TODAY’S DEVOTION (Thursday 9th January 2025)
“Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; By knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” Proverbs 24:3-4 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 9TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY.
It is a great day to be alive and well in Christ Jesus and we thank God for everything. It is also the 8th day of our program, the now “40 special days with my Jesus.” We will be feeding on the 10th message of the journey today at 5:30pm East African Time (EAT).
We are beginning today’s devotional with a glean of wisdom from the number ten. God speaks in numbers, you know, and today He will be speaking to us in the number ten. Many of us do not know that the number ten is a unique prophetic number in Biblical numerology. It means so many things; the first is wholeness and Holiness.
Yes, the number ten is God’s number of wholeness and Holiness. You see that all through the scriptures.
When God wanted to chastise Israel for believing the report of the ten spies out of the 12 Moses sent, He said they have sinned against Him ten times. That seems to me that God counts. But does God really count our sins? Well even if He does, the Bible says if He marks iniquity we shall not stand.
God wants us to live holy lives, because sin is a killer. It has killed so many of us. It has killed our health and sent so many to early graves with their Bible win their hands.
It has killed our finances and marriages, our joy and hopes, our faith and our fire, our ministries and our churches, our preachers and prophets, and reduced them to puppets of Satan, while we blame it on evil altars, and other things that do not really exist.
Sin has killed more than any other thing on the face of the earth. It has also taken people from the miracles the LORD gave them to miseries, it has removed people from blessings to taken them to curses, and turned the comfort of many into captivities.
IF YOU WILL LIVE A PEACEFUL LIFE IN 2025, AMONG OTHER THINGS YOU ARE TO DO, YOU ARE TO AVOID SIN AT ALL COST.
It will allow the Holy Spirit to make you whole and holy. In other words, it will allow the Holy Spirit to fulfill the spiritual blessing of the message of the number ten in your life.
Now, for that to happen, you must find a good Church to plant yourself in. You must find a preacher whose preaching does not free people to sin, because there are so many of them today. You must find a preacher whose ministry frees people from sin.
Sadly, so many leading preachers do not emphasis on sin, the most lethal weapon of destruction in the spirit realm. That is why the casualties are rising every day. Except in few instances, the pew cannot be clean if the pulpit is unclean.
One of the many reasons for preachers’ lack of Emphasis on sin is this, many of the leading preachers are slaves of sexual sins, greed, covetousness and etc. The young preachers under them with either large or small congregations, are also slaves of the same.
The Bible describes them this way,
“having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children.
For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error.
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage.” 2 Peter 2:14,18-19 NKJV
YOU WILL NEVER LIVE A WHOLE OR HOLY LIFE, HAVING A PREACHER THAT FITS THIS BIBLE DESCRIPTION AS A PASTOR, PROPHET, APOSTLE, OR SPIRITUAL FATHER.
This scripture fits the description of many preachers today, especially the influential ones, leading to a rise of a great number of Christians who live a life of sin, calling it weakness. There is no way you can have wholeness and holiness in the lives of people if it does not exist in the lives and lips of their spiritual leaders.
You cannot be influenced by a preacher who promise people liberty while he himself is a servant of corruption and live a whole and holy life. Except you feed from another preacher while under him, you might end up ruining yourself.
In 2025, you must be careful of such preachers. You must not worship in a church that does not talk about sin, and teach people to embrace holiness; I mean the holiness of God not that of the Pharisees, holiness watch dogs, or false prophets.
Yes, there is the holiness preaching of false prophets who operate with the divination of the moon and stars and use the powers of Baal for miracles. They preach against sin as a cover up. What they say does not transform anyone’s heart. It only makes them, the preacher, one to be feared and endorsed.
If you do not walk in the holiness of God in 2025, you might be in for it. Sin will so destroy you that there might be no prayer to redeem you. Our devotional text says,
“Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; By knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” Proverbs 24:3-4 NKJV
The house here is your life. Build it this year using this and other wisdom of God in the number ten that we will uncover. That brings us to the next meaning of the number ten, creation.
