TODAY’S DEVOTION (SUNDAY 30TH JULY 2023)
“Nor shall you make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to their son, nor take their daughter for your son. For they will turn your sons away from following Me, to serve other gods; so the anger of the Lord will be aroused against you and destroy you suddenly.”
“But thus you shall deal with them: you shall destroy their altars, and break down their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images, and burn their carved images with fire.”
“For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. Deuteronomy 7:3-6 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 211TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS.
It is another day from the LORD, and we are glad. Today is the first day of another week, and as the LORD will have it, we are starting the week again in corporate fellowship as a church, and in the manifest presence of the LORD for corporate assemblies.
The Bible says during such meetings, the LORD will send the rod of our strength from Heaven to us, it will reach us while we are in Zion. The vision is to enable us to rule in the midst of our enemies – the flesh, the devil, and the evil and corrupt systems of this world.
Once again, let us affirm that the LORD is our Judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our King, He will save us. Hallelujah!!!
I think this should be a daily declaration of faith for us all. It will foster allegiance and unlock the manifest presence of the LORD upon our life situations.
Our devotional text today is a unique one. I will say something more about it in service today. But the first time I read that scripture, I thought God was segregating. I thought He was unloving to a heathen nation. I thought the God who is LOVE now “hate.”
But I would later grow up to find out that our God who is full of Love, do not love everything we do with our lives, hence separates those who defile themselves with sin and the satanic, from those who do not. This is one major characteristics of God that many of us in the present church do not know, due to certain dangerous assertions, like the one that says, “we are all sinners.”
The assertion makes even the once upon a time sinner, who is now washed by the blood of Jesus and filled with the Holy Spirit, not to separate themselves from those who have not been washed or filled, consequently reversing everything the LORD did and becoming defiled again.
We must understand that, when God set any people apart for Himself, by cleansing them of their sins, and getting them filled with the Holy Spirit, especially with an intention to use them to execute a redemptive plan, He will not want the people messing around with anyone who is having any kind of affinity with the satanic, the demonic or the sinful.
For instance, He will not want them to get hooked up to them in any kind of intimate or close quarter relationships. The rule in God’s kingdom remain this’ It says “Consecrated people do not hook themselves up with desecrated people else they loose their consecration.”
For instance, many in the dark world spent nights on the laps of immorality, and beds of perverted men or women, to fulfil their sexual desires. Others spent nights with bottles of alcohol, thinking they are enjoying life. If you who spend nights with the LORD enter into close quarter or intimate relationship with them, you will one day loose your consecration.
IF THE CONSECRATED YOKE TOGETHER WITH THE DESECRATED, THEIR DEFILEMENT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME.
They will end up being defiled over time. The devil would not need to send a demon to attack them again, because they are already in his net. He can do any harm to them successfully, using the defilement they get from who they are yoking together with.
Our devotional text this morning speaks to us about an aspect of the Christian faith that our generation of believers seem not to be aware of. That aspect is called separation. It is a major aspect of the holiness of God that should be seen in our lives, as His children.
The scripture tells us how God set a standard for His people Israel, as a template of what He will do with anyone who decide to become His holy seed on the face of the earth. Born again is actually a decision to become God’s Holy Seed on the face of the earth.
The standard of faith or holiness of God therefore, was passed on from generation to generation, until it got to the early Church. If you read the books of the New Testament, you will realize that the early Church maintained this aspect of holiness strictly – even marrying only among themselves.
No seed of God joined himself or herself to a seed of Satan in any way. Some remained single for not finding a seed of GOD to yoke together with. They did that to keep to the standard. But these practices are alien to our generation, hence the mixed breeds and mixture in our version of Christianity.
For instance, in the early church, there were no mixed marriages, except for married people who joined the Church from the lost world, who had partners who were still lost in sin. Believers did not wake up to join themselves with unbelievers and called it marriage; like we do today. It never happened. That was why there was no marital crisis or divorce case among them.
