TODAY’S DEVOTION (SUNDAY 28TH APRIL 2024)
If a trumpet is blown in a city, will not the people be afraid? If there is calamity in a city, will not the Lord have done it? Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.
A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken! Who can but prophesy? Amos 3:6-8 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 119TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.
We are in the days of visions and revelations from the Throne room. Not visions of a devil coming or a witch flying. Not visions induced by carnality and money.
We are in the days of visions of God’s redemptive purposes for the end time, and the reason for that is very clear. A special line in our devotional text says;
Surely the Lord God does nothing; Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. Amos 3:7
God is releasing the visions because of the things He wants to do. He will not do them until He reveals them, and will not reveal them, if He does not intend to do them.
In other words, God does not move unless He speaks to His servants the Prophets. And God does not speak unless He wants to move or send something from Heaven to earth. The Bible says the LORD God will do nothing unless He first reveals it to His servants the prophets.
God reveals His secret to His servants through prophetic roars – yes He roars because He is the LION of the tribe of Judah; and when He does, only His true servants, people in the prophetic, can pick and understand. Others cannot.
That brings us to the next line in our devotional text. It says;
A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken! Who can but prophesy? Amos 3:8
When you come into this realm where He is roaring from, you cannot but prophesy. His roar is His voice. That is why the word calls Him a Lion, and calls what comes out, the voice of the LORD.
When lions speak, their voice come out as roars. When the LION of Judah speaks, His voice comes out like a prophetic and an apostolic roar – shaking the foundations of sin, rebellion and carnality, throwing the wicked and the antichrist into rage, anguish, or confusion.
THERE IS AN APOSTOLIC AND PROPHETIC ROAR FOR EACH GENERATION.
Any generation that is cut off from its own apostolic and prophetic roar, will miss its way and become a perverse and crooked generation. Any generation that misses its own apostolic and prophetic roar, will end up in the belly of the dragon.
For instance, everyone in hell fire today missed their apostolic and prophetic roar. Yes, everyone in a wrong marriage today missed his or her roar.
When a generation misses its roar, destruction or calamities will become inevitable. It will be caught up in the snares, or net of the wicked one; and God does not want to see us caught in the net of the wicked one.
That is why He raises serving prophets to hear His apostolic and prophetic roars to send them to the earth.
In the Old Testament, prophets of GOD were people who were authorized to function as communicators of God’s roaring words to individual, Families, Churches, Cities, and nations. Today they are communicators of the apostolic and prophetic roars of Jesus Christ, first to the Church, then to the nations.
The primary purpose is to make Christ known to all, so that men will align with His will, ways, and routes for their lives. One day He said to Jeremiah;
“See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.” Jeremiah 1:10 NKJV
After that encounter, Jeremiah began to hear and release God’s roar to the nations. Till this day, we still have his book in our hands, communicating to us the prophetic roars of the LION of the Tribe of Judah. He received and sent it faithfully in his generation. Now it is our turn!!!
The Cry of the Holy Spirit is the apostolic and prophetic roar of Jesus Christ for our age and time. With all sense of humility and purpose, I know GOD brought us to East Africa to sense and send the Cry of the Holy Spirit, the apostolic and prophetic roar of the LION of Judah, to this region.
He Himself said;
“Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.
Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.” Matthew 23:34-36 NKJV
TRUE PROPHETS ARE HATED, AND THEY ARE NOT ALTAR RAISING, EVIL PATTERN PREACHING, MONEY DEMANDING PROPHETS.
They are men and women with a prophetic grace to rebuke, correct, exhort, edify, and build a people over whom hell shall not prevail; a people functioning as the temple of God in the Spirit. They feed the flock with words that makes them prophetic and apostolic.
They also bring a timely word, from the throne room to the body of Christ, and then to the nations. They do not prophesy according to the dictates of their hearts or the pockets of the people. They prophesy according to the nature of the hearts of men.
