TODAY’S DEVOTION (Saturday 26TH September 2020)
“Yes, in the way of your judgments, O Lord, we have waited for You; the desire of our soul is for Your name and for the remembrance of You.
With my soul I have desired You in the night, Yes, by my spirit within me I will seek you early; For when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
Let grace be shown to the wicked, yet he will not learn righteousness; In the land of uprightness he will deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the Lord.” Isaiah 26:8-10 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 268TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF REJOICING
I bless the God of Heaven and earth for His great deeds and marvelous helps all through these days. If we were in the hands of the evil one, we would have been in graves today. Don’t forget the many things he has shoot into this year, the corona virus being the chief.
It pays to be in the hands of the LORD. It has a way of protecting you from being in the hands of the evil one.
There are interventions of God that are not possible until people find their place in God’s hands be begin to see with their spiritual eyes. For us in the Cry of the Spirit Ministries International, the eye opening and heart circumcising apostolic missions that we are carrying out, under the LORDSHIP of Christ in this region, is the reason for the miracles and blessings we are experiencing!
Before the lockdown, whenever people stand in our meetings to Testify of the great miracles God is doing among us, and during the lockdown when some send their great testimonies to us they all thank us then thank the LORD for bringing us to Kenya.
When I look at what the LORD may have done to cause the changes they now celebrate, I see just one thing. He used us to open their eyes, now they can walk in His favor and power!
Majority of us do not have many problems, we just have one problem, and that problem is spiritual blindness. That is why whenever the LORD take it away from us, we come into things that eyes have not seen, ears heard, nor hearts conceived. We see the outbreak of His power, Kingdom and glory in our lives.
Spiritual blindness is what has separated all from what the LORD has prepared for them. There is something someone is not seeing that is why he or she is suffering. There is something someone is not seeing, that is why they are following lying prophets or teachers.
There is something followers of scandalous preachers are not seeing, hence calling them men or women of God. When you see, you will change your perspective or language. Indeed, anyone who lacks spiritual sight will never lack terrible troubles, struggles or toiling.
IF YOUR LIFE IS FULL OF STRUGGLES, TOILING, ANY OF THE ILLS OF THIS WORLD, IT’S A SIGN THAT YOU ARE SPIRITUAL BLIND TO WHAT WILL STOP THE MESS AND CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
With the so many demonic backings we are seeing today in local Churches and the lives of the perverse, it’s important that we bring a word to the righteous who are not hook up to the demonic.
One of the major things making the righteous sad is the seeming success of what is false and not true but appears to be. When what is false and not true succeeds the Bible calls it the prosperity of the wicked. It will destroy!
God does not back falsehood or anything that is not His will. When you see Churches, ministers, marriages and etc. built on falsehood or anything that is not God’s true will succeeding, it is receiving demonic back up! It’s important that the true Sons of the Kingdom know that.
There are two kinds of backings we see on the face of the earth today – demonic backings and divine backings. So many in Church today are enjoying demonic backing and calling it divine, sadly it’s going to land them in hell.
God has sent this word on divine backing today so that we begin to seek it and divorce ourselves from the demonic. We have been sharing about God’s mercy of late. I want you to understand that there is the role of God’s mercy in unlocking divine backing. When God shows you Mercy in what you may be doing, you will begin to enjoy divine backing in it.
Now, it is important to note that, because divine backing is a blessing only for those who are true and are doing the will of God, God will never release His mercy to manifest as divine backing in our lives until we become true in our walk with Him and step into His will.
For instance, if a marriage was not built on truth and established within divine will, the couples will never see “GOD’s mercy” keeping them in perfect peace. Consequently, it will be full of unquenchable troubles and all kinds of wars. If an economic life is not governed by divine will and truth, it will be full of toiling all day or night. And if you finally get the money, something will always happen to eat it up away. I have heard people call that a curse.
YES, FINANCIAL CURSES EXIST. THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR POVERTY.
But we must also understand that if a man’s ways please the LORD, the curses on his life will be turned into blessings. I think the real curse in people’s lives is not the presence of the curse itself but the presence of spiritual blindness and the absence of divine backing!
The reason for toiling all day or night and yet not coming out well economically is simple – we are not living our economic lives in symphony with divine will and ways. Divine backing is the missing ingredient in the life of anyone suffering any form of economic hardship. It is the missing link in the life of anyone who may be having unanswered questions in life.
