TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Tuesday 8th June 2021)
“Then the children of Israel moved, and camped in the plains of Moab on the side of the Jordan across from Jericho.
Now Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites. And Moab was exceedingly afraid of the people because they were many, and Moab was sick with dread because of the children of Israel.” Numbers 22:1-3
WELCOME TO THE 159TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS!
Glory be to God for giving us life and keeping us for Himself. This is the day the LORD has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it. He has been our help and keeper. His Spirit has made us and His breathe give us life. We are alive today because of His breath. We believe the number of our days we shall fulfill.
No matter what you may be going through, it is important that you have faith that you will fulfill the number of your days. The enemy will not cut your life short. Though we do not think about long life because we have eternal life, but we all need to live as long as the word and will of the LORD of our individual lives permits.
Like our fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, may we die at a good old age, with our God surrounding us with His presence and the angels singing for our home coming in Jesus precious name.
I believe this world needs you more than the world of God for now, because of God’s purposes that must be accomplished here through you. Therefore, I declare unto you, according to the word of the LORD, the number of your days, you shall fulfill. In Jesus precious name.
If your life here on earth is being threatened by sickness, diseases or whatever, hold on to the LORD and His word for our lives. You healing is in that word. There is a word in the book of proverbs that is worthy of note. It is the voice of the LORD to us, and I want you to take it to be the voice of the LORD to you concerning your life. It says,
“My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.” Proverbs 3:1-7 KJV
This morning we will be continuing with excerpts from the Book OVERCOMING WITCHCRAFT BY THE GREATNESS OF GOD’S POWER. We stopped at the mysteries of the plains of Moab. We are picking up form there this morning. I pray the LORD grant us light and life in Jesus precious name. Amen!
WHAT THE PLAINS OF MOAB REPRESENTS
The plain of Moab represents spiritual zones where activities of witchcraft are present. It is part of the acacia grove and Israel camped there for a very long time. It also represents whatever is concocted by the activities of witchcraft.
For instance, there are marriages that are product of witchcraft accomplishments. Such marriages are contracted without following God’s principles. You just see the man or woman, lusted after him or her. The next step was sex! Then it continues in a routine. Finally, you started living together and bearing children.
Most of this kind of marriages are in the plains of Moab. And except Jesus steps in to make things right, the relationship will be a plain of Moab. Consequently, those involved and their children will be vulnerable to witchcraft activities.
There are Business also that are liken as the plains of Moab in the spirit. You find people visiting witch doctors to start businesses or companies. Others perform rituals to engage black witchcraft to build their economic lives.
ANY ECONOMIC LIFE BUILT THROUGH WITCHCRAFT IS IN THE PLAIN OF MOAB.
Even in gospel ministry; you find Churches and ministries in the plains of Moab What do you mean? You may ask! You see, there are Churches that started through Charismatic witchcraft. Charismatic witchcraft is the use of gifts and callings to manipulate people.
Most mainstream churches have become citadels of witchcraft that is why you see people with the witchcraft software loving such places. In some Pentecostal circles, pastors have manipulated themselves into starting churches and so forth. Whatever started through any kind of witchcraft is in the plain of Moab in the spirit.
Actually, you find some churches and ministries today starting by black witchcraft like it happened in the days of the Bible. In the days of the Bible we had Simon the sorcerer who was a pastor of a large ministry in Samaria before Philip came (Acts 😎. He used black witchcraft and the people called him THE GREAT POWER OF GOD.
It is possible for a preacher to use black witchcraft to start a church or make it grow and people not know.
People will never be free from witchcraft activities or attacks worshiping in such places because the entire ministry will be a plain of Moab in the spirit. That is why you will find them bringing prophets and prophetesses with the Balaam anointing to their deliverance meetings or conferences, to practice witchcraft on people and rob them of their monies, using prophecies to lick up everything around the innocent people. The Bible says,
So Moab said to the elders of Midian, “Now this company will lick up everything around us, as an ox licks up the grass of the field.” And Balak the son of Zippor was king of the Moabites at that time.
Then he sent messengers to Balaam the son of Beor at Pethor, which is near the River in the land of the sons of his people, to call him, saying: “Look, a people has come from Egypt. See, they cover the face of the earth, and are settling next to me!
