DAY’S DEVOTION (MONDAY 11TH NOVEMBER 2024)
“If you faint in the day of adversity, Your strength is small. Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.
If you say, “Surely we did not know this,” Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds? Proverbs 24:10-12 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 316TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.
Glory be to the LORD GOD for a brand-new day. The mercies of the LORD are new every morning. His faithfulness is from everlasting to everlasting.
Our maiden school of the supernatural was amazing. I think I will continue teaching on the supernatural all through the month. The entire world seems to be in the belly of difficult times, but surviving difficult times is not by might, nor by power. It is by the Spirit of the living God.
The school was full of insightful truths on how to survive difficult times.
It was an 8 sessions school, with the last session full of the prophetic anointing and release of the supernatural in our lives. The glory of the LORD filled each session. I admonish you to order for the messages.
The Bible says how great is His goodness stored up for those who fear Him. There is no end to the compassion that comes to us each day. In fact, the day it ends will mark our end, because we are alive because of His unconditional love.
I remember the first day I read what God said when His glory swept pass Moses on mount Sinai, I was shocked at the depth of His love and compassion towards mankind that was revealed. God is never tired of showing even the worst sinner love and compassion. The Bible says
“Now the LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,
keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.” Exodus 34:5-7 NKJV
I have heard some winds of false doctrines developed from the last statement that said, “visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the Children,” called evil pattern and all that.
There are other winds of false doctrines that have been developed from same scriptures that have put lives in spiritual jeopardy and all that, making them think God is punishing them for the sins of their fathers.
THE PREACHERS WHO DO THIS, SEEMS NOT TO SEE THE BEAUTIFUL PORTION OF THE SAME SCRIPTURE, THAT PRESENTS HOW COMPASSIONATE AND KIND GOD IS.
They prefer twisting the word to fill the people with fear so that they can keep giving to them and following whatever they tell them to do. If you understand the compassion and kindness of the LORD in that scripture, you will not fall into the trap of the preachers of these false doctrines.
It says,
““The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin.”
You cannot have this kind of God by your side or in your life and worry about anything. He will fight your battles, forgive your sins, and make sure the enemy do not take advantage of you. All you have to do is to trust in His words.
Trust that He loves you and will never leave you in any pit of life as we saw in His word yesterday.
Today we will be refreshing our minds on matters of practical Christian living. One of the major assignments that is hanging on all believers is practical Christian living. Practical Christian living is all about transforming the lives of those who are touching us, and healing them of moral decay and etc.
If we say we are saved but people who are touching us, through interpersonal relationships, or the ones we are touching are not being made whole, morally, spiritually and etc., the way those who touched the LORD were, we are not releasing our corporate destiny as believers.
Concerning the LORD, the Bible says;
“Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. AND AS MANY AS TOUCHED HIM WERE MADE WELL.” Mark 6:53-56 NKJV (Emphasis mine).
The world is sick with an eternal illness that is making it morally bankrupt, God-less, Christ-less, and anti-Christ. Sadly, a major part of what we call Church is sick also with the same illnesses, hence raising believers who cannot heal the moral decay of those who relate with them or touch them.
Many are under the grip of eternal death, through the activities of hell that has stricken their souls and spirits, with the eternal illnesses mentioned above. God’s redemption plan for them, is that they touch us and be made whole.
HIS PLAN IS THAT THROUGH THE RELEASE OF OUR DESTINIES AS BELIEVERS, THEY CAN BE MADE WHOLE.
If they are made whole, they will become Heaven worthy, and save their souls from eternal damnation. God’s ultimate plan is that the world be saved from eternal damnation, and that we rise from religion and begin to live lives that will make that happen.
If you say you are saved, and those touching you are not being healed of the eternal illness generating moral decay in their lives, you are not fulfilling God’s plan for your life, you are not fulfilling your destiny.
You are not a practical Christian. Practical Christian living was what our fathers in the early church used, in saving their world and turning them to the LORD.
They showed us how to best save the dying world. They showed us how to deliver it from the shadow of death, hell and grave – the three gates of the enemy, by touching it with the Christ in us.
Sadly, for many of us, Christ is not yet in us. What is in us is religion.
Yes, religion is in many of us, hence lacking what can heal those who are touching us from the spiritual or eternal illnesses generating moral decay in them.
That is why despite Christians and churches being everywhere, the world is still slipping into hell daily, and the perverted church influencing those God has saved, not to become what God saved them to be, but what the preachers want them to be – money spinning machines.
