TODAY’S DEVOTION (SATURDAY 25TH JANUARY 2025)
“But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves.”
“You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,” says the Lord of hosts.” Malachi 4:2-3 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 25TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY.
Glory be to the LORD GOD Almighty for giving us another end of week in 2025. We remain ever grateful for the blood in our veins and air in our lungs. Indeed, the Spirit of the LORD has made us, the breath of the almighty gives us life.
Day unto day we receive His mercies, night unto night we see His faithfulness, as it shines through our lives on our beds. How beautiful are His works, and glorious are His marvelous moves!!!
He has healed, He has delivered, He is now rejoicing over us with singing.
Gratitude to God for keeping one alive is as important as the air we breathe. A people who take being alive for granted, may eventually lose their lives. If we do not show gratitude, we will be sending a wrong signal to the throne of God.
One major secret of a peaceful year is gratitude to our maker. It is important that we acknowledge it and live our days this year showing gratitude to God, and one way we show gratitude, is with our lives.
We show gratitude to God with our lives by living right. When we do that, we find our lives perpetually under the power of Christ, our Sun of righteousness. Just as God wants our lives to be on daily bases. Yes, God wants our lives in 2025 and beyond to be perpetually under His power.
Maybe some examples in the solar system can be of help.
If you look at the solar system, you will discover that the sun does not depart from the moon, the earth, or any other planet. It does not really rise from the east and settle in the west. It is the earth’s rotation that make it appear so. The sun by God’s design, is in a fixed position. The goal is for it to give light to all.
The lesson there is this, just like the sun, Jesus Christ, our Sun of righteousness, is in a fixed position in the Spirit realm, with His light. The goal is for Him to permeate our lives with it. But if we keep losing spiritual position by living a life that is not right before God, we will lose the positioning that guarantees that His glorious light keeps shining in our lives.
Jesus has what we can call Supernatural SUN-POWER for all His Children on the face of the earth. It comes when we yield to the Holy Spirit and position. Don’t forget, when He was physically departing from the earth, He made this promise to us,
“LO, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, EVEN TO THE END OF THE AGE.” AMEN (MATTHEW 28:20 NKJV).
It is important that we look at the solar system again. Like we said earlier, it is the position that the moon, the earth, and other planets take around the sun that determines what light they get, or if they will get any light at all. That is why some planet are very hot and lit, while others are very cold and dark.
It’s all about positioning. Some are very far from the sun, hence cold and dark. Like these planets, your life will be cold and dark spiritually if you are too far from Jesus Christ this year.
One major thing you must fight for in 2025, is the fight of faith for proper positioning, so that the Christ Sun light can be shining on your life. If it happens, your life will never be spiritually cold and dark. The Bible says,
“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.
For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.” Isaiah 60:1-2 NKJV
Why will spiritual darkness cover earth, and gross darkness the people? The answer is in the planets that are cold and dark – the answer is in their distance and position around the only source of light they have, the sun. The earth and its people are far from Christ; they are not properly positioned around Him, hence covered by darkness and gross darkness. But that is not God’s will for anyone.
The glory of the LORD would have been risen upon them if they were. If you want the glory of the LORD to be kindling your life this year, it all lies in how far or close you will be to the LORD.
If you will be close and properly positioned, you will see the glory of the LORD, but if you will not be, you will not see. That is the truth. Let no one pour some oil on your head and collect some money from your hand saying the glory of the LORD will rise upon you in return. No, it won’t.
IF ANYONE DECEIVE YOU, PLEASE, DO NOT DECEIVE YOURSELF.
Let none lead you to raise an altar or do anything sacrificial saying you will see the glory of the LORD in return. It’s a scam, you will not. If you see anything, it will not be the glory of the LORD but the demon of deliverance.
The glory of the LORD in our lives is a product of how far or close we are to Christ. That is why the Bible says;
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:7-8 NKJV
I have come to realize that it is those who will not obey this scripture that are usually told to raise altars and see things change. They follow those dark practices because they are far from the LORD.
Most are not interested in purifying their lives and getting close to the LORD. They just want to get miracles without being close to the real miracle worker, Jesus Christ. Things do not walk that way. You will have darkness filling your life if you live that way. Our devotional text says;

The first thing you must understand in this text is the need for “proper faith positioning” in the Spirit. Like we shared earlier, God (Jesus Christ) is like the Sun. It is the position we take around Him that determines if we will have His presence in our lives to make things happen or not.
IF WE ARE NOT PROPERLY POSITIONED IN OUR FAITH, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RECEIVE ANYTHING FROM HIM AS THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.
For instance, our Holiness proceeds from Him. If we are not properly positioned in our faith, we will not be able to receive it; leading to a life of Sin, lawlessness and iniquity. If you are struggling with the gross darkness of sinful habits, all you need is this positioning.
If you are positioned properly, you will receive the energy from Him to break from the yoke. Yes, you will receive the energy to soar through 2025 in holiness and righteousness and enjoy the best the life of Christ has to offer. It will even kindle a prophetic spirit within our hearts and bring us to the place of knowing the future before it happens.
If you study the Bible, you will realize that all prophetic people were amazing because of how close they were to the LORD. Their lives tell us that if we are properly positioned in faith under God, we do not need prophets to prophesy to us.
We will be receiving accurate visions, revelation, prophetic foresight and insight into people’s lives, the circumstances that surrounds us, and etc.
People like Moses, Samuel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Elijah, Elisha, and the rest of the prophets who operated in divine accuracy gained such prophetic powers through proper positioning of their spirits in the Spirit of God. Their lives teach that if you want to operate accurately in the prophetic, you must locate the faith position to take around the Sun of righteousness in the Spirit, to do that.
In the same way, our health, a permanent freedom from hell and satanic yokes, our economic prosperity, our marriages, and all the blessings, miracles and divine visitations we need from Him; as the Sun of Righteousness, will not come until we locate the receiving faith position to take in the Spirit.
We must live lives that are very close to God and not trade them for anything. That is the word of the LORD.
Find a preacher whose ministries will help you to fear God enough to be close to Him. Do not allow anything to create a distance between you and God this year. The distance will make you vulnerable to darkness and devils will begin to parade your life.
Make this devotional your meditation for today and other days to come, and your life will never remain the same. Meditating on sent words like these and others in the Holy Bible, has a way of keeping our faith red hot.
