TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Tuesday 1ST June 2021)
“Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday.
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm.”
WELCOME TO THE 152ND DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS!
It’s a new month, and we want to appreciate the LORD for His mercies in our lives. He has kept us for almost half of this year. Day unto day He has been faithful to us; form the first hour of this year and now we are on the 6th month.
Maybe some of you thought you will be dead by now. But low and behold you are alive. The LORD will keep you from the reach of your enemies, in Jesus precious name. The LORD will neutralize every evil works against you in Jesus precious name.
This month shall be a blessing to you and your family in Jesus precious name.
Our devotional text this morning contain what can be likened to divine instructions form the LORD for us this month. I believe if we follow them, we will reap much more than we ever imagined. I can see five or six instructions to obey this month or counsels to follow.
The first says, “commit your way to the LORD.” One way we commit our ways to the LORD is through prayers and fasting, seeking God to establish us in His ways. People who commit their ways to the LORD will never be brought to a point in life where they commit suicide. The enemy can never accomplish that in their lives.
If you commit your ways to the LORD, the burden of worry will be taken away from you. God wants us to spend this month committing our ways to Him.
THE NEXT WORD WE GET FROM OUR DEVOTIONAL SAYS, “TRUST ALSO IN HIM.” YOU CANNOT COMMIT YOUR WAY TO SOMEONE YOU DO NOT TRUST.
When we trust God, it takes care of our fears and anxieties. Spend each day of this month trusting God. Trust Him for your life, trust Him for divine health of healing. Trust Him for divine provisions. Trust Him for divine protection.
Trust Him when you are alone or with people. Just make sure you spend this month trusting God. The next instruction says, “Rest in the LORD.”
People who will not rest in the LORD may eventually find themselves resting in Peace. The days are too troubling not to rest in the LORD. To rest in the LORD will call for us resting on His promises. If you rest in His promises, you will never find your hearts resting on your problems.
Yes, no heart that rest on God’s promises can ever be found resting on the issue of life. If our hearts rest on God’s promises, we will not find ourselves worrying. Jacob spent 20 years in Laban’s house resting on God’s promises. He trusted God all through his stay there and came back with wealth. God so not leave people who rest on His promises poor.
A poor man who truths God is better than a rich man who trust in his riches. The reason is simple. One day the poor man will become rich and the rich man poor. The spirit realm respects people who rest in God’s promises.
Let is spend this month resting in God’s promises.
The next word in our devotional says, “wait patiently for Him.”
You cannot walk with God in a haste. You will miss him like Saul did and lost the kingdom. Learn not to run ahead of God in life. Always spend the moments of this month knowing what the will, the way and the speed of the LORD is. These are days of keeping pace with the LORD.
If you wait on the LORD, and do so patiently, you will see yourself fulfilling other words in the devotional text. The Bible says,
“Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm.”
This is not a month to fret or freak-out because of evil doers. They will keep doing evil until their time of judgment.
The Bible says if we fret because of them, it will cause us harm. The next instructions say we should not fret because of evil doers, we should cease form anger and forsake wrath. Again, the word says, if we do not follow the simple instruction, it will cause us harm.
THAT IS HUGE. MEANING, WE MUST BE CAREFUL!
I pray the LORD perfect his plans for our lives this month in Jesus precious name!
We have been looking excerpts from our book “OVERCOMING WITCHCRAFT BY THE GREATNESS OF GOD’S POWER” It has been a season of revelation for so many of those who have been following the devotionals. It is my prayer that as we continue with that discourse this morning, you will find something eternal to put in your life. Amen and amen.
THE TEXT
Then God said,
“Let Us make man in our image, according to our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:26-27 NKJV
The third strong reason for the execution of God’s judgment on witchcraft activities is hidden in the revelation of its negative consequences on God’s eternal plans for mankind.
Many of us do not know that witchcraft is the total destruction or complete counterfeiting of God’s eternal plans for mankind. That is why Heaven moves against it each time we seek God.
One of the hidden agenda of Satan is to be like God. He wants to do all that God does. Witchcraft is his own way of trying to be like God. And I will show you what I mean. Let go through some aspects of God’s plans for mankind and see how the enemy is duplicating that plan through witchcraft.
(1). GOD CREATED MAN TO OUTSOURCE HEAVEN TO THE EARTH:
In the beginning mankind lived like a small “G” (God) on the face of the earth. He was God’s regent and was supernatural – spirit, soul and body. He was the small version of God’s omnipotent nature. He was also omniscience in a small version.
While he could not be everywhere at the same time like God, he could be anywhere in a speed that was faster than the speed of light. Witchcraft counterfeits that through astral projections and travels.
