THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 9TH APRIL 2024)

“By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:5-6 KJV

WELCOME TO THE 100TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.

Glory be to the LORD God for all His works. His mercies, Kindness, compassion, and peace has successfully helped us to see the first hundred days of this year.

How awesome are His deed! How marvelous are His ways!!

Indeed, He has not dealt with us according to our sins but according to His faithfulness. He is the Holy One who dwells with sinful ones to make them holy ones. His presence with us has been doing just that, and we give Him the glory!!

In Biblical numerology, the number 100 represents fulness or full measure.

Abraham was hundred years when he got to the fulness of times set aside for the promised child, and Isaac was born. What we now know in History as the Reformation and the Revival, that birth the charismatic movement, was born after people prayed for a hundred years.

If you had started something with God from day one of this year, by today, you would have been entering a fulness of the blessing of that thing. That is how the Kingdom of God works.

The Bible says we should move from grace to grace, faith to faith, and glory to glory.

If we all have been moving from one measure of grace to another, one measure of faith to another, and one measure of glory to another, without losing any measure, by today we would have entered the full measure of either that grace, faith, or glory.

If anyone in God’s kingdom, moves from one measure of a kingdom treasure to another measure for a hundred days, without losing any measure, that person will get to the fullness of that kingdom treasure.

If you move from a 30-fold measure of prayer power, for example, to 35-fold, to 45-fold, to 55-fold, and you keep increasing in measure, without losing any grounds, by the time you will be getting to the 100 day of your journey, you will come into a 100-fold of prayer power.

THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS GOVERNED BY HEAVENLY PRINCIPLES.

If you do not know them, you will never be established in anything.

Whatever you want to be established in is possible, if only you can follow the principle. The principle of the 100 is one major principle that many of us do not know, as a result do not apply.

But if you want to grow and come into the full blessing of anything in God’s kingdom, no matter how impossible it looks, you can get it following the principle of the 100.

If you want to take over a City for Christ, and you do the right things following the principle of the 100, you will come to the place of the fulness of the result of the right thing you have been doing, and the whole City will be taken over for Christ.

If Christ is stirring us to bring down the altars of Baal, doctrines of devils, and other dark things in a particular region of the world, or the church, and we do the right things following the principle of the hundred, we will successfully bring down what He wants us to bring down.

Sometimes, something can be a perfect will of God for you, but if you do not follow the principle of the 100, it will still fail, or give you a result that is not good at all.

So many who tend to be failing in life, are not failing because God does not want them to be doing whatever they may be doing that is failing, but because they do not respect the principles that will make it succeed. It could be business, marriage, relationship, finance, or the pursuit of a career.

I reiterate again, that no matter how perfect what is God’s will for your life is, if you do not respect the principles that will make it succeed, it will never succeed despite that thing being God’s will for you.

Ignorance of Biblical principles is the reason many of us fail in life. We think that once we have prayed, everything will be fine. Yes, everything will be fine, if we pray and then walk in the principles that will make them fine.

It is kingdom principles that helps us in stepping into the results of the prayers we might have prayed. If prayer alone was what is needed, all praying people will not have struggles, sorrows, spiritual attacks, lack, poverty, sickness, marital crisis, premature death, or destruction. But that is not the case.

A LOT OF PRAYING PEOPLE ARE SUFFERING.

They suffer because they do not add principled living to their prayer lives. It is when you add principle living to your prayer life that you enjoy the best of your prayers.

All through the History of God’s kingdom on earth, principles have proven to be responsible for the results of most righteous prayers. We can see that in the lives of so many people. But let’s look at one, the man David.

One day David was in terrible danger. A man who knew him well had broken away from him and became disloyal. He joined forces with Absalom his son to kill him. David needed to pray that God should defeat the man’s counsel, because he knew through his counsel, his son could kill him.

Speaking about the potential of the man’s counsels, the Bible says;

“And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.” 2 Samuel 16:23 KJV

David knew prayer without principles will not help him, so he moved to follow a principle after he had prayed to God. The Bible says;

“And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.

And it came to pass, that when David was come to the top of the mount, where he worshipped God, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat rent, and earth upon his head:

Unto whom David said, If thou passest on with me, then thou shalt be a burden unto me:

But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy father’s servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.” 2 Samuel 15:31-34 KJV

YOU SEE WHAT DAVID DID IN THIS SCRIPTURE?

He backed his prayers with a principle which I will not go into today.

Sadly, I have seen leaders who twisted this principle and used it to destroy the lives of many. The message here is this, we cannot just be praying and not following the kingdom principles that will bring answer to our prayers, and succeed in life.

Our prayers must be backed by kingdom principles for us to reap their benefits. The principle of the 100, is one great kingdom principle that can change our lives. If we add it to our prayer lives, we will get the best of our prayer knees.

If we want to build a strong prophetic anointing, and we do the right things for a hundred days, weeks, or months, we will come to the place of a pure prophetic anointing in Christ.

If you want to have a successful marriage, and you do the right things following the principle of the 100, you will get to the place of amazing marital success. God is naturally a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Our devotional text says;

Two things we see in this scripture, the life of Enoch, which was a life of a 300-year consistent walk with God, and the nature of God.

In the life of Enoch, we see a man who applied the principle of 100 three times, because then they could live that long. He walked with God consistent for 100 years, after 65 years of living on earth.

Then he added another 100 years, and added another 100. He reached the fulness three times. On the third time, immortality took him over. He got translated to glory; spirit, soul, and body.

OUR LIVES WILL NEVER BE THE SAME IF WE SO WALK WITH GOD.

As we walk with Him, we must understand His nature. He is naturally a rewarder. He rewards those who seek Him diligently, not inconsistently.

So, if we are not getting anything from Him, we are not seeking Him. If we are seeking Him and not getting it, we are seeking Him without following the kingdom principle that will deliver it to us.

He is naturally a rewarder of those who seek Him consistently.

As we bring this to a close, let’s look at some practical things about this principle. The principle of the 100 calls for consistency in seeking God. That is why, if you want to grow into a much higher level of the anointing, and you do the right things for 100 weeks, you will get to that place.

If you want to begin to operate in the glory, and you do the right things for 100 months, you will get there. 100 Months is just 8 years and few months. Yes, if you walk consistently with God for 8 good years, doing the right things, His glory will become your dwelling place.

We will always come into the fullness of things in God if we operate the principle of the 100.

The problem we have is inconsistency in our walk with God. We are good at not being consistent. We will do one great thing and then stop and then return to it again, preventing ourselves from coming into the fulness of that thing.

If we all have indeed worked with GOD the first hundred days of this year, especially as we ought to work, there will be some among us who will be enjoying a fullness of Him as we clock the 100th day.

Whatever you do with God for hundred days will bring you into a fulness of Him or in Him. That is the message of today!!

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!!

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.” Jeremiah 29:11-14 KJV
