THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Sunday 27th June 2021)

“For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows [present] grace and favor and [future] glory (honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss)! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

O Lord of hosts, blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts in You [leaning and believing on You, committing all and confidently looking to You, and that without fear or misgiving]! Psalms 84:11-12 AMP

WELCOME TO THE 178TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS.

God has indeed been our shield. His mercies have been the reason we are alive. If He marks iniquity, none can stand. But there is forgiveness with Him so that he may be feared. We are standing because of His forgiveness.

Forgiveness is something that can be easily provoked by genuine repentance. It is the reason ex-sinners and once-upon-a-time abominable men and women will be in Heaven.

God’s mercies and forgiveness has a way of shielding us from the consequences of sins. They are part of God’s eternal shield system; something we must never loss like Saul did.

The Bible says God withdrew His mercies from Saul and promised not to do the same to David because of the state of David’s heart. It’s the state of a man’s heart that determines the work of God’s mercies in His life.

This morning we are going to look a matters of financial freedom. The Bible says;

It’s been our month of mercy and what a week to begin in fellowship with brethren of like minds and depth of revelation.

God so arranged the first day of the week for the New Testaments Church to be a day of sitting down with others to reflect on His goodness and hear a word from His presence. I hope you find a local Church that is an extension of heaven to the earth to worship this morning – not an assembly of Satan called Church.

One major thing about the God of Heaven and earth that you cannot find in any other god is His surpassing goodness. Our devotional text this morning says, no good thing will He withhold from anyone who walk uprightly.

The first time I stumbled into that scripture, the first thing I thought was; “this is too good to be true. You mean God will not withhold any good thing from me if I walk uprightly?” I thought! I don’t want any good thing to be withheld from me. So all I have to do to see that happen in my life is to walk uprightly. Hallelujah!

ONE UPRIGHT WALK THAT WILL NOT ALLOW GOD TO WITHHOLD ANY GOOD THING FROM US IS REVEALED IN THE NEXT VERSE.

It says

“..blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts in you [leaning and believing on You, committing all and confidently looking to You, and that without fear or misgiving]!”

As we can see in this scripture, one upright walk is to trust in God, leaning and believing in Him, and committing all to Him and confidently looking up to Him without any fear of misgiving. There are other upright walks in Scriptures. Sadly, many of us do not know them hence seeing good things withheld from us!

The written covenant remains, “no good thing will GOD withhold from those who walk uprightly.

If good things are withheld from you, it is not because of a curse from your village, some altars in your father’s house, or some things you did yesterday. It is not because of what you may think or what some prophets may have told you. The Bible says if good things are withheld from us, it’s because we are not walking uprightly.

One major good thing that is being withheld from the lives of many in the Church is sufficient finances. So many are poor and oppressed economically! I mean so many in the Church. The Bible says;

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 NKJV

It has never been the will of God for His children live a life of debt, lack, and poverty. Except as a means to a glorious end in one’s relationship with God, Poverty has never been deemed to be a blessing anywhere in scriptures.

In fact, borrowing to survive or living in perpetual lack is a sign of a financial curse. A curse is a spiritual sentence to stop or hinder the flow of something good. This sentence is usually supervised by unseen forces.

If there is no flow of finances in your life irrespective of your financial prudence, I mean constant flow, it is a sign that you are struggling with a spiritual sentence supervised by unseen forces. It is important that you know how to come out of such sentences. You come out be walking uprightly before GOD.

You must come out of the curse of lying, begging or borrowing to survive to do God’s will. Man was not created to lie, beg or borrow to survive. You must come out of the curse and break into a life of abundance of provisions from unexpected ends.

YOU MUST COME OUT OF THE CURSE OF SLEEPING WITH MEN OR WOMEN TO GET A JOB, SECURE A CONTRACT, OR OWN A FAT BANK ACCOUNT.

You must come out of it by beginning an uprightly walk before GOD. You must come out of the curse of using vices to make money. Yes, we must come out of the curse of sacrificing your relationship with God on the altars of financial freedom.

God still has capacity to supply our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Under His glory no curse functions. That is why when supply comes to you from the glory it breaks every curses on your finances and usher in abundance. You must understand that the glory of God does not supply money to us in bits but abundantly.

The Bible did not say God will supply our needs according the riches of our father’s house, career, national budget, or skills. The Bible says God will supply our needs according His riches in glory.

The GLORY of God is the storehouse of our prosperity. That is where the control of our earthly blessings exits. It is not on earth as it were. Our money is released from there. That is why no devil can hinder it from coming until we begin to lead lives that are not aligned.

When our lives are aligned we will begin to see the glory of the LORD make things happen in our lives. You can understand why our devotional text says, “No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” Walking uprightly implies in alignment.

IF WE WALK IN ALIGNMENT WITH GOD WE LIVE WITHIN THE GLORY.

If you live your life outside the glory of God, you will keep toiling, and struggling with curses even after attending deliverance sessions, sowing seeds, fasting, praying, and having oil poured on your head or given to you to drink.

You see, I have always said, it is good to break a curse but best to live beyond it because Jesus made it abundantly clear in Matthew 12:43-45 that everything demonic always seek to return. The anointing may break a curse but it takes the glory to live beyond the curse.

Here is a mystery you must understand; any curse broken from your life that you do not go ahead to live beyond, will return into your life because curses only cease from speaking when we plug into the glory and begin to live beyond their reach. Paul understood this concept hence revealing that God’s glory is the only environment where His constant supplies are guaranteed.

When Adam was in the glory, there was no curse. When he stepped out of the glory, a curse emerged leading to other curses over time.

As you pass through this day, make up your mind to synchronize your life with the truth God just revealed to us in this devotional. It is a deep truth that needs to be unfolded further.

Shallow preaching or teachings will no longer help now. This is time to look for preachers and teachers of deep things and stick to them in other to go deep into the word!

Until you go deep into the word, you will never connect God’s glory! Until you connect God’s glory, your supply is not guaranteed. You will keep living in a realm of either not enough, or just enough to survive. But God forbids!!!

LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR YOU TODAY!

“Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.” Philippians 4:20 NKJV
