TODAY’S DEVOTION (FRIDAY 29TH JULY 2022)
“I saw in the visions of my head while on my bed, and there was a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven.
He cried aloud and said thus: ‘Chop down the tree and cut off its branches, strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the beasts get out from under it, And the birds from its branches.
Nevertheless, leave the stump and roots in the earth, Bound with a band of iron and bronze, In the tender grass of the field. Let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let him graze with the beasts On the grass of the earth.
Let his heart be changed from that of a man, let him be given the heart of a beast, and let seven times pass over him.
‘This decision is by the decree of the watchers, And the sentence by the word of the holy ones, in order that the living may know That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, gives it to whomever He will, And sets over it the lowest of men.’ Daniel 4:13-17 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 211TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF AMAZING GRACE!
God has been so good, faithful and merciful. One of the things GOD has a History of doing is showing mercy to even those who do not deserve it. His becoming man and dying on cross is one.
From where I sit, I have seen God show amazing mercies to people that make one wonder if there is still judgment His courts; yes there is. It’s just that most times mercy triumphs over judgments.
Personally, I have received so much mercy from God that the enemy is finding it difficult to neutralize me. I have found God’s mercy to be one of the greatest insurance packages in spiritual warfare. If you do not have it please do not go against the enemy.
Talking about divine mercy, there are gods that portray themselves as full of mercy. But you will never know what they meant by being full of mercy until you do what they do not want. That is when you will know that they are empty of mercy.
What they meant by mercy is an inhumanity, ruthlessness and cruelty which is made to be acceptable as mercy by those who worship them.
Those who have served idols will tell you there is no forgiveness or mercy there!
You see, Our God is not an idol, and I consider Him more than a deity. There are no words to describe this Heavenly Father, who gives His rain to both the righteous and the wicked. He will not deal with us according our sins, but will urge us strongly to live right by accepting Christ and forsaking our sinful ways.
It has been a 31- Day journey of faith with the Cry of the Holy Spirit on miracles signs and wonders. We have just two days to go but there are many things we are yet to cover.
We have set the month of August aside to teach what we will not be able to write down. The month has been declared to be the month of Divine intervention for us.
It is going to be our August Special as we get schooled in Miracles, Signs & Wonders. God will stretch forth His arm and do marvelous things among us.
Our key verse will be Habakkuk 1:5. It says;
“Look among the nations and watch—Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days Which you would not believe, though it were told you.” Habakkuk 1:5 NKJV
WE WILL UNEARTH THIS SCRIPTURE DURING THE MONTH.
The stage is set for a repeat of this word in our day and time. Whatever we have learned this month was orchestrated by the LORD to prepare us for what He is releasing upon us next month.
Divine interventions are products of Throne Room Decisions.
In other words, the divine will never intervene in any situation on earth except the Throne of God sits over it and determine its fate. That was what happened to Nebuchadnezzar. He was raised by the LORD to function as king to kings and lord to the lords of the earth of his days.
He was the first and only global king to have ever lived. The next will be Christ Himself in the new heaven and the New earth where righteousness will dwell.
Prophecy said this concerning him;
“You, O king, are a king of kings. For the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength, and glory;
and wherever the children of men dwell, or the beasts of the field and the birds of the heaven, He has given them into your hand, and has made you ruler over them all—you are this head of gold.” Daniel 2:37-38 NKJV
Now, if a man is given this kind of authority, and then slip into pride or an over estimation of self, he will begin to abuse it; he will tap into the lucifer dimension and cut off from the God who gave him such authority.
Once he is cut of, he will become influenced by the evil one, and if the evil one lay hold on such enormous authority, the purposes of God will suffer. That is why God resist the proud but gives grace to the humble.
The humble will tremble at His word and remain under His influence forever. But the proud will disdain His word and come under the influence of the evil one day.
It is important to note how pride comes in. Pride comes in when our hearts becomes lifted because of the liftings of God.
SO, WHEN NEBUCHADNEZZAR WAS LIFTED BY THE LORD, HIS HEART WAS NOT LIFTED ALONG.
That kept him on the Throne for a while. But one day God say that a day was coming when his heart will be lifted in pride and he will no longer stay under His righteous influence, making it possible to be hijacked by the evil one to do his will.
