TODAY’S DEVOTION (SATURDAY 29TH OCTOBER 2022)
“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 1:3-4 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 302ND DAY OF OUR YEAR OF AMAZING GRACE!
For 302 days today the grace of God has ran our lives and kept us well. It has filled us with God’s kindness and mercies. It has been the reason for all we are and all we have.
Life may not have been pleasant to you this year, but the fact that you are alive speaks so much of the beautiful days ahead of you.
The Bible says;
“[There is no exemption] but he who is joined to all the living has hope—for a living dog is better than a dead lion.” Ecclesiastes 9:4 AMPC
Let the air in your nostrils tell you that God has a plan for you and that plan is good and not evil. You only need a revelation of what it is and step into it. But sometimes that does not come easily. Like a plant that is planted by the river side, you will need to get yourself planted in a Church that has the river of God’s word, presence and power to come into that good plan of God for your life.
You may have had a bad experience with Church but shake that off and move on. God still has a remnant on the face of the earth. He still has places of worship where He sits as King over all, and gets Christ formed in people’s hearts. Find one and plant yourself there, and His Spirit will push you into where He wants you to be.
We have been on a 31-day journey of faith looking at the Cry of the Spirit of God in the Holy Scriptures about the Blessed Holy Spirit.
Today is the 29th day since we started the journey. It has been a beautiful experience with God and we have learned quite some truths that we believe will help us in our walk and talk with God.
TODAY WE WILL BE PICKING UP FROM WHERE WE STOPPED YESTERDAY.
We have been looking at the three major power gifts of the Spirit. The very gifts that helps us to tap into the omni potency of God as His gods on the face of the earth.
People do not really realize that the Holy Spirit was given to us to set our lives in order and restore us back to our gods- nature. If they do, none will be using olive oil for anything. They will drop all shadows and press into the substance, which is Christ.
God originally created us to be omniscience and omnipotent like Him, but in a very small version. However, that version was lost in the Garden to sin, and it has affected us so much as mankind. It made us vulnerable to all evil from the gates of hell. We began to even die like mere men.
The Bible says;
I said, “You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High. But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.” Psalm 82:6-7 NKJV
God does not want us to keep dying like mere men and falling like the princes of darkness that the LORD commanded Arch angel Michael to push down. Jesus said, “I saw Satan fall like lightening from Heaven.” God does not want us to be falling like he did when he was casted out of Heaven.
When he fell the Bible says he descended into hell, and a woe accompanied him. The word woe mean judgment. God’s judgment followed him when he fell.
Sadly, many have been falling that way into the portals of hell and experiencing the very judgment of Satan, and God wants that to stop. And it can only stop if we get back to our divine nature which can only be made possible by His divine power – the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our devotional text says;

FROM THIS SCRIPTURE IT IS CLEAR THAT AFTER GIVING OUR LIVES TO CHRIST, WE SHOULD FOCUS ON POSSESSING THE DIVINE NATURE.
We should focus on the things that pertain to life and godliness by going after the knowledge of God. One of those things is being gods of the Most High God. It is when we partake of the divine nature through the power of the Holy Spirit that we will become gods of the Most High GOD.
The text spoke about God’s divine power. That is the power we come into after receiving the Holy Spirit. It is partly the power we walk in when operating the power gifts of the Spirit. The power gifts, as shared yesterday, are what enables us to tap into God’s omni potency. They are: (1) The Gift of Faith. (2). The Gift of Healing. (3). The Gift of the working of Miracles.
When you operate in these gifts, you will never fall like one of the princes. If you yield yourself to the Holy Spirit and He begin to work these mighty gifts in your life, you will be placed beyond the reach of natural limits. You will swim in the realm of limitless possibilities; the very realm God wants us all to come into.
Child of God, like our devotional text puts it, there are many precious promises in God’s word for us. They span from the blissful and blessed things in God’s word that are meant for us in time, to the ones that are meant for us in eternity.
The Bible says;
“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 KJV
The Spirit does not just reveal them to us, the Spirit brings us into them.
Now, His power gifts are some of the precious things God has prepared for those who will love Him enough to be intimate with His Holy Spirit.
THE LAST CATEGORY OF THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT IS THE VOCAL GIFTS.
The God who created us to be His gods on earth also wants to restore back the ability to speak as gods on the face of the earth. That is the purpose of the vocal gifts of the Spirit.
Again, the Bible says;
“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,
to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.” 1 Corinthians 12:7-11 NKJV
As we can see in this scripture, the three vocal gifts of the Spirit are: (1) The Gift of Prophecy (2) The gift of different kinds of tongues and (3) The gift of interpretation of tongues.
The gifts of prophecy is different from the spirit of prophecy, the mantle of a prophet or the office. The gift of prophecy can be possessed by one in the office of a prophet but unlike the office of a prophet, the gift of prophecy is for all believers.
The spirit of prophecy on the other hand, is what helps the gift of prophecy not to be hijacked. It helps it to be released according to divine order. Now, if the gift of prophecy is operational in your life, that does not make you a prophet or prophetess. It only makes you a god of the Most High GOD, and that should humble you.
The gift of prophecy is a special ability from the Holy Spirit to speak forth the message of GOD. It is a miraculous act of intelligent communication rooted in divine revelation and empowerment. There is so much about this gift that we cannot state here.
The gift of different kinds of tongues, the second vocal gift of the Spirit, is a special ability from the Holy Spirit to speak fluently a language you did not learn or do not even know exist somewhere. Sometimes, it manifests as knowing what people are saying in their languages supernaturally without being able to speak the language.
There are three types of languages in God’s kingdom. Languages are called tongues. We have the tongue of men, we have the tongue of angels, and we have the tongue of God. When the Holy Spirit empowers one to operate this gift, he or she can speak supernaturally the language of men he or she have not learned, or that of angels or that of God, depending on what the Holy Spirit wants to accomplish.
The gift of interpretation of tongues, the third vocal gift of the Spirit, is a special ability of the Holy Spirit to interpret the language of men without learning it, or the language of angels. This gift also helps us to interpret the language of God.
It is the gifts that will help you in accurate dream interpretation. That was what came upon Daniel that made it possible for him to interpret the King’s dream. It is a major vocal gift of the Spirit.

If I am to give an apostolic summary of all the gifts of the Spirit, and how they help us to get back to our divine nature, I will say, the Revelatory gifts the Spirit helps us TO SEE like gods, the power gifts of the Spirit help us TO ACT like gods, and the vocal gifts of the Spirit helps us TO SPEAK like gods. And we do not operate them at our own will, no! They are operated according to the will of the Holy Spirit.
May the LORD use these truths to keep building you up and giving you an inheritance among they that are sanctified.

Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, “The secret which the king has demanded, the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, and the soothsayers cannot declare to the king.
But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed, were these:
As for you, O king, thoughts came to your mind while on your bed, about what would come to pass after this; and He who reveals secrets has made known to you what will be.
But as for me, this secret has not been revealed to me because I have more wisdom than anyone living, but for our sakes who make known the interpretation to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your heart.” Daniel 2:27-30 NKJV
