TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 14TH JANUARY 2025)
“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” Matthew 7:26-27 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 14TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY.
Today we will refresh our hearts again with a word on divine will.
People who have been with Jesus, will rightly tell you that it is wisdom to be in divine will, and foolishness to be in what looks like divine will. They will tell you that being in divine will is the most secured place to be on the face of the earth.
There are so many reasons why it is so. One of it lies in what it attracts from God. It attracts constant supply of grace.
There is something God wants us to spend our entire life doing. Yes, there is something He want us to live our days dying for. That thing is His predetermined purpose for your life. Spend 2025 discovering or stepping into it. If you are already in it, use this year to strengthen your grip on it. If you do, you will begin to walk in so much power from God.
We have said over and over that any dark or evil thing you do not want in your life, can be cheaply taken down by living your days for what God created you for. The only place that Satan can be cheaply rendered powerless in a man’s life, is the place of God’s will for his life.
That is the place God want you and I to spend our days from. There are so many who are not doing so hence not seeing God’s moves in their lives.
Heaven knows that Satan will prefer having us in what everyone sees as God’s will for our lives than to be in what is God’s true will for us. He will even send money and fame to people to keep them in things that are not hurting His kingdom in any way; things that are not God’s will for them.
He knows, what looks like God’s will attracts nothing from God to the people, and will not harm his works. He knows God does not reinforce what is not His will no matter how much people pray about it. Hence making sure people are kept in such places in life.
He will seduce, hoodwink, deceive, bully, persecute, or bring fame and fortune if need be, to keep people in what is not God’s will for them.
YES, THE DEVIL CAN FUNCTION FREELY IN PLACES THAT LACK THE MANIFESTATION OF GOD’S WILL.
Outside what is not truly God’s will, he can be in perfect control of people’s lives, but that is not possible in places of God’s manifest will. So many marriages, finances, careers, families, businesses and etc. have been destroyed because they are built on the sand of humanistic philosophies, secular humanism, and other acceptable things but not God’s perfect will.
People are literally sold out to purposes and plans God never predetermined for them. They are sold out to humanism. Do not do that this year. This year is an unusual year. You can see the fires in LA in the United States, and the protection of God over the homes of the righteous.
We saw such things coming but never knew they will come that fast.
Do not live your life according to humanism. Humanism is the common way of solving problems without involving God. It is living your life the best way you can without involving God. People who do that calls God religion. Do not be part of them this year. It will be too risky to be.
Humanism is based on the wisdom of men, and it is the bedrock of all problems of mankind, because anything we do that removes God from the equation, is built on sand and will either destroy us or get destroyed at the end.
The Bible says anything built on sand will be destroyed by the floods, winds or storms of life. But that which is built on the rock will survive the floods, winds, and storms of life.
Sand represents human or demonic wisdom, but the rock represents the wisdom of God. Anything we found on the sand of human or demonic wisdom (marriages, families, jobs, businesses, finances, faith, careers, ministries, etc) will not stand the test of TIME. But whatever is founded on the rock of God’s wisdom will stand. That is the core truth of our devotional text today.
In 2025, build your life on the rock, and not on sand.
Understand that the floods, storms and winds of life, are not a matter of “if” but a matter of “when.” In other words, they will come either you are saved or unsaved, anointed or not. They are not conditional but unconditional.
SO, USE YOUR SALVATION OR ANOINTING TO BUILD YOUR LIFE ON THE ROCK. STAY AWAY FROM THE SAND DIMENSION.
No matter how prayerful, anointed, supernatural, or aligned you are with God, the storms, floods, and winds of life will come. No matter how much you know and apply to your daily life, these things are inevitable; they will happen. They are normal occurrences of an earthly life.
The only way out is to build your life on the rock, so that when they come, they leave you better, like they left Job, not bitter and beaten.
If your marriage, finances, faith, career, business, ministry or family are built on the rock, the floods, storms and winds of life that come against them, will leave them standing. But if they are not built on the rock, the forces will flatten them down.
So, build every detail of your life on the rock in 2025.
The difference between marriages, finances, businesses, faith, health, expectations, jobs, ministries, visions, plans, provisions, and whatever concerns life that is standing after the problems of life and the ones flattened by the same problems, lies in what they are founded on.
Time to become God’s house on the rock! Time to make a year, your year of living like God’s house on the rock. One major rock is the rock of doing whatever the word of the LORD says.
Our devotional text today says,
“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall”
The rock of doing whatever the LORD says to you, will make God do whatever you say to Him.
Yes, doing whatever the LORD says to you in the Holy Scriptures, will make Him do whatever you say to Him in prayer. It is the very rock that brings the blessing to your prayer life, and on the works of your hands. It helps you to take possession of whatever you say to God in prayer, and helps you to see whatever you do prospering.
That was what Isaac in the Bible used to prosper in very unfavorable conditions, and continued prospering, until he became very prosperous. You are the next.
In 2025, if you live each day doing whatever the LORD says to you, especially through the Holy Scriptures, you will prosper, and continue prospering, until you become very prosperous. Amen and amen.

Then the LORD appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you.
Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.
Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; Genesis 26:2-3, 12-13 NKJV
