TODAY’S DEVOTION (WEDNESDAY 24TH JANUARY 2024)
“And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.”
“Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible.”
“Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. Luke 1:35-38 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 24TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.
The Spirit of the LORD has made us, and His breathe have not ceased giving us life.
Indeed, God has been faithful, and His faithfulness has spoken conspicuously in our lives for 24 days of this year already. We are confident that the rest of the year are in His hands, and His faithfulness will keep seeing us through.
The LORD God is stirring the prophetic Spirit of the end time Church; while some are using it to do other things, few are using it to enter their closet to find out from the LORD what He wants to do with their lives in such a time as this.
I hope we all become part of the few.
Sadly, we have some of us who are good at just sitting in Church, week in week out, to warm the seats. There is nothing we are doing that is making an impact in the Kingdom of God. We sit in our denominational cocoons and just seek God to give us our heart desires, without realizing that it is sending leanness to our souls.
When leanness is sent to your soul, you will remain spiritually immature and demonic attacks will not cease in your life.
Obedience to prophets will replace obedience to the written word of God, the Bible. Prophetic short sightedness and carnality will become the order of your spiritual life, keeping you walled within a denominational system.
I submit to you again that GOD did not create denominations, man did.
Denominations were created when the values that guided the custodians of the different moves of GOD that the Church has witnessed disappeared under the pressure of hell, giving in to religion.
But the good news is, Jesus started His Church the way He wanted it, now He is bringing His church back to the way He started it.
The Church, though from our different denominations, is going to operate as a Holy Nation these end times, and through the instrumentality of loyalty to the one and only true God, will be empowered to paralyze the gods of the nations.
YOU HAVE A POST AND YOUR LOYALTY WILL BE REQUIRED!!
Like we have been resounding this for the last three days. We reiterate again that each and every one of us in the present Church globally, has a divine destiny to fulfil. We have a post and our loyalty to the One and Only true God will be required.
If we become more concerned about that, none of us will be found camping around religion, or walling ourselves in some denominational systems. We will break out and begin to seek the LORD as never before.
We will find ourselves taking our place in destiny as God’s Holy nation on the face of the earth, paralyzing the influence of the gods of the nations, and converting the kingdoms of this world into that of God and of His Christ.
Every prophetic person knows that time has come for the body of Christ to move from other matters, to matters of our eternal purpose in time. So, let us go further with the Holy Spirit,even this morning, to see what He has for us on divine destiny.
I have said this over and over again that Divine destiny is like a seed. Where you plant yourself is what determines if you will fulfil it or not. This is one of the major truths that most serious-minded Christians seem not to have come to terms with.
Today is the 24th day of year 2024, that should ring a bell, because there are 24 elders in Heaven, and each one qualified to be there through the release of their destiny on earth. However, none of these elders planted themselves in places where their divine destiny could not be fulfilled.
Most of them left their places of natural birth to where the LORD led them to have their destinies fulfilled. They ended up living in natural places that allowed their destinies to be fulfilled. Those natural places represent spiritual zones for us today!
The word fulfil denotes things that have been pre-determined to be made manifest, executed, or performed in or through our lives. That will never happen if we are in the wrong places.
WRONG PLACES ARE WRONG CHURCHES, WRONG LIFE STYLES, WRONG ENVIRONMENTS, WRONG NATIONS, ETC.
Wrong places are to our divine destinies what acid is to plants.
Do not forget, your divine destiny contains things that have been pre-determined by God to take place in or through your life on the face of the earth. But the place you plant yourself is what determines if they will take place or not.
For instance, it was pre-determined that a virgin will conceive without meeting a man to give birth to the messiah. It was a popular prophecy among the Jews. Mary became that virgin because of where she planted herself spiritually. The word fulfil, was made manifest in her life.
She never needed to pray and fast to be that virgin. She was just in the right place spiritually, doing the right things, at the right timeover time, without realizing she was walking into a pre-determined thing; and the word came to pass in her life.
Destiny was designed by God to be fulfilled that way; it was designed be fulfilled on its own. Yes, it was designed to be made manifest or executed by God using time and acting on our loyalty to Him.
It was not designed to be executed by the power or will of man. That is why you cannot force your destiny to be fulfilled.
Divine destiny is not something you force out or train yourself to execute. It was not designed to be fulfilled that way. It is something that should be fulfilled on its own, by the power, presence, and faithfulness of God.
All you need to do is to position yourself properly, by planting yourself in the right place.
If you are in the right place, with the right people, at the right time, doing the right things, you will find yourself fulfilling your destiny. It will just flow out of you, like it flowed out of David the day he killed the giant.
Remember he did not leave home planning to kill a giant.
Concerning the Immaculate Conception as we can see in our devotional text, the angel said to Mary;
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.”
HIDDEN IN THIS STATEMENT IS AN ADDITIONAL REVELATION OF HOW DIVINE DESTINY IS FULFILLED.
It is fulfilled when the Holy Ghost come upon us and the power of the Highest Overshadow us from time to time. That is why you must not plant yourself where this does not happen.
If you will fulfil your destiny, you must plant yourself where the Holy Ghost comes upon people and overshadow them with God’s power from time to time, and the revelation knowledge of God’s word is abundantly present.
Don’t forget what the Bible says in the book of Zechariah. God was giving the same lesson to the prophet Zechariah to tell Zerubbabel whose divine destiny was to serve as the governor of a Jewish nation that had just returned from Babylonian captivity. It says;
So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.
‘Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”‘” Zechariah 4:6-7NKJV
I like that word “Grace, grace.” If you are in the right place, God’s grace will be flowing constantly to you, to enable you fulfil or execute your divine destiny. God’s grace is actually God’s presence that manifest as God’s power and pardon.
It is the same thing as the power of the Highest overshadowing you the way it overshadowed Mary to fulfil her destiny. That is what we need on daily or constant bases to execute or fulfil our divine destiny.
Everyone who ever walked with God fulfilled his or her divine destiny on the same terms. The Holy Ghost came upon them and the power of the Highest Overshadowed them from time to time. David was one of them.
Let us refresh our minds with some more revelation about him.
He came to national consciousness when he killed a Giant at 17. You will agree with me that he did not kill that giant by his own strength. It was not even his skill that brought the giant down, but the power of God.
Men of skill and deep experience in warfare could not stand the giant.
In fact, the king said to him, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth” (1 Samuel 17:33 NKJV). But David insisted on fighting the giant.
HIS MOTIVATION WAS FAITH IN THE POWER OF GOD NOT HIS OWN STRENGTH.
The King went further to demonstrate how he cared by kitting David with his own Armor and battle regalia, but David could not even move with them because destiny is not designed to be fulfilled with man-made weapons, or in man-made warfare kits. If it is destiny a man wants to fulfil, everything must be God made and God governed.
Finally, David moved against the giant, vulnerable at all points but with faith in the power of GOD. He never trusted the wisdom of men but the power of GOD; finally, an important part of his destiny was fulfilled that day.
The Bible says,
“And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:4-6 NKJV
You cannot fulfil your destiny with a faith in the wisdom of men. Your faith must be totally buried in the power of God. You must be sold out to the Holy Ghost; the power of the Highest, and depend on Him at all points, even in your most vulnerable moments.
That brings us again to the subject of where you need to plant yourself. If you plant yourself spiritually in Churches where the wisdom of men holds sway, you will never fulfil your destiny in God’s design. You will become anything but what God intended for you.
So, until you locate and plant yourself where the Holy Ghost can regularly reach you with power from on High, and living truths from the throne of GOD, you will never be able to fulfil your destiny!
That is the message of today’s devotional!