The false doctrines from the perverted Church, make the hearts of those under them interested in God solving their earthly problems, and not interested in living lives that heal the moral decay of those who touch them.
But our devotional text made it clear that even if we are in the midst of adversity, our destiny of rescuing the eternally damned through practical Christian living must not change.
WE MUST NOT FAINT IN ADVERSITY AND MAKE OUR PROBLEMS THE MAIN THRUST OF WALKING WITH GOD.
We are to keep delivering the eternally damned, like our fathers did, even in fiery trials and adversities. But it will not be by might nor by power, but by supernatural living. The word says;
“If you faint in the day of adversity, Your strength is small. Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and old back those stumbling to the slaughter.
If you say, “Surely we did not know this,” Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds? Proverbs 24:10-12 NKJV
When Jesus was Physically on earth, He spent each day after 30 years of age, drawing those who are drawn to eternal death to the eternal life He brought. He did not feign ignorance like we do today, and that is what He has called us to do; to walk in His footsteps of changing those around us through practical Christianity.
The ultimate goal of Christ for making the initial 500 disciples His followers was to make them world changers; people who could influence the lost world back to God, by healing it of its spiritual or eternal diseases generating moral decay and all forms of darkness in their lives.
He lived a life that left an eternal impact on the souls of men. Then He looked at them, and prophetically at us, who now believe in Him, and said;
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it”. John 14:12-14 NKJV
Scriptures like this make me think if all of us who profess Christ have really believed in Him, because there is no such fruit in our faith.
Present day believers are not doing the works Jesus did, come to talk of greater works. Our faith is not producing the works He said those who believe in Him will do, meaning many of us have not really believed in Him.
WE STILL LACK THE KIND OF PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY THAT OUR FATHERS HAD.
Which is why we pray prayers that are not answered. Until we begin to do the works He did, and even greater in quantity than He did, we will never come to the place of grace that He described in these terms; “… whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it”
This place of grace is called the place of amazing divine attention, which if all of us have, none of us will be running after prophets for miracles or worshiping the so-called papas for miracles. We will all know how to produce them by our selves and change the world for the LORD.
The truth is, our not being practical in our Christianity, is hindering the release of the grace of divine attention upon us. In case you do not know what the grace looks like, lets consider the life of Joshua for a moment. The Bible said;
Then Joshua spoke to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel:
“Sun, stand still over Gibeon; And Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.” So the sun stood still, And the moon stopped, Till the people had revenge Upon their enemies.
Is this not written in the Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day.
And there has been no day like that, before it or after it, that the LORD heeded the voice of a man; for the LORD fought for Israel. Joshua 10:12-14 NKJV
You can see the grace of divine attention in manifestation here. It is the grace that brings you to the place where the LORD heeds your voice, and do whatever you say within the counsel of His will.
It was the grace that made the LORD to heed to the voice of Joshua that day. Before that day the LORD had not heeded the voice of any man so long as suspending the rotation of the earth was concerned.
THIS IS ONE MANIFESTATION OF GOD WE MISS WHEN WE DO NOT LIVE PRACTICAL CHRISTIAN LIVES.
Sadly, there are so many enemies of the cross among us preachers today, who are preventing the Church from coming to the fulness of the stature of Christ, so they can leave practical Christian lives. Consequently, people now pray for days, fast for weeks and do not see results that Joshua got even without fasting.
There is no grace of divine attention in so many lives, hence making them depend on some prayer warriors and preachers who display themselves as the great power of GOD for help.
These heretic pastors and false prophets are having a field day on the innocent. Conditioning their miracles on money or some deliverance rituals, plugging the people to the demon of deliverance.
They keep people in a state of needing them all the time, thereby stalling their faith, and making it impossible for them to live practical Christian lives.
As we bring this to a close, permit me to state this. There are two kinds of faith. There is faith with works of righteousness as fruits; which is the living Faith. And there is a faith without works, which is the dead faith. You find that in the book of James chapter two.
In the Kingdom of God, faith with works is what God approves, because we cannot be saved by the faith that lacks corresponding works of righteousness. We can only be saved by the faith that HAS corresponding works of righteousness.
The corresponding works of righteousness that should proceed from our faith, is the healing of the spiritual illnesses that are generating moral decay in the lives of those who touch us. That is the word of the LORD!!
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!
But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?
Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?
And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.
You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. James 2:18-24 NKJV
