TODAY’S DEVOTION (THURSDAY 16TH FEBRUARY 2023)
“If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?
And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.
Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.” Matthew 12:26-29 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 47TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS!
Blessed be the name of the LORD who has given us another day to be alive. Yes, we can fall asleep, but it takes His mercies for us to wake up from sleep. He has been our LORD and King. He has also been our mercy seat.
As our mercy seat, He made it possible for us to begin our Christian lives from the Most Holy Place, and be able to approach God at any time. Not just at any time, but in any state, and for whatever we need. He fully took the penalty of our sins as our mercy seat, so that sin will not have dominion over us.
Now, He is not only our mercy seat, He is also our redemption sacrifice and peace.
As our redemption sacrifice, His sacrificial death for us, speaks louder than any demonic sacrifice, that may be offered against us, in the realm of the dark supernatural. That is why we do not need to offer any other sacrifice, either to be free from anything, or to counter the sacrifice of anyone in the dark supernatural, as faulty deliverance ministers theorize.
Yes, we do not need to raise an altar of sacrifice any more like they did before the Cross. The cross of Jesus and all that happened at Calvary has become our altar of sacrifice.
IT NEUTRALIZES THE DARK SUPERNATURAL MORE THAN ANYTHING YOU MAY GIVE AS SACRIFICE.
That is why you strengthen the dark supernatural over your life, if you do not believe in, and align with the sacrifice Jesus offered for us on the cross, to make it impossible for the dark supernatural to have power over us.
If you abandon Him as your redemption sacrifice, and go offering other sacrifices to be free, you have rejected the righteousness of God for you, and strengthened the dark supernatural against you. The Bible says;
“For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.” Romans 10:3 KJV
The ignorance of God’s righteousness (the ignorance of the efficacy of His death on the Cross) among many today, is the reason the dark supernatural is still trapping many lives, despite all the deliverances that is being conducted in so many places. The devil knows the only thing that rendered him and his kingdom powerless is the finished works of Jesus on the Cross, not our own righteousness that only makes the preacher rich and famous.
You do not establish your own righteousness, offering sacrifices to counter the sacrifices of your enemies, and see the victory you are looking for. That is why many have done it and there is no total victory.
They keep doing it every year like the Jews offered animals yearly to atone for their sins, or every now and then, like Job offered for his children, yet no permanent rest from spiritual assaults. If Job was in our age and time, He will never do any of those things; he would never offer daily sacrifices for the probable sins of his Children.
If it really works, then you should have raised the altar of sacrifice only once in your life time, because Jesus was offered once and for all, and that took care of everything.
Yes, since you do not want Him in your life as your redemption sacrifice, and have decided to offer your own redemption sacrifice, it should have been once in a life time, if it is working. But because it is a scam, you have to do it over and over again.
The raising of altars of sacrifice in spiritual warfare is a system of the dark supernatural. You see that in the ministry of the dark prophet Balaam. Our fathers who raise altars before the cross, did that to depict the death of Jesus on the Cross as our redemption sacrifice.
THAT WAS WHY THE EARLY CHURCH NEVER RAISED ALTARS AGAIN.
When you raise an altar of sacrifice today, you are engaging the dark supernatural to help you fight the dark supernatural that may be the reason for raising the altar. You are attempting to ask Satan to cast out Satan. A major part of our devotional text says;
“If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?” Matthew 12:26 NKJV
Today is the 16th day of our 28-day journey of faith with the Cry of the Holy Spirit on supernatural living. The scriptural cry of the Holy Spirit in this part of our devotional text, made it clear that we can never succeed if we engage any system of the dark supernatural to neutralize the dark supernatural.
But there is more in our devotional text, about the dark supernatural. There is also something beautiful about the supernatural of God in the text. It is a text that is full of deep spiritual truths that are relevant to supernatural living. It is important that we uncover what we can on this beautiful journey of faith.
First of all, the text made it clear that the dark supernatural is controlled by the Kingdom of Satan, and that it can cast out demons too. It quoted Jesus as saying;
“And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.” Matthew 12:27 NKJV
The sons of the Pharisees that Jesus was referring to where Jewish deliverance ministers who were going about casting out demons from people before He came. People thought they were using the power of God, because history had it that they were using olive oil, and other religious contraptions to do it.
But when Jesus came, He made it clear that it was the dark supernatural they were using.
