THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (SUNDAY 23RD JULY 2023)**

“AND IN that day you will say, I will give thanks to You, O Lord; for though You were angry with me, Your anger has turned away, and You comfort me.

Behold, God, my salvation! I will trust and not be afraid, for the Lord God is my strength and song; yes, He has become my salvation.

Therefore with joy will you draw water from the wells of salvation.” Isaiah 12:1-3 AMP

WELCOME TO THE 204TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS.

The LORD God has been digging wells of salvation in our hearts. We give Him the glory for all that. That is why most believers who drink from this fountain, no longer depend on preachers for anything. They now have secured and private ways of approaching God themselves.

It is another Sunday and we are glad!

Before the cross, the digging of wells was significant to the well-being of Bible Characters like our fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. However, years later, God’s prophet Isaiah would take the revelation further by speaking to us about the wells of salvation. He said,

Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.’ ”

Therefore, with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.” Isaiah 12:2-3 NKJV

Today, wells of salvation can be dug in our hearts by the Spirit of the LORD. In the days of our fathers, they dug wells for economic salvation. Today the Spirit of the LORD is using deep Bible truths and spiritual encounters to dig wells of eternal salvation in the hearts of men.

The vision is to give each man a divine spiritual system, to draw refreshing from, from time to time. So that, we all can be moving from revelation to revelation, vision to vision, fire to fire, faith to faith, and glory to glory.

The wells the Spirit digs in our hearts, sometimes manifest as wells of truth. God wants our lives filled with water from these special Holy Ghost wells so that there will be spiritual independence among us, as God intends for believers.

If there is no spiritual independence among believers, we are going to have men who will have dominion over fellow men. A man having dominion over his or her fellow man is the reason for the reduction of church members into puppets of preachers.

I HAVE COME ACROSS CHRISTIANS WHO CANNOT EVEN SPEND THEIR OWN MONIES UNTIL THEIR PROPHETS, APOSTLES, OR BISHOPS SAYS SO.

Some even believe their destinies are in the mouth of those prophets. They believe that the prophets, or apostles holds the key to their prosperity and freedom from dark powers.

Give me a break! Only Jesus holds such keys. And the last time I checked, He has not given them to anyone.

I can’t forget the lady who traveled to the United States, and another to the United Kingdom, whose incomes were controlled by their respective prophets or Papas in West Africa.

There are Kenyan Christians in the Middle East, who are suffering daily to make ends meet, whose monies are controlled by hungry preachers here in Kenya. These dark things and acts of wickedness are happening, because believers do not have their own private and secured wells of salvation.

I once handled a sad situation where a young preacher was ordered by his so-called spiritual father, to crawl from the door of their Church building to the pulpit for one ‘holy spirit’ the Papa carries to forgive him. His sin was not allowing his wife to send money to the Papa.

I was furious when and very sad when I heard that. Again, all these things are happening because people have gone to church for years but have not experienced the truths that will create their private and secured wells of salvation within them. Jesus said;

“ On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” John 7:37-39 NKJV

Now, from this scripture, it is clear that a well in a man’s heart is not just for that man. The word says, out of our belly or spirits, shall flow rivers of living water. So, the wells are not just to refresh us but others. The intent is not for the well to flow for one day, but forever.

For instance, the Bible is a collection of wells of truth, dug in the spirits and lives of just men in time past, for our spirits in time present. People who treat it as an Old Book, full of unchangeable stories, will miss the great blessings buried in the wells that are in it.

BUT THOSE WHO VISIT IT DAY BY DAY WILL ALWAYS FIND REFRESHING FROM IT.

The refreshing a well of truth gives, grows strong with time. That is why it still ministers to anyone who goes in there with a hungry heart to find spiritual refreshing.

Understand that God wants you to have wells of truth within you so that He can send people to you to drink from you. Apart from the Bible being a great site of wells of truth, God wants you and I to be His wells of truth, for the refreshing of the perishing.

It is important to note that, a divine destiny will always need a well of truth to be fulfilled; either the one it carries or the one another person carries. That is why, if you want to fulfill your destiny in God, you must either live around a well of truth or have one in your spirit.

In other words, if out of your belly living waters are not flowing to refresh you from time to time, stay connected to a people or church where they are flowing, until yours begins to flow also. If you ask me, I will suggest that you have one of such wells in your spirit, even if God has given you one to camp around.

However, to have one in your spirit, you must accept the call to be the center of one, and bear the responsibility to have it created in you. The responsibility will involve, reaching out to feed on Bible revelations, with capacity to grant you encounters and create wells of salvation in you.

When we drink from the spiritual wells in the Holy Bible over time, we will have great encounters with the LORD, that will create wells of salvation within our spirits. To create these wells in believers is the reason for most apostolic emphasis.

People who have not experienced Bible truths that are capable of creating wells of salvation in them, always believe any lie from preachers, while some will lack the courage to question certain teachings.

They will simply live like simpletons, who accept anything that is served to them by preachers, especially the rogue ones, as from the LORD. You will find them transferring the fear they were supposed to have for God, to such men, in the guise of respecting or honoring their anointing.

I have found many with wizards called prophets and others serving with all their might in money-making centers called churches, and some others submitting to all kinds of nonsense from the kingdom of darkness, that masquerades as the kingdom of God.

WHEN IT COMES TO HAVING THE WELL OF SALVATION IN YOUR HEART, YOU MUST LEARN TO SPEND TIME WITH THE WORD.

If you cannot do it easily, then spend time with people, or in a church where time is spent with the word. The next thing is you must avoid all Charismatic witches and wizards parading themselves as ministers of God.

You see, People who spend even one moment with such preachers, do not really understand what such things are doing to them. When a well of salvation is created in your heart, you will begin to experience the beauty of God in every situation you find yourself.

The Bible says;

“I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.”

“He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.”

“I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.” Ecclesiastes 3:10-12 KJV

This scripture is loaded with mysteries about time that we will need both space and a move of the Spirit in our spirits to uncover.

First of all, I want to say, without a spiritual father to feed you with rich spiritual food, a divine plan to guide you daily, some natural and divine wisdom to apply in decision making, and a heart to use in facing the challenges of life squarely, you will never have any well of salvation in your heart.

You can invade the Bible by yourself, and maybe get something. But to come to the realms of flowing wells within, Jesus Himself designed that you sit with those who have sat with Him in the Bible long enough.

I believe enough has been shared for the day. The message of the day is simple. You will need a well of salvation in you not to depend on any for deliverance. You will need a well of salvation in you for you to be all that God has called you to be.

LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR US TODAY!

And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:3-4 NKJV
