THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 16TH APRIL 2024)

“Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; They will still be praising You. Selah

Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, They make it a spring; The rain also covers it with pools.

They go from strength to strength; Each one appears before God in Zion.” Psalm 84:4-7 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 107TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.

God’s amazing grace has been sufficient for us. It is the reason for all we have seen in our lives and will still see. To Him belong all the glory.

God’s amazing grace is something we will probably appreciate more in the next life. Every saved and sanctified person will tell you that without God’s amazing grace, we will not be saved, we will not even be alive.

Yes, His grace has made sure His immediate present help is experienced in our time of trouble. Sometimes He helps us by stopping the trouble, other times He helps us by allowing us go through the trouble, but making sure the troubles do not go through us.

He said in His word;

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.” Isaiah 43:2 NKJV

God’s mercies that helps us go through things without them going through us, are to help us live very fulfilled lives.

I did not say long lives, I said fulfilled lives. It is good to have a long life, but if that life is not fulfilled, it will be a useless long life.

A useless long life does not add value to God’s kingdom. In most cases it tries to diminish. I can’t forget the man in my village who lived for almost 120 years, but made sure he used his sorcery to kill as many as possible, including his own children. That is a useless long life.

DO NOT LOOK FOR A USELESS LONG LIFE. LOOK FOR A BEAUTIFUL FULFILLED LIFE IN CHRIST.

A beautiful fulfilled life will be protected from the messengers and the instruments of premature death. It will be kept by the shadow of the almighty, and driven through its appointed days by the Spirit, until it fulfills its purpose for being on earth.

Not everyone who looks for long life gets it. But all who looks for a fulfilled life, especially in Christ Jesus, get it. You may not live as long as Methuselah, just make sure each day the LORD allows you to see something that will speak glorious rewards for you in eternity is fulfilled.

I think these are no longer days that the righteous should be looking at long life the way the lost world looks at it, or thinking about it the way they do. These are days to be thinking of a fulfilled life, because in a terminal generation, the righteous are sometimes taken home quickly to rest from their labors.

There are things that are usually unique to a terminal generation. One is how the righteous are made to rest from their labors.

Some are killed by things that are either unknown or known to them, while others are taken out by simple carelessness or raging battles, and some others are just taken home to go rest from their labors, especially if they have lived their days in intense persecutions.

It is very important that we must understand what to expect in a terminal generation, so long as the life of the righteous is concerned.

The Christian life is all about the revelation you are living your days by. It is all about what you know. The works of grace increases in our lives by what we know in God, and diminishes by what we do not know.

How fulfilled you will live your life will be determined by the revelation you are living your daily life by, not necessarily the prayer you are praying.

There are those who will live very short and unfulfilled lives because of the revelation they are living their days by, and there are those who will live long and fulfilled lives because of the kind of revelation they are living their days by.

YOUR REVELATION KNOWLEDGE OF GOD IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN YOUR LIFE.

If it is poor your life will reflect it, and if it is rich your life will also reflect it. The Bible says, “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” It is not a lack of secular knowledge, but a lack of knowledge of God.

I reiterate again that your life will never be better than the quality of revelation it is living by. There are those who know very beautiful things of God, but do not apply them to their lives. Hence, still not living beautiful lives.

If you want to lead a fulfilled life, you will need to live your days by a revelation knowledge of God that will make that happen. There are no two ways about it. We just had a conference on immortality. Go get all the messages and build your life around it. Now we are looking at the goodness of God.

A life that is lived by the beautiful things of God it has learned, will be very beautiful even if it finds itself in the midst of its enemies. The revelation knowledge it is living by will keep it shining and beautiful until it fulfills its days.

The Bible says,

“But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.” Proverbs 4:18 NKJV

You can never shine brighter than what you know in God. For your life to shine brighter and brighter, it must be lived seasonally from one bright revelation of God, to another. It must be governed by fresh revelations of God. It must not be governed by human traditions, or any other.

You must move from the application of one revelation knowledge to another to have a life that shines brighter and brighter, unto a perfect day. You must not be stagnant in one truth. You must progress into another, then another, and another, from time to time, season to season, and etc.

That is why I thank God for what He is doing in the Cry of the Spirit Ministries; how He takes us from one fresh revelation of God to another. It is amazing.

I BELIEVE THAT IS HOW THE CHRISTIAN LIFE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE LIVED; FROM ONE FRESH REVELATION TO ANOTHER.

In His plans, God wants you not to have a better yesterday. He wants our today to always be better than our yesterday no matter how glorious our yesterday was. However, to see this plan come to pass in our lives, as earlier stated, we must be moving from one revelation of God to another, and applying same to our daily lives.

We must be moving from one scriptural light to another scriptural light, applying the same in our lives, until our Days are fulfilled.

We must find a Spiritual house, as in a local Church, whose pastor is blessed with such revelation; a place where God moves the people from one revelation of who He is, to another revelation of who He is, and plant ourselves there, with a heart that is ready to apply what is taught.

In fact, that is the characteristics of a Church governed by the LORD. His Spirit makes sure people who worship there, are moved from one scriptural revelation of who God is, to another; resulting in a constant movement from faith to faith, grace to grace, and glory to glory.

In such a place, God will always make sure that those who worship Him there, experience amazing transformations each time they appear before Him. That is how they move from strength to strength. Our devotional text says;

YOU WILL ALWAYS GO FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH, IF YOU WORSHIP GOD IN A LOCAL CHURCH THAT MOVES FROM ONE FRESH REVELATION OF GOD TO ANOTHER.

If you live a life that is going from strength to strength, you will have a life that is like a shining sun, that shines brighter and brighter unto a perfect day. The text made it clear that to have that kind of life, we must appear before God in Zion, or the place of His manifest presence.

It is in the place of His manifest presence, that we catch fresh revelations each time we appear before Him.

I believe enough has been shared for the day. As we bring this to a close, I want to reiterate again that God does not want us to have a better yesterday. He wants our today to always be better than yesterday. That is how He Himself is, and He wants His children to share in the same heritage.

Finally, let me say this; no matter what you forget in life, do not forget that the moves and outbreaks of God in your life, will be greatly determined by the quality of what you know and apply to your life on daily bases.

That is why God will always teach His people first, before bringing them into blessings. Yes, He will give them revelation knowledge to apply to their lives daily, before bringing them into any glorious things He might have promised them.

Even in the realm of permanent deliverance, you will never have a permanent deliverance from a yoke, until you have received the revelation that will bring it. That was why He had Moses speak to the captive people of Israel first, before having him speak to Pharaoh.

Understand that God will never break out for you, until you have allowed Him to speak to you, and align your ways with what He wants you to be doing, for Him to do what He wants to do in your life.

The word of the LORD is very clear that we will never come into anything God wants to do in our life, if we lack the revelation knowledge of Him; a knowledge that we need to apply to our life daily to come into that which He wants to do. That is one of the many messages the LORD brought our way today.

May you remain guided by these truths, in Jesus’ precious name. Amen!!!

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!

“Then Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel.

And Aaron spoke all the words which the LORD had spoken to Moses. Then he did the signs in the sight of the people.

So the people believed; and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel and that He had looked on their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.” Exodus 4:29-31 NKJV

Afterward Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh, “Thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘Let My people go, that they may hold a feast to Me in the wilderness.’ ” Exodus 5:1 NKJV