The name of the spirit in charge was given; He called it Beelzebub. That word means, the prince of demons. That is the demon of deliverance there. We cannot talk about the dark supernatural without touching this demon. It is responsible for deliverance in the kingdom of darkness. It is even in so many churches today. It is responsible for all deliverances today, where demons speak through people, and converse with the faulty deliverance minister.
BEFORE THE CROSS, YOU WILL NEED TO NEGOTIATE WITH DEMONS TO CAST THEM OUT OF PEOPLE.
That is why you find Christ talking to them as they responded, using the voices of those they possess. But after the cross, the system changed. Demons were cast out of people in the early Church, without the apostles discussing with them. The Bible says;
“And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch.
Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly.
And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them.
Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.” Acts 5:12-16 NKJV
The demons left all those who were tormented by unclean spirits without the apostles conversing with them. The density of the presence of God forced them out of the people. That is how the supernatural of God cast out demons after the cross. People must understand the power of dispensations.
There was no “come out, come out” scream form Peter. His shadow just casted them out. That is the deliverance pattern after the cross. It is the deliverance pattern for today. So, anyone you see being delivered any other way, is being delivered by the demon of deliverance; a dark supernatural.
All you see on certain tv stations, where the preacher talks to the so call demon in the person, and perform on the so-called demon possess, is the work of the dark supernatural; the demon of deliverance.
YOU SEE SATAN’S DESIRE TO BE LIKE THE MOST HIGH GOD IN ALL THEY DO.
Only the blind does not see, but call them “The great power of God” like the Samaritans in Acts 8, who experienced it under Simon the sorcerer, after the cross. The Bible says;
“But there was a certain man called Simon, who previously practiced sorcery in the city and astonish the people of Samaria, claiming that he was someone great, to whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, “This man is the great power of God.”
And they heeded him because he had astonished them with his sorceries for a long time.” Acts 8:9-11 NKJV
If you think we do not have Simon the sorcerer’s lineage in the present Church, then you are ignorant. History has it that, he infiltrated the church through the pretense of salvation, and built a large followership from those who joined the church with a spiritual taste bud for idolatry.
They found in him, the environment of the dark supernatural they were used to, and made him their own apostle prophet, and spiritual leader. You see a repeat of that even in our days.
In Nigeria, for example, the West, the South-south, the South Eastern parts, and some other places, were notably known for powerful display of the dark supernatural in the days of paganism (though still going on in some places). Churches with the greatest number of followers within the cities in those regions, are churches that has an environment that is akin to the environment of Simon the sorcerer.
You see them using water, oil, salt, magic rods, and all kind of deliverance inventions to minister to people. They preach Jesus, talk about Him, but they lack the apostolic construction environment of the early Church. Their spiritual atmospheres, are the very one that Simon the sorcerer had, that gave him a large followership of ex-pagans in his days; ex-pagans who never became temples for GOD in the Spirit.
THE KINGDOM OF GOD CONTROLS THE SUPERNATURAL OF GOD.
It will not create an environment where you can still serve God, or obtain deliverance the way the devil gave you while you were with him. If the devil gives people deliverance by using water, oil, salt, the altar raising theory, the offering of sacrifices and participating in rituals for deliverance, God will not give you deliverance the same way.
Most preachers who administer deliverance to people the devil’s way, will tell you, “Satan stole it from God. So, we are collecting it back.” Really? Why didn’t God collected all the anointing He gave him when he was sent parking from heaven? These dump defenses are only accepted by simpletons.
Any Church that administer deliverance to you, the way witch doctors did to you when you went visiting them, is operating in the dark supernatural.
For example, witch doctors will never be interested in you becoming a temple for God in the Spirit, but in you bowing before their shrines, or worshiping in their temples, and bringing sacrifices.
In the same way, the dark supernatural in Church, will never be interested in you becoming a temple for God in the Spirit, but in you bowing to the prophets, apostles and etc. and giving them sacrifices, like deities, and worshiping them, their seats, and even church buildings for your deliverance.
Witch doctors will not be interested in you carrying God on your inside but carrying charms in your body. In the same way, the dark supernatural in Church will never be interested in you carrying God on your inside, but in you carrying what they call deliverance oil, holy water, salt, sand from your village and etc. in your hands, for your deliverance.
There is so much about deliverance in the dark supernatural in our devotional text that we would have to come back to it, because enough have been shared for today.
Understand that, preachers who use the dark supernatural to conduct deliverance, are all seen by their victims we called members, as “great power of God” because of how they astonish them with great wonders and signs, like Simon the sorcerer. But the people do not know that, by receiving the deliverance they administer, and participating in worship under them, they get possessed and demonized.
