THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (MONDAY 18TH MARCH 2024)

“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ Matthew 25:23 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 78TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.

Glory be to God for His marvelous help! We have seen His mercies for 78 days of the year, and we are grateful.

A few years back, while speaking to a group of disciples of Jesus Christ here in Nairobi, the LORD brought to my attention a revelation truth He had made known to me years ago. I sense in my spirit that I need to share the much as I can about that revelation in our devotional this morning.

I hope we are ready.

When the teachings on evil altars started in Nigeria, I keyed into them as a young minister. We began a lot of altar-breaking, sacrificial giving, prayers, and all that.

We spoke about how terrible evil altars are and got so many converted to our gospel, instead of to Christ. That was when the LORD began to speak fresh truths to me. The first person He used was a Nigerian Ambassador who had served in seven nations.

He had just returned to the country and was blessed to be reassigned to the presidency. The man asked me Bible questions that clearly debunked the altar teachings, but I could not answer. Neither could I force the teaching into his throat like many preachers do today.

That sparked the fire that sent me to the most holy place to meet the LORD for revelation. The rest, as they say, is history. The bottom line is, I was delivered. Today, the LORD has perfectly replaced the dark and money-making teaching with His own doctrine; the doctrine of Christ.

First of all, you may not agree with me on this but there are three kinds of doctrines in Church today. We have the doctrines of men, the doctrines of devils, and the doctrine of Christ – which is the apostolic doctrine.

Most of what the present Church teaches about evil altars is a mixture of the doctrine of devils and that of men. That is why no one has really been free from what we call evil altars.

While I was with them, we will just pick some scriptures from the Old Testament about altars, and brew them up with operational codes from teachings I never knew were from the kingdom of darkness; we will brew them into what Jesus exposed as, “flesh and blood revelation.”

THEN TEACH THEM WITH SUCH ELOQUENCE AND ORATORY POWER TO THE AMAZEMENT OF THE IGNORANT.

Consequently, keeping the Church busier with what the devil is doing than what God has done on the cross, and what He wants to do with the end time church.

It seems to me that, the only way a present-day preacher shows to the naïve that he or she is called, is to come out with some man-made “revelations” on evil altars and spice it up with other true teachings.

He will pick some lying doctrines and cover them with so much truths, making the not meticulous believe everything or excuse the lie. What I just stated, is being made to prosper in the Church today, by the gospel that promotes enemy consciousness.

Talking about enemy consciousness, many of us do not know that “enemy consciousness” is a major sign of no glory in a local Church. If the glory of the LORD is in a local Church, people will be talking about the revelation of the glory not their enemies.

Sadly, the enemy consciousness in church today, has become the processing ground of most false doctrines that sound true in the ears of listeners. But I will leave that for another day.

Now, are evil altars real? To start with, what is an altar? Is it the locally made pots and shrines intercessors, prophetesses, and prophets take people to their villages to uproot?

Is it where the pastor stands to preach?

Is it the prayer zones people are led by certain preachers to construct in their houses, using candles, a table, and some spiritual materials, and other things they can gather? What is an altar?

Well, the Bible made it clear that an altar is a point of communication between two spirits; it could be good or bad, evil or good.

In other words, it is that place where submission is made to a higher spiritual authority. Mostly, when it all started, altars were physical and are still physical in the kingdom of darkness.

BUT IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD THEY ARE NOT.

We have just one altar, Calvary is our altar. We do not raise any other one because that was raised over 2000 years ago when Jesus died on the cross. But in the kingdom of darkness it is different.

They usually have a physical construct of what people call an altar, and it is usually an expression of what is exclusively spiritual. That is why people who go to uproot them, like Gideon did in the Old Testament, cannot be really free from the spirits they represent.

The Bible says, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal. Besides, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

In the Old Testament, things were basically physical because the people had no power to bind demons. But that Changed with the death of Jesus and the outpouring of the Holy Ghost. However, before all that, God led people like Abraham and the rest to build physical altars to Him.

Satan also led people to do the same to him. But in the New Testament, things changed for us in God’s kingdom as earlier stated.

For us in the kingdom of God today, the altar is the heart. The heart of man is the ideal place of communication between him and God. The heart of man is his spirit. Worship is done in spirit and in truth, making our spirits God’s altars on earth.

To raise an altar to the LORD today, is to lift up your spirit to Him in worship after offering your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to Him; and we do that every time we gather in fellowship.

It is not to give some sacrificial offering or something that costs you something to some preachers, calling it an altar of sacrifice. Neither is it following what some greedy and untaught preachers do or lead you to do, in the name of raising an altar.

There is so much on this that I can’t state here because of space. But you can order for all messages that we have ever preached on altars from this line +254 791 333 111.

The most important thing is coming out of afflictions that our pastors have told us are caused by “an evil altar” or “a curse” in our father’s house. Child of God, it is not by going for the kind of deliverance they fashion out. It is by following the LORD in Spirit and in truth.

NO EVIL FOLLOWS THOSE WHO FOLLOW THE LORD.

Permit me to share the revelation I hinted at the onset! During those days of encounters with the LORD, He said to me, “whatever you blame on what you call evil altars, is caused by sinful lives that plunge people into the portals of hell”.

When He said that, I quickly understood among other things, that no man can be free from such captivity by applying whatever we were telling them to do. They can only be free by coming into their spiritual inheritance in Christ.

That was one truth from the LORD, that made me to drop the altar teaching.

It explained why many have fasted, prayed, given sacrificially, sowed seeds, drank oil, used salt, mustard seeds, holy water, and all we told them to use in prayer, yet had little or no permanent results to show.

Then I took a research on altar raising in some religious cults, that was when I screamed.

I screamed because I discovered that, what we were actually practicing, was what those cult groups practice in their bid to bring deliverance to the captives. You see, satanic methods of deliverance cannot cast out a demon. It can only exchange the one you know with the one you do not know.

Our devotional text this morning said,

“’Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’”

This scripture tells us what will happen on the final day; when we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ for our rewards. But it has a shadow of what presently happens in the spirit realm as regards to our spiritual inheritance in Christ.

There are things to enter into by spiritual inheritance not by struggle.

For instance, divine healing is a miracle that can take place in a man’s life by prayer. But divine health is a product of spiritual inheritance. One financial miracle can take place because you prayed.

But no one can come into financial blessings, except by spiritual inheritance.

THE SUBJECT OF SPIRITUAL INHERITANCE IS DEEPER THAN WE CAN UNCOVER IN A DEVOTIONAL.

It is one manifestation of our redemption that we need. Understand that, when a man gives his life to Christ, he will receive a spiritual inheritance by the blood of Jesus. But when Christ is formed in him, he will come into a much higher level of spiritual inheritance.

Apart to giving our lives to Christ, and having Christ formed in you, one other way we come into spiritual inheritance, is by allowing God to bring us into our spiritual family.

A spiritual family is a group of people supernaturally brought together by a common kingdom spirit, mandate, or DNA. They are usually bigger than local Church groups.

In God’s kingdom, a spiritual family is the supply channel of God for local Church groups and ministries. The Bible says God will first set the solitary in family, before blessing them. The reason is because He does not bless disorder.

If you are in need of deliverance, He will first set you in your spiritual family, before releasing your deliverance to you. There is so much on these truths, but may the LORD use the little we have shared, to take you to greater heights of faith. Amen.

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!!
