TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 4TH JULY 2023)**
“Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain.
So Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel. Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.” 1 Kings 18:45-46 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 185th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS.
It’s a good thing to give thanks to the LORD after passing successfully through a month that meant so many things to many of us. Generationally, it is a month that marks the middle of the year. I am persuaded that God who brought us to the end of the middle of the year, will take us safely to the end of the year.
It’s been our season of looking at matters of divine destiny and God has been faithfully making it such. The Spirit of truth has been feeding us with matters of divine destiny. I don’t know about you, but I am very grateful to God and His Holy Spirit who made all that happen.
Indeed, God will not stop pursuing His own with mysteries because He wants to be revealed.
It may interest you to know that, God does not want the revelation of who He is to be concealed, God wants the revelation of who He is to be revealed. That is why it pains His loving Heart, when a preacher stands before a people to preach stolen, inspiring, or motivational messages, that did not unveil or reveal God to the people.
The gospel is actually to be preached, taught, or demonstrated, as the bearer of the message is propelled or empowered by the Holy Spirit to break the seal of the word. It is when it is dispensed that way that God can be revealed to us. But when it is stolen, watered down, adulterated, or replaced with another, God cannot be revealed and destinies will not be fulfilled.
It is when God is revealed, that the content of our divine destinies can be fulfilled. When God is revealed, apart from the power we receive into our lives, our eyes will open to catch the revelation of the things that our divine destinies will need to be fulfilled.
We have been looking at things that our divine destinies will need to be fulfilled. We have seen 11 different things; from a personal and consistent relationship with God, to an unconditional love for people, especially our enemies, as unveiled yesterday.
WE SAW THAT THE CHURCH OF TODAY HAS BECOME VERY GUILTY OF BREAKING THE GOLDEN RULE OF LOVE IN GOD’S KINGDOM.
We have become murderers and hired assassins of those we were original destined to save. We do not murder or assassinate with instruments of cruelty, as the people of this world do. We do it using our hate driven prayers. Sadly, these things are done because of the material benefits derived by the so-called deliverance preachers from the pockets of those who obey and listen to them.
God lamented in His word saying;
“And will you profane Me among My people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, killing people who should not die, and keeping people alive who should not live, by your lying to My people who listen to lies?” Ezekiel 13:19 NKJV
In our so-called deliverance or dangerous prayers, we ask God to kill people who should not die. We listen to lies told to us by dark prophets with the ability to prophesy accurately, thereby tearing our families apart. Places were families are not torn apart, you find so many lives torn apart by these prophets.
They follow what they teach, command, and order, thereby keeping them alive with their tithes, offering, sacrificial giving, the sale of religious relics like oil, water, salt, etc. While in God’s judgment, the ministries of the terrible prophets ought not to be alive. They make them desperate to pray and fast, asking God to kill people in their lives who in God’s judgment should not die.
So many of us, do not know how to separate the real enemy we are all called to deal with, from the Pseudo enemies we create for ourselves.
God made it clear to us yesterday, that if we will fulfil our divine destinies, especially in these perilous times, we must train our hearts and submit to Him, to impart our hearts with adequate ability to love even the unlovable.
The word of the LORD made it clear that, if we do not add love for our enemies to the pursuit of our divine destinies, there is no way that we can fulfill it.
THE NEXT THING OUR DIVINE DESTINY WILL NEED TO BE FULFILL IS DIVINE ACCELERATION.
Yes, our divine destinies will need divine acceleration to be fulfilled. If you lack divine acceleration, time and chance will rob you of significant accomplishments.
Friend, personal mistakes of life can be very costly to our divine destiny. Abraham for example, got one Ishmael from such mistakes when he was Abram and it altered his divine destiny terribly. The world is still feeling the effects today.
There are so many things that can affect our divine destinies that only divine acceleration can cure. Notarizing up early in life to respond to God, is one of such. It can hinder us from meeting up with God’s schedule for our lives. That is where divine acceleration comes in to help us recover.
I want to refresh our minds again on this; God originally scheduled everyone to come into destiny at 30 years of age.
In His plan, once you are thirty, you should start unleashing your divine destiny. That was why people entered into priesthood in Israel at 30; Joseph became prime minister of Egypt and minister of Agriculture at 30. David became king over Hebron at 30, and Jesus began to fulfil his ministry at 30.
All these Bible records are a proof that God designed and scheduled that when a man hits thirty years of age, he should begin to be what GOD has created him to be. But many have missed this schedule of God for their lives. That is why at above 30, they are yet to find their bearing.
If God did not bring them under His portal of divine acceleration, they may die without fulfilling divine destiny. The effect of the portal of divine acceleration is revealed in our devotional text.
A Major highlight of the text says;
“Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.”
That is Divine Acceleration.
Child of GOD***, y***our divine destiny will need the hand of the LORD to come upon you, so that you can run ahead of things, reach certain success points of GOD’s plans for your life and catch up with the schedules you may have missed.
It is divine acceleration that God use in helping us recover lost achievement grounds.
Understand that, without divine acceleration, we will not be able to do so many things that are found in the content of our divine destinies. In your quest for the release of your destiny, therefore you must learn to seek the LORD for divine acceleration. That is the word of the LORD!
