we live in and urging us to live in the prophetic knowledge of the season, Peter said this about the great man, Noah;
“For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;
and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly;” 2 Peter 2:4-5 NKJV
If you look at this scripture very well, you will see the kind of preacher to spend these critical seasons listening to – the Noah kind of preachers. In other words, preachers of righteousness who have intimate knowledge of God and the seasons we live in, and are involved in the ark building process in the Spirit.
They are the kind of preachers Heaven sends to the earth in terminal generations.
I believe there were other preachers other than Noah in his days; preachers without Heaven’s seal. Those who listened to them never made it. Only those who listened to Noah made it.
IF YOU WILL MAKE IT TO HEAVEN, DO NOT LISTEN TO A PREACHER WITHOUT THE NOAH SPIRIT IN OUR AGE.
Heaven’s approved preachers for our age are preachers with the Noah Spirit. The Noah Spirit is the working of the Holy Ghost in Noah that made him a preacher of righteousness in a terminal generation.
The Bible says;
“By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.” Hebrews 11:7 NKJV
That is what the Noah Spirit does. It moves a preacher to prepare his people to be saved from approaching global judgments. It makes eternal relevance on earth through Heaven worthiness the drive of ministry, hence saving the minister and those who listen to him.
Let me reiterate again that Heaven’s approved preacher for the Noah generation are not preachers of first born and fruits. Neither are they preachers of evil altars, evil foundations, Isaac offerings, sacrifice and all kinds of money-making gimmicks. But preachers of righteousness.
Sadly speaking, there are sincere seekers of God who will never make Heaven because of the preachers they are listening to. But I believe God wants them saved.
He sent this word this morning to show us the kind of preachers to make our spiritual fathers and mothers because of the seasons that are upon us! It’s my prayer that we take these devotional truths to heart and escape the snare of the devil this end time.
Our devotional text said
“This was the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Yes, the only way to rejoice and be glad in days that the LORD has made is to give the word of the LORD sent in those days the attention it deserves.
I believe we have found a special grace from God this morning like Noah did. Respond to it adequately and reap the benefits of proper response.
May this day bring a fresh blessing your way as you pay attention to the Cry of the Spirit in today’s devotional!
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!
“Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.
So the LORD said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.” Genesis 6:5-8 NKJV
