THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (Sunday 16TH August 2020)

“And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you; that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” Luke 22:31-32 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 227TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF REJOICING

We bless the LORD our God, creator of heaven and earth for bringing us again to the beginning of another week in this special month of Wings of the Spirit. We also appreciate Him for keeping us alive all through even as we begin the third circle of our 50 days journey.

It has been one of the most eventful seasons of my life. I have been having fearful and terrific visions also of the collapse of big planes, with people scattering all over with no direction. These things have bothered me so much because planes represent so many things in the prophetic. It could also be revelations of literal things that are about happening in the airspace.

Very fearful things may be on the offing. But I also know moves of GOD are also cooking. Because there are some of the visions that I saw power lines and thunders sparking. Power lines represents moves of GOD. No mater what lies ahead, God will reveal Himself.

We are also in seasons of great shaking. I remember prophesying about them sometimes last year. I do not know about you child of God, but I feel something is about happening.

THE PROPHETIC SENSATIONS AROUND MY SPIRIT ARE A MIXTURE OF PLEASANT AND UNPLEASANT ALARMS.

My confidence is, no matter what may be lying in the prophetic future, Jesus has prayed for us already, His will is what will stand, and there will be sufficient grace. He will sustain our faith and keep us on the wings of His Spirit.

When Jesus gazed into the prophetic future of Peter, and saw that he would be shifted like wheat, He prayed for Him that his faith would not fail. I believe the prayer still covers every of His child today. Our faith and that of every other Child of God out there, will remain intact, irrespective of what may happen. And we will not deny the LORD!

I grew up to discover that faith is paramount to the sustenance of the righteous.

Your health may fail, but if your faith did not fail along with your health, it will not be long, your health will be restored. Your business, marriage, or ministry may be going through some turbulence, but if your faith remains intact, it will not be long, calm will be restored.

Without faith, it is not just impossible to please God, but impossible to survive a chaotic world that hate anything godly. It is impossible to experience life storms and come out well. That is why if everything else fail around us, God will make sure our faith remains intact.

Faith is what keeps the righteous rising back seven times from his fall. It is a spiritual recovery gadget in the Kingdom.

God may allow the devil to do whatever He wants to do but will keep your faith intact, so you can bounce back, even stronger than before. It is your faith that will keep you through a bad marriage, a bad business, a dying relationship, a trying period, a spiritual warfare, and whatever life throws at you.

No matter what fails, if our faith did not fail, there will be restoration. We will never go down! Your kidneys may fail. If your faith did not fail, you will end well. Your heart may faith, but if your faith did not fail, you will remain in the love of God.

WHATEVER FAILS IN OR AROUND YOU, JUST MAKE SURE YOUR FAITH REMAINS.

When money failed in Egypt, it was the FAITH of Joseph that kept the entire nation going. The faith of one man kept an entire nation from sinking, if they will listen to him. If one man’s faith can keep an entire nation, it means one man’s faith can preserve an entire family.

Whenever things become critical, God do not look for people to fix them, He looks for ONE MAN with the required faith to fix them.

When it comes to the power of our faith in the word and power of the LORD, there are no words to describe the full potentials that can be unleashed. The story for the old Testament Saint, Job comes to mind here. I do not think many Christians have really faced what job faced in his days.

So many things hit him in one day and brought his life to rubles.

But everything flew away in one moment, God made sure his faith remained intact. Even when his wife persuaded him to curse God and die, and his friends came blaming a perceive secret sin for his predicament, Job refused to neither sin with his lips or kill his faith in God.

He responded to them by saying, “Even if He slay men, yet I will trust Him.” This was amazing. Very uncommon kind of faith. I do not think you can find this type today, except among very few remnants. Friend, that is the kind of faith that is required today – faith that is unconditionally committed to God and His course.

Jesus wondered if He would find this faith when He will be returning to the earth a second time. His statement tells us the kind of trouble times the saints of the end time will go through. Times that will require the Job kind of faith to survive. Sadly, as earlier stated, this faith is near extinct. It is just in very few Christians today.

Somebody will give an offering and if he did not see an immediate response from God, he or she will quits the Church – not a synagogue of Satan but a true gate of Zion Jesus is building and leading in Righteousness and Truth.

PEOPLE ARE NO LONGER CARRYING THE GENUINE LOVE FOR GOD AT HEART

Somebody will be promised a husband or wife by God and if he or she did not see it come to pass, she quits serving God and start serving other gods, mostly the sex goddess.

Somebody will be looking for a job and praying earnestly for it, and if it did not come after a year or two he or she will be found on the laps of a woman with all the money he needs to survive splashing on him.

We live in a fast-food generation that serves God so conditionally that even the devil is wondering. Our faith is not resolute, unconditional, and firm. It is based on promises, hence making us victims of con men and women called preachers, who promise us things they know will never happen.

If we will survive these last days that are upon us, we must go deeper in God to anchor our souls in unconditional faith.

This morning God is calling you to come up higher in your walk with Him. He is urging you to go deeper in your faith and commitment. He wants you to be persistent in following what is true – even if it is not working.

We live in a Church generation that follows what is working and not what is true. We forget that what is working but not true will destroy tomorrow, but what is true but not working will significantly bless us tomorrow.

I pray that as you begin this fresh week with the LORD, you will take a closer look at your faith. You will submit to God in prayer and word study, to feed and strengthens it, using this devotional truth as a catalyst. Also do not forget to join us on our 50 days Wings of the Spirit. We have already covered 15 days.

LET THIS SCRIPTURAL PARABLE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man.

Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’

And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.'”

Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?

I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:1-8 NKJV
