TODAY’S DEVOTION (WEDNESDAY 6TH DECEMBER 2023)
“Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.
Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. Isaiah 2:2-3 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 340TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS.
Glory be to God for bringing us to the last days of this year. The holiday feeling is already building in the minds of many. Those who usually take the gospel to their rural homes in a time like this are also getting ready.
May the mercy and blessing of the LORD continue to rest upon us, as we all seek to serve our generation according to the will of God, in Jesus precious name. Amen!
From the annals of the global move of God to restore back His church to its original pattern, we can see that we are in a unique prophetic season; a season that GOD is opening portals of truth to diffuse the errors that are coming out of the mouth of perverted preachers.
These portals of truth are spiritual portals that open internally. They open to bring clear cut understanding of scriptures and accurate discernment.
For those who may not be aware of spiritual portals, let me refresh our memories on what they are!
A “spiritual portal” is an entry point between the visible and the invisible world. It is like a gate you pass through from the visible world to the invisible, and vice versa.
It could be from the invisible world of God, to the visible world of man, and vice versa. It could also be from the invisible world of the dark kingdom, to the visible world of man, and vice versa.
The one that serves as a gate for the invisible dark realm is called a gate or portal of hell. The one that serves for the invisible world of God is a gate or portal of Heaven. Both can open in our inward man, or in our environment.
When you read Jesus saying, “The gates of hell shall not prevail,” It is a reference to portals or gates to the dark realm.
THE GATES OR PORTALS OF HELL OPEN DOWNWARDS, THAT OF HEAVEN OPENS UPWARDS.
Everyone who has ever died and gone to the place called hell fire, but was granted mercy to return has said, his or her spirit descended downwards through a tunnel (or portal).
On the flip side, everyone who has ever died and gone to Heaven but sent back to earth to complete one assignment or the other, has always said his or her spirit ascended into Heaven through a glorious portal.
In Genesis Chapter 28:11-22, you find Jacob stumbling into a Heavenly portal while alive. We can step into either portal of hell or Heaven while alive.
For instance, it was a Heavenly portal that both Enoch and Elijah used in going to Heaven alive. And it was a portal of hell that opened over Sodom and Gomorrah, hence the perversion and subsequent destruction.
The portal that Jacob stumbled into when he was running away from his brother Esau, was first discovered by his grandfather Abraham, in Genesis Chapter 12.
The Bible says God used “dream language” to reveal the presence of the portal in that place to him. And he woke up and said;
.. “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.”
And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!” Genesis 28:16-17 NKJV
If portals of Heaven do not open over destiny people, there is no way they will be able to fulfil their destiny. Jacob’s encounter shows us that, if we have a destiny to fulfill in God, our lives must be consumed by Heavenly portals for portals of hell not to consume us.
Yes, our hearts must be filled with truths from heavenly portals that God opens over His own, whenever He wants to help them to diffuse, disarm or eliminate deception. When that happens, the presence of GOD will become even tangible.
Like Jacob, you could wake up one morning even in your bedroom, to a beautiful presence of GOD, and cry out, “so the LORD is in my bedroom and I know not.”
But let me say this, for our hearts to experience internally what Jacob experienced externally, we must wake up from every slumber. We must take responsibility and begin to do the needful.
I BELIEVE THIS IS THE HOUR OF TAKING RESPONSIBILITY OF OUR SPIRITUAL LIVES, INSTEAD OF LIVING IT IN THE HANDS OF OTHERS.
Yes, this is the time to take responsibility of our spiritual lives and no longer blame people or things for anything that may be wrong with us. The blame game has not helped anyone. We must all take responsibility of our spiritual lives and come into dimensions in God we are yet to experience.
I have come to discover that heretic teachers, dark deliverance ministers and etc. have a way of making the oppressed play the blame game. They make them play the blame game until they become stupid enough to be robbed of their monies through prophecies.
