THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (Sunday 19th December 2021)

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:28-29 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 353RD DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS.

Welcome to a brand-new day from the LORD. Our god is good and His mercies endures forever. This is another day that the LORD has made, let’s rejoice and be glad in it.

For believers in Nations that allows for Sunday worship, today is a day you should find a church with sound doctrine and join them in fellowshipping with the Father.

It is a day of corporate worship, not private worship. You can do private worship at home any other day but not today!

The early church thrived on corporate worship. It was corporate worship that knitted the hearts of the believers together and made them one. It even helped the hearts of the New Believers to be established in Christ.

If you want to be established in the grace of our LORD and in the blessings of His house, you must become part of corporate worship.

There are dimensions of God that can only be found in places of corporate worship. No matter how powerful or hungry you are for God, those dimensions will never come when you are alone with God. They only come when you and others are gathered together to fellowship and to offer worship as a corporate spiritual family.

The Bible says;

“The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”

The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!

Your people shall be volunteers in the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.” Psalm 110:1-3 NKJV

The rod of our spiritual strength is sent to us out of Zion. The Church of Jesus Christ is known as Zion.

The word also signifies the place of corporate assembly. This scripture then means, it is in the place of corporate assembly that rods of strength that are required for us to rule in the midst of our enemies are released.

IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF STRENGTH, YOU MAY NOT GET IT WHILE AT HOME IN PRAYER.

You will need to join the people of God in corporate worship. That is where you found what you will never find at home. It is called true Church Experience. It is not the religion people are experiencing and calling it church. That is why in a true Church experience you do not find magic, manipulations and deception.

You do not find heretic teachings or false doctrines.

Yes, you do not leave with oil, stones, water, clothes they call mantles, brooms to sweep your enemy or any deliverance inventions. You find the revelation of Jesus Christ, infusing you with inner strength and leave there with the knowledge of His will. You leave fully alive in Christ, and burning with the flames of His glory to lead a Spirit led and not a flesh influenced Christian life.

Yes, you find genuine deliverance from the works of the devil, the works of the flesh and get the works of God established in your life.

In these days of spiritual isolationism, we must not allow the enemy to deceive us that we can only find God when we are alone or when we separate from the local Church.

Except your church has become a synagogue of Satan, God will never speak to you not to go to Church but stay at home and pray.

Yes, He could do that to reveal things to you but except a Church family is now a gate of hell on earth, God will never so that to anyone of us.

True corporate assembling in God’s kingdom is usually around the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Not around the teachings of redemption of first born, raising, silencing or breaking of altars. It is not around anything that Jesus never originated or reveal.

IT IS NOT USUALLY AROUND THE SHADOWS OF THE OLD TESTAMENT BUT THE SUBSTANCE THAT ARE BURIED IN THEM.

When we assembly around doctrines of devils like that we permit other spirits to come among the people of God to manifest as God to them. That is why you see all kinds of demon possession in Church today. You see the spirit of falsehood prevailing.

The revelation of Jesus Christ is the rock upon which the true Church is built. It is the purpose for Church meetings and gatherings.

If your local Church do not gather around it, then stay away until you find one that gathers around it. Do not even worship in a Church that makes your earthly needs the purpose of meeting.

You may not understand me but it’s dangerous. You will not know when you are having your problems solved by the spirit of lawlessness.

A Christian life that is rooted on any other revelation other than that of Jesus Christ is founded on a faulty foundation. That life will collapse under the weight of any spiritual attack. It will never have rest from the days of adversity.

The revelation of Jesus Christ is what you should crave for because that I what will bring you into the perfect peace God promised.

Sadly, the end time Church seems full of revelations but if you look deeply you will see that we have drifted away into things that were not held or taught by our fathers.

In the case of some local Churches, we have the revelation of what Christ gives – healing, deliverance, prosperity, peace, marriage, and etc. but we do not have the revelation of who He is. It is not the revelation of what He gives that will bring you into rest; That may give you a relieve. It is the revelation of who He is that will grant us rest on every side.

You see, there is a difference between a revelation on deliverance and a revelation of the deliverer Himself. There is a difference between a revelation on divine healing and a revelation of the Healer Himself.

MOST LOCAL CHURCHES ARE FULL OF THE REVELATION OF WHAT HE DOES BUT LACK THE REVELATION OF WHO HE IS.

Actually, we have been cut off from greater realms of glory because we lack the revelation of the glorious one Himself – Jesus Christ. There are dimensions of God’s glory we will never see until we know the Just One intimately not just what He does to solve our problems.

Most of the preachers we have today are not helping matters at all. Many of us who preach Jesus only preach about Him not really Him. You may say “pastor, what do you mean?

Friend, is it not evident that there is no true rest among believers today?

We use holy oil, holy water, holy fruits, and all kinds of deliverance inventions to display how helpless we have become. That is why those who listen to preachers who preach and teach about what Jesus does instead of who He is, are yet to come into the rest He promised.

They are rather restless; going from prophet to prophet, prayer house to prayer house and all that.

Our devotional text this morning said,

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

No matter what you are going through the solution lies in your understanding of this scripture. Have you come to the LORD? You cannot come to someone you do not know and get what He delivers.

Jesus gives rest, but many have not found it because they have not met Him. They have not met Him because they do not have the revelation of who He is.

If you do not understand the scripture of our devotional text, or are ignorant of it completely, you will never receive true rest from the LORD.

I have said it over and over that Satan destroys us through what we are ignorant of, and God can only save us through what we perfectly know and understand.

THE BIBLE SAYS THROUGH KNOWLEDGE SHALL THE RIGHTEOUS BE DELIVERED.

That is why if you come to church and meet anointed people for prayers but did not meet Jesus the one who anointed them, your life will never have rest. That has become the bane of many who go to church. They meet the anointed ones but not the one who anointed them. That is why they are limited to the preacher.

We may meet anointed pastors, bishops, prophets, apostles or prophetesses for prayers, but until they connect us to Jesus Christ Himself, we will always have relief and never have rest.

Most preachers only know how to connect the afflicted to their personal anointing that is why their core revelation has to do with “tapping into the anointing through seed sowing” or the demonic dimension of connect this altar with this money or the other money. They do not know how to connect people to Christ Himself.

They will ask even those who may be dying of starvation to tap into the grace they carry with their money, using the story of the widow of Zarephath as an anchor; even if they do not have.

The time has come for us to uncover God’s way of connecting to Jesus Christ.

Now, what is that way? How do we meet Him? That is where the subject of the revelation of Jesus Christ comes in. A personal revelation of Jesus Christ to you will connect you to Him permanently. That is the only revelation or unveiling that will turn your life around.

If Christ is not unveiled to you, a lot about your life will be bleak. Your Christian life will be a form of godliness without power!

Sadly, many are yet to come into the understanding seeking that Christ be unveiled to them, hence seeking prophets to tell them about themselves or their enemies.

People must start requesting that preachers tell them about the Revelation of Jesus Christ and if they can’t, the people should find those who can and become part of the spiritual households they are leading.

There are blessings that can only come to us through the revelation of Jesus Christ not through our fasting, prayer, or giving as important as those things are. I believe the message of today has been passed. Start running after the revelation of Jesus Christ in your walk and talk with God and nothing else.

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION;

“But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.” Galatians 1:11-12 NKJV
