TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL Monday 8th March 2021)
“Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son.
Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. He could bring about no change of mind, though he sought the blessing with tears.” Hebrews 12:14-17 NIV
WELCOME TO THE 67th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS!
Today we begin a great journey in our walk with God through the Morning Cloud Television. This will be another trip into the word of the LORD called SCHOOL OF ETERNAL LIFE. The Spirit of prophecy will be available to speak to us.
Yes, we will experience the testimony of Jesus Christ concerning some other matters of our faith. This journey is to mark my 21 years since commissioned into ministry.
In the system I grew up in, you must be in ministry for some years before commissioning take place. They use that to prove your calling. It was a great system that helps to detect those with no calling and encourage them to go back to any other thing. That was why in those days you could not find a charlatan or one with a false calling.
Today someone will claim a call and some with even no ounce of auction to show, they will just be given churches or responsibilities to carry out. There is no true system to check them out. That’s is why we have so many prophesying who GOD has not sent.
The Bible,
“I did not send these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied.
But if they had stood in my council, they would have proclaimed my words to my people and would have turned them from their evil ways and from their evil deeds.” Jeremiah 23:21-22 NIV
Until you are called, tested and approved of God you will not be able to stand in His council or turn people from their evil ways. You will only be making money out of their predicament and counting giving as the highest form of worship. The greatest spiritual plague are preachers with no true mantle of a divine call.
This morning God has a word for us! To start with, let me ask, what is life without the breath of the almighty? What is economic power without money and sound health to match? What is Christianity without Character? What is born again without the Spirit and Power of God in your life?
The word “without” is one of the most important words in English Language. Your life is what it is right now because it is without something or someone. Maybe God, His Holy Spirit, a good Church, sound doctrine, a husband, wife, or other important things of life!
The word “Without” tells us what to or what not to pursue. Words are keys in the spirit. They unlock revelations from the Holy Spirit, and revelations in-turn grants us access to God’s treasures, especially when properly understood. In other words, WORDS are keys. The word without can be a key to so many things in God.
Each time God places a word in your spirit, He wants to begin a communication with you. So this morning I feel led in my spirit to consider the word “without.”
THE FIRST “WITHOUT” I WANT US TO LOOK INTO IS FOUND IN OUR DEVOTIONAL TEXT.
It says,
“Without Holiness no eye shall see the LORD!” (Hebrew 12:14)
So if you claim born again, sing in choir, preach the gospel, open churches, lead people in songs or prayers, speak in what you call a tongue, support the Church and take care of the poor, but there is no Holiness in your life, you will never see God.
Holiness is the key to making Heaven and living a glorious Christian life on earth.
Do you want to see God breaking into your life these critical seasons? Do you want to see God breaking into the camp of your enemies? Do you really want to see God bring amazing blessings into your life? Walk in Holiness!
One day I heard a preacher on one of the Radio Stations in Nairobi Kenya saying when he was walking in Holiness he was poor. He said holiness does not bring money. Like they say, the apostles must have turned in their graves when this man made the statement.
Holiness does not bring economic fatness? Tell that to the dogs. The Bible says;
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs 14:34 NKJV
The greatest exalter of kingdom citizens is a Holy life!
Holiness exalts an economic life but sin is always a reproach to it! It was when Solomon was on the mountains of God’s holiness that God exalted Him financially above all kings that ever lived and will ever live. It was not when he was in the valley of sin. His peace and prosperity diminished when he departed from the mountains of holiness.
The Bible says;
“But King Solomon loved many foreign women, as well as the daughter of Pharaoh: women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites —
from the nations of whom the Lord had said to the children of Israel, “You shall not intermarry with them, nor they with you. Surely they will turn away your hearts after their gods.” Solomon clung to these in love.” 1 Kings 11:1-3 NKJV
WHEN HOLINESS COMES IN, THE POWER TO GET WEALTH WILL BECOME ACTIVE!
Come to think of it, what kind of holiness did that pastor say brings poverty? I wonder the kind he was talking about. The Bible says
“Godliness with contentment is great gain” (1 Timothy 6:6).
