TODAY’S DEVOTION (SUNDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER 2024)
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin:
He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Romans 8:1-6 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 259TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.
We bless the LORD our God for this day. Like David, we would say, “this is the day the LORD has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it.”
The word of the LORD was designed in eternity to stand guard over the different time lines that constitute our years on earth. It gives God’s angels what to do on our behalf during the year.
For 2025, God has said it will be our year of victory, COMMANDED VICTORIES. We believe the LORD’s angelic host have been given what to do in our lives. They have been doing what to perform in our lives.
We can only become men and women of kingdom value in a corrupt world, when the LORD performs His word in our lives.
Today we will be refreshing our minds on matters of vision; specifically, we will be looking at how to live a Heavenly vision driven life in a confused world. Yes, the only way to safe guard yourself in a confused world is to lead a Heavenly vision driven life.
A Heavenly vision driven life is actually a life that is lived according to God’s plans for it; a life that is lived in the Holy Spirit and by what the Holy Spirit is saying or seeing about it on earth. That was the very life our Bible fathers were structured to lead.
One major Bible truth today, that will enable us lead a Heavenly vision driven life, is what the Bible teaches as the laws of freedom in Christ.
FREEDOM IN CHRIST IS THE ONLY FREEDOM THAT IS MEANINGFUL IN A CONFUSED, DARK AND CHOATIC WORLD.
It will enable us align with any Heavenly vision and give us the grace to lead it without compromise. It is therefore important that we look at this law.
The Bible teaches that, when we are truly in Christ, it will be evident in a special set of freedom we will enjoy in time and eternity. The set of freedom is freedom from the penalty and practice of sin. The two kinds of freedom will eventually result in freedom from the presence of sin at our glorious exit from this life to our eternal home.
You see, in Christ, we are free from the curse of the law, the curse of sin, the curse of being born in an accursed family and every other curses of life. It is a beautiful freedom that many are yet to come into, hence still breaking curses.
Maybe let us look at matters of curses from our father’s houses and all that. It could add to our revelation as end time Christians.
To start with, understand that the Bible present the fallen Adamic nature as the source of all curses. It is the fathers house that spew curses into the lives of men and women. So, when we come into Christ, and become born of the Holy Spirit, we will be free from all that.
However, that freedom will only come, not when we recite the sinner’s prayer, join a church, or go from prayer mountain to prayer mountain praying. The freedom will come when we begin to live a Holy Spirit controlled life. It will come when we are no longer governed or controlled by our carnal minds or flesh.
That explains why so many pastors and church people, still struggle with curses. So many proclaim salvation, and become religious but do not forsake a flesh or canal nature-controlled life. Until a life is no longer controlled by the father’s house of the flesh, it will keep suffering the curses from that house.
A major part of our devotional text says;
“For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Romans 8:6 NKJV
Many do not know that the flesh is the only storehouse of curses in life, there is no other. The Bible teaches that to be flesh led or carnally minded is death, moral decay or a life full of cures. But to be Spiritually minded, or sanctified life controlled is life and peace.
THAT MAKES THE SPIRIT OF GOD THE ONLY STOREHOUSE OF BLESSINGS IN LIFE.
Yes, the Spirit of God is the only storehouse of God’s blessings on earth, not a man of God. Any man of God who present himself or herself as the storehouse of blessing is false. He is either a deceit, or a victim of deceit. That is why you see people pursuing those they call spiritual fathers for blessings, instead of pursuing the Holy Spirit.
We are in a different dispensation, and the quicker we understand that the better. Before the cross, it was men of God that functioned as the store houses of God’s blessing on earth, which was why if you do not align with men like Moses, Samuel, Elisha and etc. you will never be blessed.
They had the keys that controlled that realm.
But today, it is the Spirit of God that operates as the storehouse of God’s blessings on earth. Even the man of God has to walk with Him to be blessed by God’s definition of blessing. So, if you do not lead Holy Spirit controlled life, you will be struggling with curses from time to time.
I submit to you that wherever you find curses, spells, and every other thing evil people spew on others coming to pass, you will always find people who are walking in the flesh instead of the Spirit living in that place.
In other words, curses, spells, and the evil aggrieved people speak into the lives of others, manifest in the life of those they placed the curses, spells or evil on, if the people are walking in the flesh. Life in the spirit is the greatest spiritual insurance on earth.
If there is a generational curse sitting on a family, it is because that family is not walking in the Spirit. They are walking in the flesh, and off course all our families are full of people who do not know the LORD, come to talk of walking in the Spirit.
In other words, you will never permanently deliver any human being from curses or witchcraft, if the person is not having a relationship with Jesus Christ that is characterized by Holy Spirit controlled living.
IF WE ARE NOT SPIRIT CONTROLLED, WE WILL BE CUT OFF FROM THE STOREHOUSE OF GOD’S BLESSINGS ON EARTH.
So, to deliver people from generational curses, first get them genuinely saved and sanctified, and then train them to lead Spirit controlled sanctified and holy lives.
Yes, train them to live Christian lives that are not controlled by unholy desires, or a mind set on things that gratify the flesh. Bring them to the place of living lives that are controlled by the desires of the Holy Spirit, and righteous things that seek to gratify them.
Make them part of those who are shaped according to the Spirit and its desires not the flesh and its desires. The Amplified rendering (classic Edition) of a portion of our devotional text says;
“For those who are according to the flesh, and are controlled by its unholy desires, set their minds on and pursue those things which gratify the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit and are controlled by the desires of the Spirit set their minds on and seek those things which gratify the [Holy] Spirit.” Romans 8:5 AMPC
Friend, the Bible is clear. Please do not let anyone deceive you into sowing a seed or raising an altar to be delivered from curses and etc.
No one will ever be successfully free from curses if they do not cease from walking according to the flesh and its desires, and begin to walk according to the Spirit and His desires, especially after salvation. It is a major component of the law of freedom, a beautiful law that govern a Heavenly vision driven life.
When we cease from walking in the flesh, and begin to walk in the Spirit, every curse in our lives will be broken. That is the word of the LORD!!
I believe enough has been shared for the day. Let us come into life in the Spirit and stop playing religion and having curse breaking services that makes preachers smile to the back with all the curse breaking seeds.
Life in the Spirit will not just place the blessing that makes us a blessed people on earth on our lives, it will also help us live Heavenly vision-controlled lives. That is why you will never find any Heavenly Vision controlled life struggling with curses. Such a life does not exist in God’s kingdom.
You will only find them struggling on how to manage the blessings of God upon their lives. Amen and amen!!!
LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!
In [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]; stand fast then, and do not be hampered and held ensnared and submit again to a yoke of slavery [which you have once put off].
But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God). Galatians 5:1,16 AMPC
