THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (THURSDAY 29TH JUNE 2023)**

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”

“Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you.” Psalms 32:8-9 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 180TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS.

We thank God for this day and for His mercies in our lives. It’s been 180 days of experiencing the exploits of God’s mercies.

So much is happening on our planet, but if not for God’s mercies we would have been in the midst of some catalytic event. The cultural issues and life circumstances that surround us today may end up consuming us if we do not give God’s mercies their place in our lives.

So many lives are being crushed daily by economic hardship and other dark things. We see the need to have lives rewritten daily, because of these things. But that cannot happen by a man’s pen but by the pen of God’s mercies. Friend, there is nothing that can rewrite a man’s life like God’s mercies, if given its place.

For instance, when sin, iniquity, trespasses, or spiritual ignorance destroy our lives, God’s mercy has a way of coming to the rescue and rewriting everything about our lives. If the devil comes into our lives and uses the places we gave him to ruin it, if given its proper place, God’s mercy has a way of coming in to rewrite our lives.

To rewrite within context means to re-invent, rejuvenate, revive, restore, re-assemble, or bring back to its original better order. If given its proper place, like the prodigal son and the rest of the Bible characters did, God’s mercies have the capacity of doing all that. It can practically reinvent our lives.

To reinvent means to change something so much that it appears to be entirely new. That is what God’s mercies are capable of doing in our lives. They are capable of changing our lives, economically, physiologically, spiritually, etc., so much that every detail will appear entirely new.

The life of Job was completely ruined by the enemy during his test and trial. It was much more than a hopeless situation. But when God’s mercies went to work, Job was completely reinvented. The Bible says;

“The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys.

And he also had seven sons and three daughters. The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah and the third Keren-Happuch.

Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job’s daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.

After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation. And so Job died, an old man and full of years.” Job 42:12-17 NKJV

THE BIBLE IS FULL OF OTHER RECORD OF THE LIVES THAT GOD’S MERCIES REINVENTED.

It totally changed the life of the woman who was caught in adultery and gave her a holy life to live. It changed the life of the prodigal son and gave him a life away from the pigs of the consequences of his decision to live.

The woman that was caught in the quagmire of failed marriages, popularly called, the woman at the well, had her life changed, so much that it became totally new, when it encountered God’s mercies in Jesus Christ.

When God’s mercies reinvent your life, you will begin to sing of the mercies of the LORD, and make known with your mouth His faithfulness, to all generations. The Psalmist says;

“I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: With my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.” Psalm 89:1 KJV

God wants His mercies to be the song of every human on earth, that is why He has not ceased from showing mercy to whom He will show mercy, neither has He ceased from showing compassion, to whoever He will show compassion.

His greatness is demonstrated in his being slow to anger or wrath. Sadly, most of us do not know what that means because of the interpretation of the character of God through our own temperaments.

If we are as hot as Elijah, we will think God is hot, and if we are as gentle as John the beloved, we will interpret God to be so gentle and kind, that He can even allow an unrepentant sinner into His Heaven. Friend, it will take a dying and a revelation to present God the way He is, and not get it stained with your temperament.

ONE OF THE MOST DISTORTED CHARACTERS OF GOD IS HIS MERCIES.

Most people present it as an excuse or permit for a life of sin. Others present it by the definition of their temperaments. Very few present the mercies of GOD as a cure for the penalty, practice, and presence of sin.

Yes, God’s mercies take away the penalty of any sin, and its practice by reinventing our lives by its inherent power. When mercy reinvent your life, you can no longer be comfortable with a life of sin. You will also be free from any penalty of sin. That is why God’s mercies, remain the greatest asset of a divine destiny.

Talking about divine destiny, today we want to look at the principle of God’s communication systems. You will never fulfill your divine destiny if you are not acquainted with God’s communication systems. Understand that, the kingdom of Heaven carries out its activities on earth as the kingdom of God, through divine communication systems. And our divine destinies would need that to be fulfilled.

God’s communication system has tongues and languages we must come into as His sons. For instance, there are tongues of men, tongues of angels, and languages of the Spirit. Dreams and visions are the language of the Spirit.

Everyone who will fulfill their destiny must understand that, God speaks in tongues of men and angels and in dreams and visions. He also speaks in several other ways. There are some of those ways we simply term ‘classified.’

The ways we term classified, are ways He used in communicating with man that have never been repeated again in human history.

One of those ways is the incident of the burning bush in Exodus chapter three. God has never repeated that again. The Bible says His flaming glory descended upon that bush and it appeared like fire in the eyes of Moses and attracted him to the scene. But the bush was not burning because it was not a literal fire but God’s consuming glory!

