TODAY’S DEVOTION (FRIDAY 14TH JUNE 2024)
“Man is also chastened with pain on his bed, And with strong pain in many of his bones, So that his life abhors bread, And his soul succulent food.
His flesh wastes away from sight, And his bones stick out which once were not seen. Yes, his soul draws near the Pit, And his life to the executioners.
“If there is a messenger for him, A mediator, one among a thousand, To show man His uprightness, Then He is gracious to him, and says, ‘Deliver him from going down to the Pit; I have found a ransom’; Job 33:19-24 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 165TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.
This is the day the LORD has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it. We give God the glory for being our Judge, Our Lawgiver and our King.
If God is your Judge, Your Lawgiver, and your King, you are secured, both in Heaven and on earth. You are secured in your family, secured in your work place, secured in your neighborhood, you are secured everywhere you go or live.
You are secured even if you are surrounded by the most vicious enemies, you are secured even if the tongues of men are stirred by the dragon to be lifted against you. You are secured no matter where and no matter what. Yes, you are secured even when evidence of liars are cooked against you, because as our Judge, He frustrates the tokens of liars and make diviners mad.
Earthly Judges and those who sit to judge in the courts of public opinion, might unjustly, mischievously and viciously rule against you, but you have the Heavenly Judge who overrules such rulings. He is the one you should take your case to for justice.
There are no queues in His courts, there are no pending cases either.
Yes, there are no queues, no untreated files, no long hearings, no lying witnesses, no police officers to liaise with court staffs to hide files, or seek bribes and pervert justice, no prejudice and etc. There are just angels who took record of what people did or said.
Yes, angels of God’s presence whose assignment bothers on being at God’s court of divine settlement, and parading the earth to take records of wrong doings. You see them in Genesis 19 in the case of Sodom and Gomorrah.
THE BIBLE CALLS THEM MINISTERING SPIRITS WHO MINISTER FOR US.
They are the working staff at the court of the Judge of the earth.
They come into our cities, nations, government offices, residences, neighborhoods, and etc. to see if the prayers we are praying to God for justice, and the oppressions we go through, injustices and maltreatment are so.
Concerning the case of Sodom and Gomorrah, the Judge of the earth said;
…Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave, I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know.”
Then the men turned away from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the LORD.” Genesis 18:20-22 NKJV
The men in this scripture were the angels who work at His courts.
They are in charge of investigations, assessments, and execution of written judgments. You cannot have these powerful agents of the Kingdom of God working for you and you begin to respond to those who say things against you.
Just take the case to the court of the Judge of the earth and leave the rest in the hand of the LORD. Then live your days following peace with all men, hating no one and carrying out no revenge missions.
At the appointed time, sentences will swiftly be passed, and judgment will be committed to executioners to execute in their times what the Judge of earth has decreed.
Sometimes, when these executioners go to work, the Bible says diseases breaks out in the lives of those it concerns.
Friend, the lot of those who make you cry before GOD is not peaceful at all. Yes, the judgment of God on those who do things that make you cry before God is not a good one. The heritage of all liars and evil men and women who say things that make you cry before God for justice, is not a blessed one.
The ruling that will eventually come out of God’s court against them will not be a good one. So, hold unto Him, and do not slip into bitterness and hate. Just keep pleading your case before the LORD for redress, and keep treating them well whenever the opportunity comes.
FROM WHAT JESUS SAID IN LUKE CHAPTER 18, IT IS CLEAR THAT YOUR JUSTICE WILL COME UNFAILINGLY.
God does not justify the wicked, neither does he forsake the righteous. No one can change that. That is why we must also fear Him and not be a pain in the life of anyone.
Yes, while we seek redress, there should be no one out there seeking redress also at the same court because of our evil deeds. We must therefore, live right in the sight of God and man, and not do evil to others.
We must follow what the Bible teaches and not become the reason for the tears of another. If you become the reason for the tears of another, the angels will collect evidence against you, and take them to the court of the Judge of the earth. That will invalidate your own case before the Judge.
So, we should rather be the reason for the joy of others.
If someone will even shed tears, let them shed tears for your kindness to them, not your wickedness to them. Tears people shed for your kindness or wickedness to them are all collected as evidence by these angels. They collect them for either your blessing or judgment.
You must know that and be careful. You must live a life where no judgment is decreed against you in the court of divine settlement.
No life will remain peaceful when a written judgment is being carried out against it. Our devotional text tells us that even diseases might break out in the lives of people when their lives are committed to executioners of written judgments because of their evil deeds.
A major highlight of the text says;
Job 33:19-22 NKJV
WE MUST AVOID THINGS LIKE WHAT IS WRITTEN IN THIS SCRIPTURE FROM HAPPENING TO US.
The person in this scripture was going down the pit, because executioners where on duty. It tells us how life turns out if written judgments are issued against someone. That is why we should never do what will take our lives to the court of divine settlement for judgment. We should rather live our days doing only what will take our lives there for blessings.
I believe God has spoken to someone. As we bring this to a close, it is important to understand that we should live our days, making God our Judge, Our Lawgiver, and our King.
That is the only way the proceedings in His court will begin to favor us. Yes, it is the only way that proceedings in other courts will do us no harm. Be it the courts of demons, the courts of witches, the courts of law, or the courts of public opinion.
What people say in the courts of law or the courts of public opinion, or what demons and witches do against you in their own courts, will have no bearing in your life, if you are blameless and are in an intimate relationship with the LORD, as your Judge, your Lawgiver, and your King! That is the message.
So, fix your heart in pleasing He who has a court that supersedes every other court on the face of the earth. Let your heart keep panting after Him, as the deer pants after the water brooks. Let Him reign over your thoughts, decisions and aspirations as your Judge, your lawgiver and your King.
He still has a History of overruling what men or spirits rule against you. Hold unto that. Amen!!
LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR YOU TODAY;
“As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?
My tears have been my food day and night, while they continually say to me, “Where is your God?”
When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go with the multitude; I went with them to the house of God, With the voice of joy and praise, With a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast.” Psalm 42:1-4 NKJV
