TODAY’S DEVOTION (Saturday 29TH August 2020)
“Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,” 1 Peter 1:22-23 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 240TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF REJOICING
We bless God, creator of Heaven and earth for bringing us into another glorious day. It is our month of purifying ourselves by obeying the truth, that is why the LORD has poured, and is still pouring, so much truth to into us through the 50 Days Wings of the Spirit, and this platform. Truths that if obeyed, are bound to make us holy and without blemish.
The words of truth and righteousness, are the only set of words that can cleanse, purify, and make us wise. The Bible says, “wisdom makes a man’s face to shine.”
The word face is a reference to the countenance of a man. Wisdom brightens up a man’s face and heart. However, the wisdom that does that is not demonic or human wisdom, but the wisdom from above.
Now, if it has not been polluted, human wisdom is not totally wrong. But can be extremely limited and powerless in handling problems. That is why divine wisdom is supreme. People who do not make room for it will always be found in the perils of life!
The Christian Life is so designed that if we are not told the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about whatever concerns it, we will be torn into shreds by the enemy of our souls. Heavenly wisdom mined from living truths from the Holy Scripture, is what a Christian life needs to be all that God designed it to be.
In our devotional today, I feel strong to share a truth that will help us, if we submit to the LORD.
When error, half-truths or outright lies form our belief system as Christians, we will not last in the faith that was delivered to our Fathers. We will slip into another kind of Christianity, following another lord, and submitting to another spirit that masquerades as the Holy Spirit.
THAT IS WHY THE WHOLE COUNSEL OF GOD IS SO IMPORTANT.
Obeying truths mined from the whole counsel of GOD is what brings beauty and wholeness to the souls of men. It brings a purification of the soul. I urge you to make obedience to truths, mined from the whole counsel of GOD, your main concern. Do not make voices from perceived God out there, your main concern. You will be sorry of you do.
I have never seen people who follow voices they claim are from a God none of them know become better. But I have seen countless of lives changed by obeying truths mined from the whole counsel of GOD. I urge you to follow the example of those who obey truths mined from the whole counsel of God, and not voices.
Most of what these voice followers say God said to them, are either Biblical baseless, half-truths, or outright lies from the pit of hell altogether.
In fact, when you meet them, the first thing you will sense is a demonic presence, and since they or those they speak to, do not know how demonic presence feels like, they take their so called prophetic words as divine.
Unclean and lying spirits have been unleashed on so many Christians, giving them a false prophetic hearing that is sometimes accurate but not true. The worst part is the pride that oozes out of these Christians; a demonic pride that will not let them humble themselves and be free!
The LORD began to show me something about this sad spiritual development.
I begin to see that what has increase the plague of false prophetic hearing today is the spirit of offense and bitterness in so many hearts. The LORD began to show me things about this spirit and its interference with our faith that I cannot exhaust in this devotional.
Our devotional text said,
“And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many”.
DO YOU SEE THE CONNECTION BETWEEN OFFENCE, BETRAYAL, HATE AND THE RISE OF FALSE PROPHETS?
God began to show me that offence, feelings of betrayal, and hate has a way of attracting lying spirits to the souls of believers. When these lying spirits come, they will begin to speak as God to them giving birth to a false prophetic hearing.
That is why God instructed us strongly through Isaiah to shake off the dust of offence, feelings of betrayal, and hate from our spirits and souls. Sometimes these feelings leave our souls and go to dwell deeply in our spirits, attracting all kinds of lying prophetic spirits to us and making it impossible for us to even know the feelings are still there.
Most of those I have seen operating in the accurate but false and untrue prophetic hearing system, are people who have been severely hurt in life. Intercessors whose wives or husbands treated so badly that they could not hold it any longer.
I have also seen people severely hurt in life operating in this false realm. They never sat down where truth is taught, the never had the opportunity of hearing and obeying the word so they can sanctify their souls. Our devotional text says,

If they had sat down under the heart of living truths. Hear and obey them, they would not have been in such a spiritual state. But they jumped into the so call prophetic ministry with the pain of betrayal and the bitterness of the offence committed against them still lies deeply in their hearts.
Have you wondered why those who follow prophetic words from so called prophets and prophetess do not lead a holy life? You can not purify your soul obeying instructions from Prophets who have become wind, you do so by following truths mined from the stones of the whole counsel of the LORD in the holy scriptures.
One major power of sanctifying truths is the ability to create in us a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within us, and that is especially important. People who obey these men and women with a polluted prophetic anointing ends up becoming sons of hell. They end up becoming hardened at heart to the one and only true God.
Satan will give you a polluted and harden heart to bury you. Do not forget that, and do not mix it up.
If God want to give you a new life, He does not send money into your pocket, He sends sanctifying truths into your heart to give you a new heart and a new spirit. With a new heart and a new spirit, you can have a new life. The seed that makes a new life possible is a new heart and a new spirit.
You must understand the power of a new heart, if you want a fresh and beautiful life, and seek it by encountering truths with the aim of obeying them. Yes, that is what you must do to experience restoration, healing, prosperity, understand what you are here on earth for, and reach out to pursue it with all your heart.
It is my prayers that God will use this, to build you up and give you an inheritance among they that are sanctified.