They do not say to the wicked, it shall be well with you. Neither do they say to the righteous, it shall be ill with you. They bring the Testimony of Jesus Christ to all as propelled by the Holy Spirit.
Sadly, people treat them with disdain. They do not have respect for them. They accept dark and heretic prophets, but ignore the true prophetic voices of God, men and women with the seal of a divine call to unseal scriptural mysteries to them.
It is important to understand that, when God sends His servant to communicate His roar to us, and we maltreat or ill-treat them, time itself will judge us severely (except there is repentance).
The LION deals with anyone who sabotages or hinders His apostolic and prophetic roars unkindly. It is just that He delays His judgment. In His kingdom, sentences against evil works are not quickly executed.
He said “Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.” That was directly to the Jews, 40 years later it did. The Roman military came to Jerusalem, attacked and completely destroyed it.
TODAY’S DEVOTION IS FOR SONS
Sons do not eat any food they find. They feed on choice meals that come from the mouth of GOD. God sent this word to tell us that there are apostolic and prophetic truths He is roaring for our generation; there is a cry of His Holy Spirit for our age and time.
It’s the responsibility of sons to limit their spiritual food to it. Yes, they are to hear the roar or Cry of the Holy Spirit, feed on it like Ezekiel, and then go to announce to the people of their generation.
Enough of hearing or feeding from the noise of a fallen life! Enough of even listening and feeding on the words of the one who goes about like a roaring lion – the devil, through the false and heretic teachings and voices around, seeking for who to devour!
There are so many people today, listening to the roars of the roaring lion. Sons should not develop such itching ears. The Bible says,
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.” 1 Peter 5:8-9 NKJV
The roar of the roaring lion devours, yes it devours our faith and fills our hearts with fear, fear for papa and mama, instead of fear for God.
It devours our holiness and fills our lives with filth. It devours our spiritual energy and fills our life with weakness and lack of zeal for God. The roar of the roaring lion devours, that is why we are asked to be sober. But the roar of the LION of Judah delivers!
If your life is filled with confusion, fear, filth, and weakness, you have been hearing and feeding from the roar of the roaring lion, not that of the LION of Judah. Enough of hearing and feeding from the roar of the roaring lion!
This is time to fill our spirits with what the LION of Judah is roaring to the nations and to us individually for the now! This is time to sense the roar of the LION of Judah and send the same to all the LORD has assigned to us on earth.
In the last three decades, most especially recently, the roar of the roaring lion has become louder, and stronger, devouring and resisting the faith that was once delivered to us.
GOD HAS SET US ON EARTH, IN THIS HOUR AND TIME TO NEUTRALIZE IT.
He has positioned us to bring the roar of the Lion of Judah to this age. The vision is to bring the sin age to an end, by restoring the faith that was once delivered to us.
Understand that, the roar of the Lion of the tribe of Judah restores back the faith that was once delivered to us. It brings back broken standards, and strengthens weary elects of Christ.
If you are an elect of Christ, that is what to be feeding your spirit with!
So many are hearing and following the roaring of the roaring lion, that is why lives are being devoured. They hear him talk to them about evil foundation, curses in their father’s house, and all nonsense about their roots. But it has never brought the sin age in their lives to an end.
It has never saved anyone eternally. We need to hear the apostolic and prophetic roar of the LION of Judah. He said in His word,
“Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.” John 5:25 NKJV
When the LION of Judah roars, His word gives life; Yes, His word restores the apostolic life to the hearts of the Church, and align us with His prophetic will, ways, and routes for our lives. In other words, it breaks the gates of death into pieces and gives life to those held by it to come out.
We can go on and on, but this is a devotional not a book. You might be going through the worse right now, God wants you to connect His roar, not even the roar of what you are going through.
Stop listening to the roar of your storms. There is an assignment for you. Start listening to the roar of the Lion of Judah for your life. He will calm your storms over time, after using them to propel you to your assignment.