Sadly, most preachers blame these things on curses and evil foundations, consequently bringing people into the realm of demonic backing!
When the demonic back them for a season, it will begin to breeds worms in their lives and they begin to have more troubles after a while. They are blind to the things of God hence receiving the things of Satan from the preachers.
The real curse in anyone’s life is the not the presence of any curse in that life but the presence of spiritual blindness. Not just the presence of spiritual blindness but the absence of divine backing. Nothing else!
I have come to realize that your Christian-mouth may be full of prayers, positive confessions, and your hands full of giving, but your life will still be full of troubles if you are blind and if there is no divine backing in your life. That is why I teach that one must first secure divine backing and spiritual sight before even opening his mouth even in prayers or confession of faith.
Life will remain negative (in spite of being positive) if there is no spiritual sight or divine backing. And like we shared earlier, divine backing is a child of God’s Mercy released upon a life that is in symphony with divine will, truth and ways.
TALKING ABOUT DIVINE WILL AND WAYS, I REMEMBER DEDICATING AN ENTIRE MONTH ON THAT IN ONE OF OUR DEVOTIONALS.
God’s mercy cannot be released to back us in things that are not God’s will or done in God’s ways. God’s mercy does not manifest in lives that are doing things their own ways. The Church must understand that.
Because of His just nature, God does not release mercy on people who are doing things in their will or ways. That is why you cannot find Him pouring His mercy on the wicked. The only thing God does to the wicked is to ask them to repent, and if they do you will find Him releasing His great mercies and grace upon them.
The only act of mercy you see God pour on the wicked especially if the refuse to repent, is the restraining of His Spirit not to judge them and the release of His word to keep urging them to repent. He does not show them mercy by solving any problem in their lives that is rooted in personal wickedness.
For instance, here is a man or woman in something that is not established in God’s ways or will having troubles, but trusting God for mercy to solve the problems. The truth of the matter is God will never solve them. God will never do that even if those involve give the highest offering in Church, or do the longest fasting.
God is just by nature! He does and cannot justify the wicked. We must first repent of our evil ways before He move to turn our lives around. Returning back to God in repentance is the only way to put His great mercies to work in our lives. That is one lesson you can glean from the story of the prodigal son.
The young man did not remain in the land of his rebellion and sin when he needed mercy. He returned to the father before he secured mercy.
Many of us do not return yet we want GOD to have mercy on us. You find people in their pools of sin and sorrows crying unto God to have mercy and take away their sorrows. It does not work that way. They will never secure it. That is why the message of repentance is what all suffering sinners need to hear to be free from their sufferings. Not the enemy killing, curse breaking, or seed sowing gospel.
The Bible is very clear that until the sinner repents, he stands UNJUSTIFIED before GOD. Justification by faith is a child of repentance from dead works, not a child of reciting the sinner’s poem called “sinners prayer.”
WHAT IS THE MESSAGE OF OUR DEVOTIONAL THIS MORNING?
The message is simple. Life will be full of miseries if we do not have spiritual sight and divine backing. Divine backing is not always a child of prayers, fasting, or giving. It is a Child of GOD’s Mercy.
GOD’s great mercies are not a blessing Heaven places on everyone. They are a blessing Heaven releases on those who have repented of their sins.
In other words, God does not have mercy on the unrepentant. The Bible makes it clear that He is angry with them every day, not merciful on them!
I am yet to see a place in scriptures where God spoke kindly to the unrepentant or any of those who take delight in living in wicked ways. His just nature will never let that happen.
God is merciful but at the same time just! Truth and mercy must meet together for lives to experience divine backing. Repentance activates His mercifulness not to give us the judgment we deserve. Not repenting of our sins activates His just nature to give us what we deserve.
Sometimes, correctional judgments are released even while we are alive, because if His judgments are not on the earth, the inhabitants of the world will not learn righteousness!
That brings us to our devotional text this morning. A major highlight of it says,
“For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. Let grace be shown to the wicked, yet he will not learn righteousness; In the land of uprightness he will deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the Lord.”
It’s my prayer that GOD use this word to sustain you in your walk and talk with Him so that you will not be found following the counsel of the wicked, standing on the ways of sinners, or seating on the seat of the scornful. In Jesus precious name! AMEN!
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.
He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.
The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Psalms 1:1-6 NKJV