So, God decided to intervene. The first thing He did was to send the message in a dream format to warn him, since he was not within the realm of face to face communication. Sadly, that did not work.
A day came that his heart was lifted, and what was determined in the Throne Room of God was executed and he became a beast for 7 years. The Bible says whatever happened to him was by the decree of the watchers and the sentence of the holy ones.
Our devotional text puts it this way;
“I saw in the visions of my head while on my bed, and there was a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven.
This is the second time we will be looking at the story of Nebuchadnezzar in this journey of faith. This time his story taught us that divine interventions are products of Throne Room Decisions.
It is important to note that Until God’s Throne Decides on that illness, that economy situation, that death threat, that hardship, that satanic attack or etc. there can be no intervention from God.
TALKING ABOUT THE CATALYSTS OF MIRACLES, WE CAN SAY, SOVEREIGN DECISIONS THAT TAKES PLACE WITHIN GOD’S THRONE ARE CATALYST OF MIRACLES.
That is why we must not lead lives that runs contrary to the authority of GOD’s throne.
There will be no move of the Holy Spirit in your life at an immediate present until a decision concerning your life is taken in the Throne room at an immediate present. Such decisions are dispatched to the earth as the immediate present will of GOD. You see this in how Jesus walked in miracles.
Let us look at the miracle of Lazarus for example.
The Bible says as soon as Jesus heard that Lazarus was sick, He did nothing about it. The reason was there was no decision yet about Lazarus’ case in the Throne Room. Jesus by that action as man, showed us how to live as men on earth. He showed us how not to lead lives or go to do things that the Throne did not decide.
He made sure He never walked in His own decisions. He spent each day within decisions from God’s Throne. That was why no one He prayed for escape God’s miracle power. They were either all healed or delivered.
He said in His word;
…“Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.
For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. John 5:19-20 NKJV
The Father, in the physical Days of Christ, sat on the Throne, along with the Holy Spirit and made decisions that were forwarded to the Son, Jesus, on earth for execution.
When the decisions gets to Jesus on earth, they informed Him on what to do. That was why He never went to Lazarus when He heard the man was sick. He only went when He heard the man was death because that was when the Throne decided that He moved.
WHEN HE GOT THERE, THE MAN WAS ALREADY DEATH FOR FOUR DAYS AND WAS EVEN BURIED.
There were no vehicles in those days. So, it took days to cover very short distances. The Bible says when Jesus got there, He began to implement the decision that the Throne took concerning Lazarus’ case. But his sister did not believe. However, it did not stop the miracle from happening.
The Bible says;
“So, when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb four days. Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles away. And many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.
Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him, but Mary was sitting in the house.
Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.”
Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it.
Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.”
Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.
And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.” Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!”
And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.” John 11:17-27, 38-44 NKJV
THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING ACTS OF GOD IN THE BIBLE.
It has a lot of truths to be gleaned from. From the mysteries of groaning for immortality buried in the groanings of Christ, to the dead man coming back to life, there is so much for our generation to feed on. But we are going to limit ourselves to the subject of our discourse.
There are miracles that depends on people’s faith to happen and there are miracles that do not need their faith. The miracle in this story never depended on Lazarus’ faith because the man was dead.
Even his Sisters who were supposed to stand in faith lacked it. Jesus had to talk to them about it, which from the context of the scripture, they never conceived any.
However, the miracle happened. It happened because it was a Throne Room decision that Lazarus be raised.
If the Throne make a decision for your life, even your doubt cannot stop you from experiencing a turn around. Such decisions are performed by the glory of GOD, for the glory of GOD.
Child of God, get set for such moves in the coming month.
I believe enough have been shared for the day. Every Child of God must understand that there are miracles that are products of Throne Room decisions. Such miracles are sovereign; they do not require a man’s faith to be performed.
They are performed by the LORD to establish a Throne Room decision. To get this kind of miracles, you must be a Child of God whose life decisions do not run contrary to the Throne of GOD.
You must spend your earthly days according to what is written in the volume of the books concerning you! You must be one who delights to do God’s will; one with His laws in your heart.
LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR YOU TODAY!
“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened. Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require.
Then I said, “Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it is written of me. I delight to do Your will, O my God, and Your law is within my heart.” Psalm 40:6-8 NKJV
