TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Friday 26TH March 2021)
“When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language, Judah became His sanctuary, and Israel His dominion. The sea saw it and fled; Jordan turned back. The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like lambs.
What ails you, O sea, that you fled? O Jordan, that you turned back? O mountains, that you skipped like rams? O little hills, like lambs?
Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, Who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters. Psalms 114:1-8 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 85TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS!
The zeal of the LORD for us has been unquestionable. For every moment spent so far this year, we have received understanding from the fountain of the Holy Spirit, time and time again. Many have become spiritually discreet in handling the affairs of lives.
I would have shared some testimonies at this point but we will leave all that for another time.
God is indeed faithful! Each time He request that His people sit at His feet to learn it is to enhance their walk and talk with Him. Indeed “There is no problem anywhere. Every man’s ignorance is his problem.” I grew up in life and ministry hearing preachers say that. That should tell us what we should spend our lives doing as Children of God – damaging the ignorance of God in us.
Yes, Children of God should spend their lives damaging the ignorance of God in them. We should spend our earthly days launching an all-out attack against spiritual illiteracy and ignorance of the things of GOD.
Bible prophecies made it clear that when we get to heaven we are going to spend eternity knowing God. So pursuing the knowledge of God daily on this side of eternity is simply a rehearsal of what we will be doing when we get there. Hallelujah!
The revelation of who God is cannot be exhausted. There are realms that even angels do not know. Heights, lengths and depths of revelations of who God is that are reserved for only Sons to know, inexhaustible realms of knowledge.
IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE THAT, HERE IS WHAT PAUL SAID;
“But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 NKJV
These deep things are not known to angles because they reside in the inner most being of God; depths, heights and lengths that only His Spirit knows. The very things the Bible says the Spirit searches to make known to us. If they were just lying on the surface of God then there would have been no need for searching. Angels would have just picked them. But they are in the depths of who He is!
Apostle Paul further revealed the presence of these widths, lengths, depths and heights of revelation when he wrote saying;
“That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height —
to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17-19 NKJV
God has widths, depths, lengths, and heights of revelations that our mortal brains cannot comprehend. Until we step back to full immortality it will be impossible to get there.
However, there are some that our mortal brains can comprehend on this side of eternity by the help of the Holy Spirit and the Bible. It is that portion that God wants everyone of His Child to come into.
Sadly, many have not. They rather sit with their pseudo pastors to learn more about the devil in the guise of “not being ignorant of his devices” thereby filling themselves with unnecessary warfare. Friend, God wants us to be filled with the fullness of Him. And that will not happen if the revelation of who He is remains unknown.
In Church today, many worship a God they do not know and relate with a Jesus they have not truly met – Hence, offering polluted worship. So many do not have the intimate knowledge of God. That is why many of us are not filled with the fullness of God. We are rather filled with the fullness of the works of the devil.
ACTUALLY 85 PERCENT OF THOSE WE CALL CHRISTIANS ARE NOT FILLED WITH THE FULLNESS OF GOD.
The very essence of salvation is that man be filled with the fullness of GOD. If your salvation has not achieved this in your life, you have a long way to God. You may need to get out of that Church you are worshiping in and let God give you a new One because you are being shortchanged.
If you are not filled with the fullness of God as His child, you will be filled with the fullness of other things because there is no middle ground.
The root cause of our problems therefore, as I have always said, is not evil altars in our village, evil foundations or curses. Neither is it even lack of sowing seeds. The root cause of our problems is having just a foretaste of God and lacking His fullness in our lives.
God wants a people who will carry Him on their inside (the way Adam did before the fall) on the face of the earth. That is the Only way we can deal with our problems, advance His blessed will and convert the Kingdoms of this world into that of God and of His Christ!
There are no words to describe what your life will become if you carry God on your inside.
A people who will press into scriptural revelations until they are filled with the fullness of God will illuminate the earth wherever they dwell. That was how Jesus illuminated the earth with the mercy, goodness, righteousness, power and Kingdom of God when He was physically here with mankind. The Bible says;
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” Acts 10:38 NKJV
When you are filled with the fullness of God there will be no place in your life for the devil to touch. Just as no animal can go close to a burning furnace so will it be impossible for devils to come close your life. The reason is simple; you will be like a burning furnace in the spirit realm.
To be filled with the fullness of God is the surest way to obtain deliverance from any work of the devil and become a terror to hell, death and grave. If we are filled with His fullness we will be transformed into a small GOD on the face of the earth (I don’t mean other gods but Deputy God on the face of the earth). We will indeed become His deputy on earth the apostles were giving Him pleasure wherever we turn.
IT’S A NEW DAY IN SOMEONE’ WALK AND TALK WITH GOD.
Let your spiritual goal for the month be the fullness of God. Be driven by a passion to get the fullness of God and stay with it at all times! In the Cry of the Spirit, we have decided to make our services this season services for seeking the fullness of God!
Our devotional text this morning tells us what really happened to Israel when they came out of Egypt.
It tells us why the sea parted and every devil on their way cleared. God literally sat on them and all the wonders began to happen. The Bible says they were His sanctuary and the sea saw it and fled. A major highlight of the text says,
“When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language, Judah became His sanctuary, and Israel His dominion.
The sea saw it and fled; Jordan turned back.” Psalms 114:1-3 NKJV
Friend, Satan and all you may be going through may have heard your prayers, but that will never move them until they see the fullness of God in your life. If God fills your life with His fullness and they see it, they will flee and you will begin to have your peace even without praying for it.
There is a generation that cast out demons by shouting at them and there is a generation that does same just by their presence.
That is the generation God wants you to become part of – a generation that cast them out by presence and just a whisper. You must make up your mind to be schooled in the things of GOD until He gets you filled with His fullness. That is the message of today’s devotional and should be your spiritual focus for the month.
In a perverse and crooked generation like ours, in a world under the threat of nuclear weapons in the physical and fresh portals from hell in the spiritual, we must wake up to understand that we can never be safe until we are filled with the fullness of God!