God’s holiness will turn you away from the prosperity of hell and bring you into the prosperity of the righteous; it will bring you steadily into economic, might my friend.
I have seen God’s Holiness in my life supply my needs for over 20 years of ministry. If you did away with Holiness before coming into prosperity like that preacher claimed, you have just been blessed by hell for walking away from God, like it happened to Cain in Genesis 4.
True Holiness does not bring poverty because holiness is a department or constituency of God’s glory and wherever the glory of God dwells economic fatness develops. You may be poor under the anointing but you cannot be poor under the glory!
Any Holiness that brings poverty is a form of godliness that has no power. It is not really from God. It is manufactured by the person who walks in it. It is usually the holiness of the Pharisees and Sadducees that strips, not that of GOD that beautifies.
Righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to any people.
The Poverty of the righteous is caused by sin most times because God will not bless you in sin! Purity is connected to prosperity. It is the place where God stores the power to get wealth! The prosperity of the righteous is intricately connected to their purity. The prosperity of the righteous is usually made possible by our purity and spiritual progress in Christ. The Bible says God will prosper us as our soul prospers in Him.
The next “without” I want us to look into this morning is not in our devotional text. It says
“without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrew 11:6).
There are two kinds of faith; natural faith and supernatural faith. Natural faith is what convinces you to lie on your bed believing it will not collapse and have you on the floor.
IT IS NATURAL FAITH THAT MAKES YOU WORK FOR AN ORGANIZATION BELIEVING IT WILL PAY YOU AT THE END OF THE MONTH.
Natural faith is what we call trust some times. It is also a tool for serving God! However, natural faith takes care of natural things alone. It does not take care of supernatural things.
When it comes to supernatural things like receiving healing, divine prosperity, divine revelation, answering a call of God upon your life, and etc. in the now, you need to go beyond the plane of natural faith. You cannot relate with God in the now using natural faith. You need supernatural faith; and it comes by hearing the word or seeing the visions of the LORD in an immediate present.
Supernatural faith comes from the Holy Spirit, and that is what plugs us into all treasures of God’s Kingdom, power, and glory. It is a launching pad into all things that we need from God. The Bible says,
“by it the Elders obtained a good report (Hebrew 11:2).”
If there is no good report in your life right now, it means you have not being walking in supernatural faith. Take your eyes off your needs and submit yourself to God for a fresh breath of faith this morning. You need this fresh breath to step into things supernatural.
You see, as we move closer and closer to the consummation, things will get worst. If therefore, we do not move from faith to faith, we will be sorry. You are either moving from faith to faith as a Child of God, or from fall to fall resulting in filth to filth and eventually sorrow to sorrow. There is no middle ground.
As soon as you come into Christ, if you are not progressing in your walk and talk with Him, you are diminishing.
The last “without” I want us to look into this morning is coined out by me. It says, “Without fellowshipping with God you will never walk in Holiness or Faith” I guess that lines up with scripture. Of course it does, I’m just kidding!
God is making it clear to us this morning that if we will see a glorious life in this critical season that is upon us, we must learn to walk in Holiness and Faith. However, no one can be Holy by himself. The Bible says,
“There is no one righteous (holy), no not one. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:10, 23).
Our only hope is to plug back to God and receive downloads of His Holiness and faith into our lives. And that only happens through consistent fellowship with His Holy Spirit and word.
That is why you must take the journey the SCHOOL OF ETERNAL LIFE that is starting today on the Morning Cloud Television seriously. Use it to build another level of intimacy with the LORD and come to the place of receiving downloads of Holiness and Faith from Him from time to time.
We live in a corrupt world and sin is living in us. Sometimes we fall into the sin living in us so badly and bring the name of the LORD to disrepute, and God does not want that to continue hence the downloads. If we receive these spiritual downloads, it will help us walk in righteousness and led a Holy Life in a filthy world.
As you pass through this day, and the rest of the month, make fellowship your watch word!
Build a life of intimacy with God. That was what the early Church did and the world is yet to recover from the effect of such powerful living. Start giving yourself entirely to prayers and the ministry of the word and your life will take a new turn of Holiness and faith. You won’t fail in Jesus precious name. Amen
