TODAY’S DEVOTION (Thursday 3RD February 2022)
“The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?
I, the LORD, search the heart, test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings. Jeremiah 17:9-10 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 34TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF AMAZING GRACE
This is the day the LORD has made, we indeed shall rejoice and be glad in it. Hallelujah!
God has been good to us and our souls knows that well. He has not given us to the teeth of our enemies, nether has He dealt with us according to our unfaithfulness. He has been dealing with us according to His faithfulness. That is why we are alive, well and healthy!
The greatest Insurance on earth is to have God by your side. It does not matter who may be by your side, if God is not by your side, you are sidelined and alone in life so long as supernatural things are concerned.
It’s been our season of looking at matters of Righteous Prayers.
Prayer positions a man properly in the Spirit not to be sidelined and alone in life. It is one way to stir the very big God to be by your side and fight your battles.
But not all prayers do that, because like we saw yesterday there are prayers that brings the supernatural of the devil down to deceive people. There are also prayers that bring the supernatural of the evil one down to kill people and destroy the programs of God. Some of this kind of prayers are stopped by the LORD. He destroys them and turns them into blessings in the lives of His own. It is only in the lives of those who are not His own that such evil prayers work on.
Such prayers come as curses, spells, incantations and etc. they are made by witches, wizards, aggrieved people who may not even be witches or wizards, maybe prophets, pastors and fellow believers.
I listened to an audio where a prophet from Nigeria was cursing someone who exposed his sinful deeds to the public and said to myself, “none of these bitter curses will work if what you did is true. God is a just God. He has no resect for persons.”
If a shepherd sleep with sheep, the judgment of the Sons of Eli will come upon him if he did not repent but continue in wickedness. The first way it will come is by exposing the sins to the whole world. If he did not acknowledge and repent then other forms of judgment will come.
GOD HAS FOUR FORMS OF CORRECTIONAL JUDGMENTS FOR SUCH SPIRITUAL LEADERS.
When it gets to the point of exposure, He will use people who were once loving and loyal to lovingly and loyally expose our long-time secret sins (we preachers) for being rebellious and not repenting. If He is doing that and we resort to wicked prayers, we are being stupid and foolish. We should not forget that at that time they are His anointed, they are His prophets. And He said in His word “touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.”
Sometimes we preachers should come down from the-man-of-GOD-horse of pride, humble ourselves and be repentant Christians for once instead of issuing curses and stirring people to [ray against those who expose our long term life of secret sins, because we are first Christians before preachers. The Bible says;
“Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass, When the Lord has not commanded it? Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that woe and well-being proceed?
Why should a living man complain, A man for the punishment of his sins?” Lamentations 3:37-39 NKJV
Instead of complaining for God’s punishment for our sins, and cursing those He may be using to expose our long-term secrets sins, and issuing curses that will never work upon them, we should humble ourselves and repent before the LORD! Because a valid woe or blessing can only proceed from the mouth of GOD not from the mouth of an aggrieved ‘man of GOD’ riding high on the horse of his ecclesiastical pride.
A true prophet of GOD should not say someone will die because the person exposes their secret sins that they have been committing for a long time. A true prophet and Child of GOD should humble themselves and seek the LORD for mercies.
God promised that if we preachers mess up, and not give Him glory by doing our jobs well, He will make us contemptible, resulting in shame and reproach. He said He will curse our blessings. He also said He will spread excrete upon us, meaning create things that will result in terrible shame.
READ FOR YOURSELF – THIS IS DIRECTLY FROM THE LORD, THE JUDGE OF THE EARTH;
“And now, O priests, this commandment is for you. If you will not hear,
And if you will not take it to heart, To give glory to My name,” Says the LORD of hosts, “I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart.
“Behold, I will rebuke your descendants and spread refuse on your faces, the refuse of your solemn feasts; And one will take you away with it.
Then you shall know that I have sent this commandment to you, that My covenant with Levi may continue,” Says the LORD of hosts. Malachi 2:1-4 NKJV
I don’t think we preachers read this part of Malachi. We only read the part that says people should give us tithes and offering.
We were supposed to be consecrating GOD’s people not desecrating them. Our Job is to consecrate not to desecrate God’s people and lead them to live sinful lives. But most of us have failed, hence what you see happening.
The best response is not for anyone to pray against these people being used by GOD to expose us, but to bless them because praying against them will not make GOD kill them.
The Bible indeed said even if people lie against us, as many have lied against some of us, we should bless and not curse. I don’t really know where the Church got this cursing spirit from. I guess it came from the Baal many worships in the name of the lord.
No evil prayer or curse can work on anyone God may be using to do a thing in a wicked world. If they do work, then I would have died long ago. So many people have cursed and prayed against me, especially in Kenya.
So many false preachers and their members, whose money-making shops that they called churches GOD closed down or diminished by what He sent us to teach and scream into the ears and hearts of men and women across the dark church world, have prayed and prophesied against me.
Yes, some prophetesses who runs demonic shrines they call prayer movements and houses, have done a lot of evil fasting and prayers against me.
