THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (SUNDAY 15TH October 2023)

And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”

Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” ‘I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:16-18 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 288TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS

For 288 days, the LORD has kept us. He has watched over us. He has fought our battles. I have seen Him protect me from terrible ruin. He has kept me and mine alive. He has kept you too! To Him belong the glory. I remember watching a movie where someone told another to stay alive. I marveled at how the world is trying to tell itself that it can survive without GOD, because no man can stay alive. It is God that keeps us alive.

A man can take away his own life, but to stay alive if we want to be alive in an evil invested world, it will take GOD. One way God keeps us alive, is by pouring His word and mercy into our lives. That will not just keep us alive physically, but spiritually also. The Bible says man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD.

Being alive physically, should be utilized to keep one alive spiritually, because if we are alive physically but dead spiritually, we have made our being alive physically a waste. Being alive physically will only be meaningful and blissful when we are alive spiritually.

It is those who are physically and spiritually alive, that will enjoy the best of an earthly life. The LORD will make them ride on the high places of the earth and fill their lives with good. He will show them great and mighty things that they know not, each time they kneel down to pray.

They will be sensitive to His will in every situation, and escape the pitfalls of Satan. They will be passionate about God’s ways, understand the times and season and know what Israel ought to do. They will be like the Biblical sons of Issachar. Today is the first day of the week. Most of us will be in Church to fellowship with fellow brethren. One of the reasons for corporate fellowship, is to either come alive or stay alive spiritually. That is why we must worship in living churches.

Our devotional word today, has a proceeding word from the Heart of the LORD, for someone who is looking for more of God’s manifestation in his or her life, especially to stay alive both physically and spiritually.

I HOPE YOU ARE THAT PERSON.

Yes, another way God keeps us alive, both physically and spiritually, is to manifest Himself in our lives. That happens when we attend church services headed by spiritual leaders who are alive in Christ. But there is more. The proceeding word the LORD has for us this morning says, “there is something to come out from, for God to manifest more of Himself in your life.”

We can be part of a living church, or proteges of a preacher who is alive in Christ, but if we do not come out of certain things, we will not experience significant manifestations of GOD in our lives. One of the many truths we have taught in the Cry of the Spirit Ministries, is the revelation of God’s glory. We have learned that the glory of the LORD is the storehouse of God’s goodness, manifestations, gifts, callings, graces, and etc. To access all in GOD we must come into the realm of His glory.

We have also learned that the glory of the LORD is the fullness of GOD on display. The manifestation of that fulness in our lives, is a necessity because most of the divine promises we receive from God, cannot come to pass in our lives until we experience the manifestation. I don’t know if God has spoken to you of something He wants to do in you, or for you, and that thing is yet to come to pass.

May be some prophets may have told you to give some money to them in other to activate it to come to pass, and perhaps you have foolishly done so, yet it has not come to pass. God sent this word this morning to tell you that it is the manifestation of the fulness of His presence in your life, that will make it come to pass.

God’s glory manifesting in and through us, is the key to seeing divine promises come to pass in our lives. That is why the ultimate vision of GOD for us, is that He comes into our lives, and tabernacle in us. His vision is to live in us in His fulness. He wants to tabernacle in us, and unleash His glory on the earth.

WHEN GOD TABERNACLE IN US, OUR FRIENDS AND ENEMIES WILL FEEL THE AFTER EFFECTS.

We will also experience the after effects in a very powerful way. He will begin to guide us with amazing lights and understanding on issues of life, and driving darkness away from us. People who were not originally designed to be part of our destiny will suddenly withdraw from us or become hostile.

When God comes into you and dwell in you, whatever and whoever is not of God in your life will begin to dislike you. You will begin to irritate their demons. A Church or minister of the gospel filled with the spirit of hell, will begin to attack you with unbelievable lies and blackmail if you are in any way joined to them.

Agents of darkness you may have taken for husbands or wives will begin to withdraw from you or cause problems for you. Everything that is not of God that may have attached itself to your life has a way of reacting when God comes in to tabernacle in you. But all that is the burden attached to the blessing, and you must be ready to bear it. It is better for God to dwell in me and man stay away from me, than for man to stay with me while GOD is not in me.

When man stays with you while God is not in you, your life will be full of miseries. But when God lives in you, your life will be full of peace either anyone is with you or not. The Bible says, And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:3-4 NKJV

If you look at this scripture carefully, you will discover that, there are tears that cannot be wiped away from us, until God own us in spirit and in truth and tabernacle in us. Such tears cannot cease through the use of oil, water, salt in prayer or etc. If we try to wipe such tears away by sowing seed, fasting and prayer, running after or looking for prophets to speak into our lives, or bringing anything they tell us to bring to them, they will never be wiped away.

FRIEND, THERE ARE TEARS THAT CANNOT BE WIPED AWAY UNTIL THE FULLNESS OF GOD TAKES RESIDENCE IN YOU.

Tears like persistent poverty, spiritual attacks, not fulfilling a marital destiny, what we call generational curses, things we blame on what deliverance ministers’ call “foundational problems” or “evil altars, cannot be wiped away until the fulness of GOD takes residence in our inside.”

Friend whatever evil work in your life that deliverance ministers may have blamed on your foundation or evil altars, can only be neutralized in your life when God comes into your life to tabernacle. That is why I tell people, “it’s not the presence of an evil foundation in your life that is responsible for your problems, but the absence of the foundation of the LORD in your life.”

When God tabernacles in your life, the Bible says no evil will befall you. Whatever cannot befall God will not befall you. Now, how do we come to the realm where GOD will tabernacle in us? Our devotional text is full of the answers. A major highlight in the text says;

As God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” ‘I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.”

The only thing to do, to come into that realm where God tabernacles people, is to use His saving grace in our lives to come out of things that will not let Him dwell in us. Yes, there are things, people, places, policies, systems, ways of life, and etc. that will not let GOD tabernacle in us. We must come out of them.

Some these things could be a church that has become dark, derailed or unclean in God’s sight, a business that is defiling us, a friend who is not helping us grow spiritually, or carnal relationship, a pseudo marriage or etc. It could even be a paradigm to shift away from; a thought system or mindset to dissolve by the power of scriptural revelations.

We can use God’s saving grace upon our lives to discern what we need to come out of for the fulness of GOD to take residence in us. The Rhema word remains, “Come out from among them and be separate … and I will receive you.” Hallelujah!!

That is the word of the LORD for today!

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY;

“O Corinthians! We have spoken openly to you, our heart is wide open. You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your own affections. Now in return for the same(I speak as to children), you also be open.

“Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?”

“And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”

Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.”

‘I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 6:11-7:1 NKJV