Now, man’s primary assignment was to spend his days in the glory of God Outsourcing Heaven to the earth. That he did successfully until the fall.
One of his successful assignments was the naming of the animals God created. Every name he gave corresponded with the names God used in calling them forth when he created them hence none was changed. Don’t forget Adam was not yet created when God called forth the animals. The Bible says,
“Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these things, who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, by the greatness of His might and the strength of His power; not one is missing.” Isaiah 40:26 NKJV
This scripture makes it clear that God called forth the animals by name when He created them. Though Adam was not there to hear the names, he was able to give those very names God called to the each of the animal created. In other words, he outsourced the names from Heaven to earth. Clearly, God’s eternal plan for mankind is that we live an earthly live outsourced from heaven.
Now how does witchcraft counterfeit or destroy this plan?
Witchcraft is actually the outsourcing of the demonic and satanic to earth. Just as mankind was created to outsource Heaven’s resources to earth, so are witches and wizards initiated to outsource Satan’s resources to earth.
As earlier stated, it is his own way of trying to be like God. That is why you see witches and wizards operating as supernatural beings – the negative side of how Adam operated before the fall.
God’s plans for the men and women who accepted Satan’s offer to become witches and wizards (prophetic witches and wizards inclusive) have been destroyed and how He created them to function counterfeited. That is why they will spend eternity with him in the lake of fire when time will be no more.
We can see clearly that God wipes away witchcraft to stop it from filling the earth or the lives of men with Satan’s resources. He wipes it away to stop witches and wizards from outsourcing the satanic from the kingdom of darkness to the lives of men.
(2). EMPOWERED WITH DOMINION TO OUTSOURCE HEAVEN TO THE EARTH:
The next aspect of God’s eternal plan for mankind is seen in the text of this chapter. The Bible says,
Then God said,
“Let Us make man in our image, according to our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
It would have been impossible to outsource Heaven to earth without dominion over earth. Hence God gave mankind dominion over earth and every created thing under heaven so He can be able to exercise it and make sure things be on earth as written in Heaven.
For instance, if he had no dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle and all the earth and over the creeping things that creeps on the earth there was no way he would have assemble them to be named.
Dominion was given to man as an instrument for outsourcing Heaven to earth. Concerning the naming of the animals the Bible says,
“Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.
So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.” Genesis 2:19-20 NKJV
How did God bring the animals to Adam to be named?
I believe Adam was moved by the Spirit of God to summon them, and he spoke and God summon them. You may not understand this until you understand how dominion works in the kingdom of God. God gave us a clue when He spoke through Isaiah saying,
‘Search from the book of the Lord, and read: not one of these shall fail; not one shall lack her mate. For My mouth has commanded it, and His Spirit has gathered them. Isaiah 34:16 NKJV
I am told that some untaught preachers use this scripture to manipulate the single that are facing marital delay to give them money or sleep with them to get married. It’s really sad how the Bible has become a tool in the hands of Charismatic witches and wizards called prophets and prophetesses these days.
This scripture has nothing to do with marriage.
The Saints must grow up in understanding. It speaks of the impossibility of the spoken word in the mouth of one who is in synchronicity with Heaven to lack its mate. The mate is performance not a wife or husband.
It says
“not one shall lack her mate. For My mouth has commanded it, and His Spirit has gathered them.”
MEANING ANYTHING SUCH PEOPLE SAY WILL BE PERFORMED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT WHOSE POWER THEY ARE OPERATING IN.
Now back to the clues in the scripture of how Adam administered dominion in the Garden. The mouth of the LORD in the Garden of Eden was Adam – a man in total synchronicity with Heaven. So when he spoke, the Spirit of God gathered the animals to him to be named. In other word God gathered them to him after he has spoken that they be gathered to him. That was how his God given dominion was administered.
However, dominion in the kingdom cannot be independently administered without the giver of that dominion – God. So Adam did not just independently asked God to gather the animals for naming. You see that in how the second Adam Jesus Christ operated (Actually, for those who may not know, Jesus is the second or last Adam.
The Bible says, and so it is written,
“The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 1 Corinthians 15:45 NKJV)
Now, if we look at the second Adam, we can see clearly how the first Adam lived and operated in the Garden. We can see how he administered the Dominion God gave Him.
For instance, when Jesus walked on water, that was the second Adam showing us that the First Adam never needed to swim across the rivers in the Garden of Eden whenever he needed to do something on the other side of either of the rivers. He was showing us that the first Adam will just switch on his faith and walk on water whenever he wanted to cross over to the other side of those rivers to do something there.
When He resurrected and traveled through walls during the 40 days He spent appearing to the disciples in closed rooms, He was showing us that the first Adam never needed any entrance to enter into a cave or go through a rock. He just traveled through hard objects.