Therefore please come at once, curse this people for me, for they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I shall be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land, for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.” Numbers 22:4-6 NKJV
FROM THIS SCRIPTURE, THE BIBLE MADE IT CLEAR THAT ISRAEL STARTED THEIR JOURNEY SAFELY FROM EGYPT.
The destination was the promise land but suddenly they found themselves in the plains of Moab. As soon as they got there, they enemy came against them with witchcraft. As you can see in Numbers 22:4-6, they incurred a wrath without even offending anyone. The enemy just saw the blessing of God upon their lives and what He is doing for them and got threatened. That is what happens to a child of GOD sometimes.
Sometimes you do not find yourself in the plains of Moab because you did something evil, but because you are just on a journey with God and you stumble into people and places that are in the plains of Moab in the spirit realm launching witchcraft attacks against you.
When you find yourself in such a situation either through marriage, church attendance, economic pursuit or any other thing, what God maybe doing or is about to do in your life will be picked by witchcraft and evil forces will be unleashed against you. The things God has put in your life will become a threat to those around.
You will find people you have done no wrong to hating you without cause. I spent most of my beginning days in life and ministry in the plains of Moab, so I know exactly what I am sharing with you. It’s really terrible to be without God in the plains of Moab. Things will be hitting your life and you won’t be able to tell where they are coming from. I had to spend countless hours in fasting and prayer without seeing headway. Until I left those plains literally, my life was a misery.
Even if you are a prayer warrior, you will never prosper at the speed of GOD if you are spending your days in covenant with people and places that are the plains of Moab in the spirit.
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU FIND YOURSELF IN THE PLAINS OF MOAB?
I will say “you do nothing!” Just be Jacob, because Israel did nothing they were just Jacob (a prophetically pregnant people seeking the LORD). In fact, they did not even know they were in those plains, spiritually. Just make sure the witchcraft software is not in your heart and keep moving forward with God, breaking every tie with darkness until you come out of them.
People who obey God are always in motion that is why witches and wizards can never have them for dinner.
If you are in motion with GOD, you form a pattern on the face of the earth that agrees with patterns in Heaven, making it impossible to be devoured in the plains of Moab. That was the story of Israel.
Their obedience to divine order created a Heavenly pattern on the face of the earth that looked like the cross of Jesus. The way they were told to camp and move by the LORD, was like a moving cross (when in motion) and a stationary cross (when not in motion). And because the death of Christ on the cross would be God’s answer to man’s questions, power generated on earth by their obedience and made them untouchable even in the plains of Moab.
Consequently, Balak and Balaam could not have them for dinner. The Bible says;
God brought them out of Egypt, rampaging like a wild ox. No magic spells can bind Jacob, no incantations can hold back Israel. People will look at Jacob and Israel and say, “What a great thing has God done!” Numbers 23:22-23 THE MESSAGE
MAY THIS SCRIPTURE BE YOUR TESTIMONY!
If you are therefore in the plains of Moab spiritually, and magic spells are binding you successfully, incantations are holding you back, and any form of witchcraft is succeeding against you, it’s a sign that you are not in synchronicity with things written in Heaven concerning you the way Israel was. Your life is not drawing out a Heavenly pattern on the face of the earth. The Bible says,
“Forever, O Lord, your word is settled in heaven. Your faithfulness endures to all generations; you established the earth, and it abides.” Psalms 119:89-90 NKJV
Our lives were originally designed to draw out patterns of things in Heaven on earth; in other words, to outsource Heaven to the earth. If that is not happening, we will always be consumed whenever we find ourselves with people at the plains of Moab. That is why it’s dangerous to be led by self or by empty religion. God wants us led by His Spirit.
Anyone who is not living a genuine Holy Spirit led life, will leave a pattern on the face of the earth that is in conflict with what is written in Heaven concerning him or her, making it possible for magic spells to bind him or her or incantations to hold him or her back.
If we are led by religion, our flesh and carnal passions we can suffer successful witchcraft attacks in the plains of Moab. That brings us to the next key to overcoming witchcraft.