YES, THE NUMBER TEN IS GOD’S NUMBER OF CREATION.
God spoke ten times during creation. It is called the Ten creation Utterances of God. You must seek the LORD to create a new life for you this year; a blessed life that will not play with sin, and treat it as nothing. Yes, a life that is true, noble, just, pure, lovely, full of good report, virtues and praise worthy.
He can do that for any of us, if we seek Him with all our hearts. If He created the entire planet in six days, our lives are too small for Him to create in six minutes if we walk with Him.
He has a history of using the obedience, submission and sacrifice of those who walk with Him to give them a new life; a life that is more beautiful than what they may have had. He can do it for us.
As we walk with Him in wholeness and holiness, His Holy Spirit will find something in our lives to use in creating such a beautiful life for us. He said in the book of Psalms;
“Gather My saints together to Me, those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.” Let the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is Judge. Selah Psalm 50:5-6 NKJV
The word saints here, suggest the people were holy men and women who kept the covenant of worship with their God by sacrifice, not liars, sexual perverts, thieves, sinful or hateful men and women, who just brought money to give to God sacrificially to change their lives.
It suggests a people whose lives were made whole and holy, through the price they paid to keep the covenant of worship, giving God what to use in declaring His righteousness, and creating a new life for them. That is the kind of persons God want each one of us to be in 2025.
If we walk in holiness and wholeness, we will see Him using our walk to create for us, that new life we so desire.
There are five more meanings of the number ten. It ranges from authority, tithing to unity. We cannot have unity if some of us are righteous and others lawless, or if some of us are walking in darkness and others walking in light, or if some of us are dead in the Spirit and others alive in the Spirit.
UNITY IS ONLY POSSIBLE AMONG PEOPLE OF THE SAME LIGHT, REVELATION, WALK AND FAITH.
In 2025, find your spiritual family and be united with them in faith, hope, purity, righteousness, revelation, and in the Holy Spirit. Do not join yourself with any group because of carnal or money reasons. Cherish your soul and do what is right.
The last meaning of the number ten that I want to share with us is redemption. Yes, the number ten is God’s number of redemption. It is the reason we do not need to raise an altar of sacrifice to be free from spiritual problems in God’s kingdom. It is only in false religion people obtain freedom that way!!
It is the reason we do not use oil, water, salt, or have our feet washed to obtain deliverance from God. It is the reason we get all we need from God freely. The Bible says,
“Shake yourself from the dust, arise; Sit down, O Jerusalem! Loose yourself from the bonds of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion!
For thus says the Lord: “You have sold yourselves for nothing, and you shall be redeemed without money.” Isaiah 52:2-3 NKJV
This scripture anchors our redemption on nothing from us but everything from God. It clearly negates the use of money for deliverance.
The Book of 1st Peter chapter one verse eighteen to nineteen further revealed what God did to redeem us. It says the precious blood of Jesus was shed for our redemption. That is the message of number ten.
We are not to do anything for our redemption but have faith in the shed blood of Jesus and lead lives that will keep it at work in our lives; the life of shaking off the dust of sin, iniquity and trespasses. Amen!!
In conclusion, the message of the number ten in God, teaches us that we insult the blood of Jesus when we do things to be redeemed or delivered; when we sow seeds, raise altars of sacrifice or silence them, or do any of those things the so-called prophets tell us to do to obtain deliverance.
We render the works of the cross in our lives ineffective.
The precious blood of Jesus was shed for our redemption. It is the bases for the release of miracles, blessings, peace, and all we need from the LORD. That is why we do not need to sow any seed as they call it, or do those things.
It is only in false Christianity those things are done, with even results obtained.
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION;
“And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear;
knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
“Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, “1 Peter 1:17-19, 22-23 NKJV
