THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 16TH JANUARY 2024)

“The Lord gave the word; great was the company of those who proclaimed it:” Psalm 68:11 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 16TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.

We give glory to God for all He has done and is doing in our lives. The 16 days of our years of impact have been salted with God’s grace, mercies, compassion, presence, and peace.

One of the major keys of impact, is repetition. There is the law of repetition.

You will never have impact in certain things except there is a repeat of the actions that make those things happen.

You would have to do it over and over and over again, before you get established enough for impact to happen.

An establishment that will bring impact is not possible without repetition.

The reason we are not established in certain things is because we have not repeated them enough to be established in them. People hate repetition of things that will help them because of the price.

Yes, we do not easily yield to righteous repetitions because of the absence of pleasure in them. Anything righteous has no carnal pleasure in it, and we love things that are full of carnal pleasure, hence resisting righteous repetitions.

But if we are going to make impact or get established in great things, we must respect the law of righteous repetitions. We must pay the price to repeat righteous things until we are established in them.

The enemy wants us to be repeating dark and sinful things until we are destroyed. And what he did to make that happen, is to put carnal pleasure in dark and sinful things, so that we can keep repeating them, and become destroyed.

THERE IS DESTRUCTION AT THE END OF THE REPETITION OF DARK AND SINFUL THINGS.

For instance, people repeat sexual sins, intake of drugs, stealing of what does not belong to them, lying, etc. over and over again, until they become established because of the pleasure or other advantages in them.

Once we are established in them, they destroy our lives.

That tells us that Satan even use the law of repetition to destroy our lives, and we fall victim of it because of the carnal pleasure we get. But strong people must know how to reject the pleasure of Egypt for Christ greater riches like Moses did.

It is our year of impact, and certain truths we shared in time past, need to be repeated in our hearts until we are established.

There is one major truth we have shared on this platform that is worth repeated for impact. I hope you are ready. The truth says, “God created us to DEPEND on Him for success, and to walk with good men to succeed.”

In other words, you would have to depend on God to succeed in life, but open your heart to good people also. You should not make the mistake of shutting out people from your life saying its only God you need. You will fail.

God’s purpose for your life cannot be fulfilled until you are surrounded by great men and women who love the LORD and LOVE YOU ALSO. That is part of the wisdom of God that we need to repeat over and over to ourselves.

Understand that, in the third dimension of God’s will, you are a purpose of God on earth.

You are His eternal purpose in time. Until God’s eternal purposes in time, are surrounded by good men and women, assembled by the arm of the LORD, they will either remain unfulfilled or be terminated all together.

You will need good people to become a good person, yes to become that great person God has purposed you to become. If you do not embrace this wisdom, you will find yourself isolated in life, thinking it is God’s will for you.

GOD’S WILL IS THAT WE STAY ISOLATED FROM BAD PEOPLE, NOT FROM GOOD PEOPLE.

His will is that we stay away, as far as possible, from people who will not influence us positively, those who will not allow us to become what He has purposed us to become, or those who will hinder us in any way.

Yes, His will is that we stay away from parasites and all agents of any form of darkness. His will is not that we stay away from human beings altogether.

It is demonic to think that God wants you to stay away from human beings.

Yes, to think that God wants you to stay away from human beings because of their sins is demonic and insane. Sin lives in everyone even when everyone is not living in sin.

So, you might have to separate from yourself too.

That is why I said, it is insane to think that God wants you to separate from all humans and be alone because of their sins. He might ask you to separate from one person or group of people, but not from all humans.

God did not say we should separate from sinners. He said we should not be yoked together with them, or with any unbeliever out there, either in the world or in the Church.

In other words, we are to have interface with sinners but not intercourse.

The word sinner, was originally used to describe people in Israel whose moral behavior was in opposition to the moral standards of the law of Moses, especially in an open or obvious way.

The Bible made it clear that Jesus ate with them. He never separated from them.

But it is also important to note that, Jesus ate with them but did not marry them, neither did he put them into His apostolic team. That was interface and not intercourse. But we do the opposite today.

We would find someone, whose moral behavior is against the moral standards of Christ as revealed in the Holy Scripture, and make them our close allies, our destiny partners, our intimate friends, shoulders to cry on, our wives, our husbands, our pastors, our prophets, our spiritual sons and daughters, our spiritual heads, etc.

WE BRING THEM INTO OUR SPACE AND DESTROY OUR MORALITY. THAT IS NOT THE WILL OF GOD!!

The will of GOD is that we keep such in the outer courts of our lives, and not bring them into our holies and holies, because even God WHO IS LOVE would not do that.

He would first pass them through a purification process before giving them such privilege. Do not allow people the Bible describe as the wicked to have access to your intimate space.

The Bible says,

“When the wicked comes, contempt comes also; and with dishonor comes reproach.” Proverbs 18:3 NKJV

The showing of contempt in the place of honor is the characteristics of the wicked. That is why you should not bring in those the Bible calls the wicked into your inner space, especially if you want to retain your honor.

Allow them to be transformed first, because when the wicked comes, your honor will become treated with contempt. People have been raped and sexually defiled by the wicked they allowed into their intimate spaces. So, be careful.

Understand that, once a person’s honor is treated with contempt, that person will become dishonorable, bringing in reproach to the person’s life.

You must therefore guard the intimate places of your life jealously and keep those who are deficient in moral behavior far from it.

Your life might need a company of people to succeed, but you must be careful who you bring into your intimate space or places. That is the word of the LORD today.

Our devotional text says,

“The Lord gave the word; great was the company of those who proclaimed it:”

Let the word of the LORD guide you on who to bring into your intimate space. Do not be moved by what you see. The Bible says we must not judge according to what we see, hear or feel but according to the voice, word, will, and ways of the LORD.

May the Holy Spirit take these truths further and cause a brighter light to shine upon you in Jesus’ precious name!

LET THIS SCRIPTURAL BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY;

“A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment.”

“A fool has no delight in understanding, but in expressing his own heart.”

“When the wicked comes, contempt comes also; and with dishonor comes reproach.” Proverbs 18:1-3 NKJV

“A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city, and contentions are like the bars of a castle.” Proverbs 18:19 NKJV

“Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:” Hebrews 12:14 NKJV
