TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Tuesday 11th May 2021)
“Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.” So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?”
And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him. The place in the Scripture which he read was this: “He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and as a lamb before its shearer is silent, so He opened not His mouth.
In His humiliation His justice was taken away, and who will declare His generation? For His life is taken from the earth.”
So the eunuch answered Philip and said, “I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?”
Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him. Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?”
Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”
So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing.” Acts 8:29-39 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 131ST DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS!
We give glory to God for another day that He has given. Day unto day we move closer and closer to the end of times, and the beginning of a thousand years that will lead us into life in a timeless zone called eternity.
Bible prophecy made it clear that the things we see today; we will see them no more. That is why it is not ideal to get an entire life hooked up to the mundane and the earthly. There are people whose life vision is the earth not the life to come. It’s either they do not believe in it or are ignorant of it.
People like Bill Gates and other wealthy people of the earth, do not believe that there will be a New Heaven and New earth where righteousness dwells that is why you see them pursuing the earth instead of the eternal. I remember a preacher who glorified God for having a five-hour audience with Bill Gates. He felt so great that I was ashamed. Today He is late!
Five-Hour with Bill Gates talking about the earth? You did not tell him that there is life after this life and that eternity is on its way? You did not tell him of the New Heaven and the New earth where righteousness dwells?
It is so sad that when God bring this great people who are speeding to hell to His servants to reap them into the kingdom or to just be His witness to them, we either take it to be a money making opportunity or an opportunity to increase our social wealth.
WE BEGIN TO FEEL SO PRIVILEGED TO SIT BY THEIR SIDE. WE FORGET OUR HEAVENLY CALLINGS THAT MOMENT.
Who just feel privileged? It is the so call rich man that should feel privileged sitting with an Elijah or Elisha. Yes, it is him or her that should feel privileged sitting with a Paul or Peter of the present day. Its should not be the other way round.
I guess because of these things no one has told them anything about eternal life, the coming kingdom of God, and the nee Heaven and the New earth. Maybe many of them would have been saved by now. People like Bill Gates would have ceased financing the agenda of the antichrist and start doing the word of the LORD.
Sadly, they are being prepared to fall among the category of the great that will stand before the great white Throne judgment. The Bible says;
“Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before [c]God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.
The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.
Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:11-15 NKJV
This scripture that we just read now, is going to happen literally on earth after the one thousand millennium rein of Christ. Can you imagine that.
Yes, there are people who know nothing about it; sadly, even in Church. They do not know anything about it because the pastors tell them things that has nothing to do with eternal life. They preach evil altars, evil foundations, monitoring spirit, raising of altar of sacrifices, receiving this miracle of that blessing form God.
They tell them how they gave this money and got that miracle and all that, leaving the people bankrupt of Bible truths and ignorant of things that are just ahead of us. They preach the gospel of materialism and all things that make people smile to the bank, and we love to have it so.
FRIEND, YOU DO NOT KNOW THE ETERNAL HARM YOU DO TO YOURSELF BY ATTENDING SUCH CHURCHES!
If you understand Bible Prophecy, and the things that are ahead of mankind, you will change your priorities in life and begin to channel your energy to a different direction.
If people like Bill Gates and the rest come to the knowledge of Bible Prophecy and the things that are ahead of mankind, they will cease being who they are today. They will either become great preachers or financiers of authentic gospel ministries; ministries that are making men know these things.
Like I said earlier, I believe God have sent His servants to these men, but they got there and forgot there mandates on earth. They got there and begin to seek other things, took photos with them and came back glorifying God for making them meet Bill Gates. This is different from what Philip the Evangelist did in his days.
God sent him to one of the Bill Gates of that day and he did not do what we do today. He got there and reaped the man into the kingdom. Sadly, when Heavenly greatness do not know how to behave before earthly greatness, the destroy the redemptive plan of God for the earthly great. But not Philip; he knew what to do.
A MAJOR HIGHLIGHT IN OUR DEVOTIONAL TEXT SAYS,

What Philip did in this scripture tells us what we should do when God brings us in contact with the great of the earth.
He did not take a photograph and place it in a place that everyone should see or return to the Church in Jerusalem or Samaria to Testify how God took him by the Spirit to meet of the Bill Gates of that day. He did his job and went away by the Spirit to the next job on the line of duty.
But wait a minute; we could blame the preacher who did not say anything about eternity to Bill Gates, according to his words, when he met him. But how about you and I? What do we usually think when we meet even the small rich guys around us?
Many of us do think of how they can help us financially or give us this connection or that connection. We put our need ahead of their need for God. That is a shame.
The jobless will think about getting a job, the one in debt will say, “this is the day the LORD has made…” and begin to make request for this help or the other help. In fact, they will make them God and literally begin to pray to them for help. They will begin to define themselves by their needs instead of their God who made that happen, and forget the most important things to do.
Philip before the Ethiopian Eunuch, Paul before Agrippa, the proconsul, and all other great people he witnessed to, remains our pattern for dealing with the great of the earth. They did not see it as social wealth creation opportunity. They preached Christ to them.
God will always send the great of Heaven who may not even have food to eat, to the great of the earth, who has everything. The great of Heaven, should never define himself or herself by his or her need. We should define ourselves by our God. People may call it pride, but it’s not. It’s just a good sense of self-esteem.
We should never think God sent us to great of privileged people to change our status or increase our social wealth. God has a rescue plan for every human being on earth, great and small. When he sends us to the great, it is part of His rescue plan for them.
He does not want the great of the earth to stand before the Great White Throne Judgment. He wants them saved form eternal judgment.
LET ME WRAP THIS UP WITH A PROPHETIC ALARM.
In light of the execution of the great commission, I want you to understand that every season of life has its own set of courses from God. Remember, the mandate is to make everyone on earth a student of Christ, including the likes of Bill Gates.
The Church of the present times ought to be preaching, teaching and prophesying by Revelation from this set of courses in the school of the Spirit, so long as our own times and season are concern. The Sons of Issachar should understand this.
There is a lot of preaching that has nothing to do with our seasons. They sound inspiring to the ears, but are no longer needed, so long as our times and seasons are concerned.
When I got saved as a child, the book of revelation was the first book I read as a Christian. It was my curriculum, and still is today. I discover that if we preachers will preach from it today; we will save a lot of people from eternal damnation.
But obviously, preaching from it will eliminate our money making systems, because people will change their priorities in life as a result. Yes, they will get their prophetic sanity restored and will no longer be fooled.
But come to think of it, how many of us preachers know about the book of Revelation? Very few. We all run away from it and keep the world in the dark of the things that are about to happen.
If there is any message to preach this end times, it is messages rooted in Bible prophecies.
These are season to wake up our prophetic consciousness of the end, and walk perfectly in it. If anyone will not do it for you, please do it for yourself.
One of the things that destroyed the generation of Noah was the messages that were preached to counter what he was preaching. The messages kept the people in prophetic ignorance of their season. And the Bible says, “they did not know, until the flood came.”
The plan of the enemy remains the same; to keep our generation in a not-knowing state. You must make up your mind to fight that personally, so long as your soul is concern.
LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR YOU TODAY;
Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.
And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. Revelation 20:1-6 NKJV