I have met even those who did dried fasting against me for days, weeks, months, and even years, but God took their prayers and turned them into blessings for me. The more they prayed against me, the more He blessed me. Wicked prayers cannot work on God’s own people.
RIGHTEOUS PRAYERS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH ISSUING CURSES AND SHOUTING THAT FIRE SHOULD CONSUME PEOPLE BECAUSE YOU ARE ANGRY.
In fact, in the school of Righteous prayer, once you notice that you are angry, you do not pray at all. You simply kneel in submission to the Spirit of the LORD, asking the LORD to wash and cleanse your heart of any trace of unrighteous anger. That brings us to our devotional text today. It says;
“The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? I, the LORD, search the heart, test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings. Jeremiah 17:9-10 NKJV
No righteous prayer can come from a wicked heart. If you want to operate in the faith and fire of Righteous prayers; a prayer life with capacity to make you a throne room Christian, the journey must begin from your heart.
God does not give us anything from Heaven according to our loud prayers, but according to our ways. Our ways are defined by our hearts. What kind of a heart do we have? Do we have wicked and desperate hearts or we have righteous and humble hearts?
Maybe tomorrow we look at the mystery of hearts in the school of righteous prayers. This 28-day journey of truth on Righteous Prayers will transform your prayer life.
Understand that if we do not begin from the heart realm, our prayers could turn out to be an abomination in the sight of GOD. It is the kind of heart a man or woman has that determined the kind of prayer that come out of their mouths. And it is the Kind of prayer that comes out of our mouth that determines if God will hear us or not.
It is therefore important to check the kind of heart you have and ask the LORD to work on it first, before lifting upon your voice in prayer. We see this pattern in the story of Elijah and the Prophets of Baal. When it was his turn to pray, He never prayed until the broken-down altar was repaired. The altar represents the heart. The Bible says;
Then Elijah said to all the people,
“Come near to me.” So all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down.” I kings 18:30 NKJV
IF THE HEART IS NOT RIGHT, THE PRAYER WILL NOT BE HEARD!
If what is broken is not fixed, what you are praying will not be heard in the Throne Room of God. Elijah knew that hence taking the first step to praying righteous prayers – putting our hearts in order before the LORD.
The Bible says if we hide iniquity in our hearts the LORD shall not hear us (Psalm 66:18). Sadly, many do not consider this because like the Pharisee in Luke chapter 18, their religious pride is saying to them “you are already saved, sanctified and made righteous.” They enter the place of prayer with an arrogance that leaves them with unanswered prayers.
But Elijah knew better. Despite his spiritual prowess he humbled himself and started from the basics, putting the heart right before God; repairing the broken-down altar.
A lot of demonic things happen when we pray to the LORD with hearts that are not right before God. We unlock things from the spirit realm of Satan whenever we pray with hearts that has iniquity in them. You must therefore, first have your heart fix by the LORD before lifting up your voice in prayer, asking Him to fix your life.
Also, I admonish that you stop attending prayer meetings or church groups with people whose hearts are not right before God else you will partake of divination or sorcery in the name of revelation and prophecy.
People do not know that whenever we are in prayer God does not search our lives to see what need to be done while we pray. The Bible says He already knows our needs. God search our hearts. Whenever we are in prayer, God searches our hearts to see if we are pure enough to have whatever we are asking Him for in prayers.
Yesterday we said whatever GOD cannot look at He ignores or destroys. If our hearts are wicked, God will ignore our prayers. If we keep praying without stopping to fix our hearts, the enemy will come in and begin to behave like GOD to us, and we will be deceived. We will come out with prophecies, visions, revelations and all kinds of spiritual experiences that are fleshy or demonic.
Personally, it’s not your title that determines if I will fellowship with you in prayer, but your heart. Like we stated yesterday, we must first hear from GOD to have our hearts purified before talking to Him. That is a major golden rule of righteous prayer.
A heart that will not first tune to GOD to be purified or set in order before lifting up its voice in prayers, will say prayers that GOD will not look at; prayers that are an abomination to the LORD. The Bible says,
“One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.” Proverbs 28:9 NKJV
We must first of all hear from God before speaking to God. We must sit down and receive sound truths that are capable of setting our hearts in order before lifting up our voices to GOD in prayer.
Yesterday, I promised showing you where it is in the Bible today. I have just shown you; that is the scripture. We will build on the truths in it tomorrow and the day after as we look at the mystery of hearts in the prayer room.
It is my prayer that God will use these words to build your prayer life up and give you an inheritance among they that are sanctified. Amen!
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!
Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come near to me.” So all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down. And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the LORD had come, saying, “Israel shall be your name.”
Then with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD; and he made a trench around the altar large enough to hold two seahs of seed. And he put the wood in order, cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood, and said, “Fill four waterpots with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice and on the wood.”
Then he said, “Do it a second time,” and they did it a second time; and he said, “Do it a third time,” and they did it a third time. So the water ran all around the altar; and he also filled the trench with water.
And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word.
Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that You are the LORD God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.”
Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The LORD, He is God! The LORD, He is God!” 1 Kings 18:30-39 NKJV