Friend, we live in a “blame game” generation that is why the charlatans among us are having a field day!
For instance, a woman will get married to a good man, but for lack of character and godly conduct, she will lose the man. Then when she goes to meet a prophet or prophetess for help, the so-called man or woman of God will blame it on her father’s house, or some voices crying against her from the village, or some gods or curses in her life.
The same can be seen in the lives of men who were married to good women. Through the ministries of this dark deliverance ministers, the church has developed the attitude of blaming some altars, parents, or evil spirits for what a Godless, carnal, and wicked set of decisions is bringing upon people.
Sadly, the matter becomes complicated if either of our parents or family members suffered, or is suffering from the same fate. It becomes what they call an evil pattern or even a curse.
We won’t see the lack of godly conduct, an absence of a proper relationship with GOD, or the presence of wickedness in the hearts of the family member or etc. who may be under the attacks.
For instance, any husband or wife your carnal desires or anything outside the voice of the LORD gives you, will eventually leave. If he or she did not leave there will be unquenchable Crisis in the marriage.
LET NO ONE DECEIVE YOU.
The absence of divine will and ways, in the lives of men, is the only reason for unquenchable fires in the lives of men. It is not the presence of curses, evil foundations or whatever, that is destroying men’s life, but the absence of divine will and ways in their lives.
Like I have always said, if you are not schooled in the things of GOD, you will be skewed by con men and women in God’s garment using the things of devils. If you synchronize your life with divine will and ways, you will neutralize any demonic force that might be present in your life.
And even if an evil foundation is responsible for a case, once you do things in the will and ways of God, a fresh foundation will be laid for your life. That foundation will be called, “the foundation of the LORD.”
Yes, the foundation of the LORD will become your foundation. If you become established in it, it will result in total and complete freedom from all works of the devil. You will come into your rest.
The foundation of the LORD is a Heavenly stone that crushes every other foundation. It is more powerful than any prophetic or deliverance prayer. It is the missing “deliverance agent” in the lives of everyone under spiritual attacks.
The Bible says;
“And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.” Matthew 21:44 NKJV
Whoever is whoever; it covers people and the spirits behind them. It covers the gods of your house and all forms of household enemies. It covers ancestral curses and the voices they claim cry against people from their villages. It covers what they call evil foundation.
Jesus said “whoever.” It will be stupid to believe a preacher over Jesus Christ and what He has already said in His word.
This stone that breaks every other foundation or kingdom is the foundation to have in your life as a Christian to be free from all things that make people take prophets, intercessors and prophetesses to their villages to do the unthinkable.
WHAT AM I TRYING TO SAY THIS MORNING?
I know there are devils and curses. The Bible said so. But looking externally for what is caused by an internal filth has not helped anybody apart from the prophets, intercessors, prophetesses and pastors who make money out of it.
That is why many who join their ministries full, leave empty. Those who go there, empty of troubles, leave full of spiritual problems. They even make matters worse by threatening those left behind not to leave, else they curse them.
Friend, you will increase your predicament if you keep looking externally, if what is killing you is internal. You will be going from church to church looking for the acts of GOD, without finding a solution to your problems.
Our devotional text this morning speaks of what to do when things are not okay with you. It says you should become part of the generation that will find churches where they can learn the ways of God, and walk in His paths.
A major highlight says,
“Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”
It’s my prayer this morning that you spend the rest of your life becoming part of the breed that is saying, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths” in Jesus precious name!
Don’t forget, the only place we can find peace in a trouble world is the paths of the LORD. His paths are the only paths on earth that has His footsteps, and that is where true deliverance and restoration take place!
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR TODAY;
“I will hear what God the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints; but let them not turn back to folly. Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, that glory may dwell in our land.
Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed. Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven. Yes, the Lord will give what is good; and our land will yield its increase.
Righteousness will go before Him, and shall make His footsteps our pathway.” Psalms 85:8-13 NKJV