That was what God used in unfolding to Moses a major content of his divine destiny, resulting in the mandate to go back to Egypt, and bring Israel out of the Egyptian bondage.

ANOTHER CLASSIFIED WAY GOD SPOKE WAS WHEN THE EARTH OPENED UP AND SWALLOWED THOSE WHO REBELLED AGAINST MOSES.

He spoke in that sign to validate the call and ministry of Moses. Another classified way was seen when God spoke to Moses from a cloud of glory that was visible to every eye that day. That has not been repeated again in human history.

God has classified and unclassified ways that He speaks. In my book, getting and staying married, I wrote just seven of the common ways God speaks. The fact is, God’s communication system is multi-level and unlimited.

He could speak to you in a dream or vision. No matter which communication system He decides to use, you will need an encounter with Him through His communication systems for you to fulfill your destiny.

And talking about visions, we have what we call outward visions; which are visible motion or static pictures supernaturally imposed on a wall or the air for you to see.

It is the activation of your natural and spiritual eyes at the same time to see into the invisible and some time our natural and spiritual ears are also activated along to hear any accompanying voice or sound. For instance, most of Daniel’s visionary experiences where not night dreams but outward visions from Heaven.

Mary’s encounter with angel Gabriel was through an outward vision that was participatory in nature; that was why she could speak back to the angel. Outward visions have been used by God, to transmit communication from Heaven to the earth and help destiny men and women come into the revelation or manifestation of the content of their divine destinies.

We also have what we call inward visions.

Inward visions are static or motion pictures from the supernatural realm, internally displayed to the eye of your spirit. These classes of visions are quick and strong. They happen in a twinkling of an eye, but leaves behind a strong sensitivity to what was revealed.

Why am I sharing these highlights on divine communication? Like a pilot needs constant communication with the control tower for his flight to be successful, so will your destiny need constant communication with Heaven for it to be fulfilled.

If you do not understand the concept of divine communication, you will delay your divine destiny and maybe live and die without fulfilling much.

THIS IS WHERE THE SUBJECT OF DIVINE SENSITIVITY COMES IN.

This is why you must understand the supernatural of GOD and train your spiritual senses to be able to pick frequencies from Heaven. This is where you must go deep with God and come to the realm of faith where your heart, ears, and eyes are made active to pick things from the glory realm, at all times.

A church generation that is rich, but arrogant, blind, naked, and poor in the spirit will never come to that realm of faith – the realm of accurate divine communication. That is why we have people who blindly get themselves trapped in spiritual snares called marriages. Others have been given juicy positions in local Church assemblies that are simply gates of hell in the spirit.

If we will fulfil our divine destinies, we must be exposed to genuine encounters with the prophetic realm of God to become active in faith.

The faith I am referring to, is not the one they teach in some of our churches, that is full of fight and greed. The faith I am referring to, is the Faith that comes by seeing and hearing accurately in the spirit – a by-product of tapping into God’s communication system accurately.

That is what your divine destiny will need to be fulfilled.

It is a faith that sees the invisible and hears the inaudible in God’s glory. It’s a faith that terminates spiritual blindness or deafness. The truth is, if you are blind and deaf in the spirit, how can God show you the routes and paths ways you need to follow in order to arrive at your destiny place?

The divine routes and paths you will need to follow in order to fulfill the content of your divine destiny, are full of divine sign posts, and supernatural alarms, planted by God to protect you from danger and save you from taking the wrong decisions.

If you cannot read spiritual sign post and pick divine alarms, how then will you be protected from evil or know which step to take at the cross roads of life? In other words, if you cannot perceive the voice of the spirit or understand the tongues God speaks in, how will you unleash your divine destiny?

A major highlight in our devotional text this morning says,

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”

Your divine destiny will need a constant touch with Heaven to be fulfilled.

God could use a prophetic person to keep you in constant touch with Him, but that will destroy you if you camp there. It is better to have your own divine communication gadget, so you can be able to stay in touch with Him yourself.

Destiny is a personal affair, most of what you will do to fulfil it will depend on a personal prophetic hearing system. Upgrading it from time to time is therefore very necessary. And God has planted genuine apostolic and prophetic ministries around to help us in doing that. The only thing you need to do is to locate them and plant yourself there.

LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR US TODAY!

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.

Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

Your descendants also would have been like the sand, and the offspring of your body like the grains of sand; His name would not have been cut off nor destroyed from before Me.”

Go forth from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldeans! With a voice of singing, declare, proclaim this, utter it to the end of the earth; Say, “The Lord has redeemed His servant Jacob!” Isaiah 48:17-20 NKJV