Sadly, the perverted gospel of grace has deleted this standard and aspect of holiness in our Church generation, giving birth to terrible things in the lives of God’s people. You find lost sinners who go to church, read the Bible, teach in Sunday school, lead churches and all that, calling themselves Christians and getting yoked together in marriage with genuine believers.
THAT NEVER HAPPENED IN THE EARLY CHURCH.
Today, anyone who joins the Church, after reciting the sinner’s prayer with or without encounter with God, is considered saved. Making it possible for seeds of Satan to camouflage, and get hooked up in close quarter relations with the seeds of God among us.
Many no longer know that when we become genuinely born again through a genuine encounter with God, we are automatically transformed into a Holy People. The transformation implies that we live our lives separate from anyone, people, alliance or unions that are not truly united with God. It calls for contact (with them) without contamination, and interface without intercourse. Sadly, the reverse is the case today.
Everyone is considered born again, the ignorant and arrogant, call wicked people in church, weak people. It has led to the consecrated, opening their lives very dangerously to the desecrated, resulting into a falling away from the faith and the loss of the salvation of many.
There are those that are currently under spiritual attacks because of it, but they blame what they are going through on some altars and etc.
For instance, how many pastors have been turned into sex addicts, by church members they tolerated and treated as weak, when they were making sexual advances at them? How many Church workers and leaders have been turned into Sons of hell by the wicked members they tolerated and treated as young in faith?
Our ignorance is not letting us see that there is a difference between a seed of the righteous and that of the wicked, and that there is a line that separates those who are “weak in faith” from those who are “wicked to the faith,” who we treat as weak in faith.
No good farmer nurture weeds. All good farmers nurture seeds and separate them from weeds. But we nurture these weeds and watch them destroy our lives without doing anything about it.
In Bible days, good stewards of the manifold grace of God like Paul, put such members away from close quarters relations with the Church, and asked that they be treated like the unbelievers that they are. There were times when he even wrote that they hand over the unrepentant ones to Satan, so that they can learn how not to blaspheme.
THAT WAS AN APOSTLE OF GRACE SPEAKING, SIR.
Friend, no good steward of God’s grace nurture weeds. They treated the wicked, who camouflage as “weak” brethren, to plant themselves for the destruction of the move of God, as weeds. They never allowed any of them to take root in the church of GOD. These are standards of separation that have been forgotten in our Church generation, hence bringing untold Satanic activities to church.
Sadly, covens of witches and wizards now exist in the Church, courtesy of allowing the wicked to take root in the church calling them weak.
The throne of Satan now sits enthroned in the worship of many assemblies of God’s people, as the throne of God. There is so much happening in the present church that we cannot state here. All these things are happening because we forgot and buried the standard of separation that sustained God’s power and glory in the early Church.
Jesus has never allowed the wheat and tares to permanently grow together. He always comes in with a sickle after a season to weed the tares away.
I guess the Church has entered that season now. That is why you see carnal and demonic Christians not able to stay among those who are truly spiritual and divine. You find them separating themselves into churches that minister to their carnality, and running after money spinning preachers and dark prophets. That is not natural but prophetic.
God will never allow the devil’s seed to stay for too long with his own. Their gullible nature will be revealed and they will leave to follow charlatans. But let us go deeper; let’s take the last verse in our devotional text and see what the LORD concealed in it, for our generation.
The verse says,
“For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.”
Knowing your identity in the spirit is a blessing. This verse called all of us who have been begotten of God, “a holy people to the LORD our God.” If your salvation encounter was genuine, it’s important that you take this scripture seriously. Else you will grow from a Child of God to a son of hell, by mixing yourself with strange Christians, who hold the nature and practices of the heathen around.
The Bible says you are chosen to be part of a people for God, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. That is why you must be separate. You must be separate at least, to preserve this position in Christ Jesus that the LORD has given you. You must walk with eagles and not vultures.
You must not make goats your best friends while you are a sheep. You must look for fellow sheep that hears the voice of the master and bring them into close quarter faith building relations with you. That is one of the beautiful ways to preserve yourself from pollution this end time.
It’s a new day for you. May God use these words, to keep giving us, more inheritance, among they that are sanctified! AMEN!
