TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 28TH MAY 2024)
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.
We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed — always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.” 2 Corinthians 4:7-10 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 149TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.
We thank God for giving us life this day. The Spirit of the LORD has made us! The breath of the Almighty gives us life. That is the life that made it possible for us to be up this morning. Let us be grateful to the LORD!!
One of the things that baffles me about God, a major mystery in His kingdom, is how He uses one man to reach another man. How He puts Heavenly treasures in an earthen vessel to reach other earthen vessels. The Bible says, He does that so that “the excellency of power may be of Him and not of us.”
One of the treasures God puts in one earthen vessel to reach another, is His abiding presence. That is why if He has not put it in you, He will not release you to reach anyone.
He will open heavenly portals within you so that His ever-abiding presence can be distilling in and through you, as He uses you to reach others. When Heavenly portals are not opened within an earthen vessel, it cannot be used by God to minister effectively to others.
But when they open, though the person might become hard pressed on every side, sometimes because of the reaction of hell and hellish people, the life of Jesus will be manifesting in him or her to reveal Christ to men.
The most important part of an earthen vessel therefore, is his or her heart. That is where God’s presence abides, and that is where Heavenly portals open.
God wants all of us to be used of Him. He wants to open His portal in our hearts. He wants to fill the earth with the knowledge of His glory by our hands. It is a knowledge that only comes when people experience the fulness of His presence through us.
He wants the billions of souls out there to have an experience of His presence through us. He wants you and I to be able to reach out to them with His presence, instead of sitting down daily asking Him to solve our problems. He wants us to be out there solving His problems in the lives of the men and women who need a touch of His presence.
THAT IS HOW OUR PROBLEMS WILL BE SOLVED.
Yes, our problems will be solved when His problem in others is solved. They will not be solved by us sitting down to ask him to solve them. They will be solved when we reach out to those in need of the works of His presence that we carry.
What you need to spend your days doing therefore, is learning how to have His presence in your life in its fullness, and how to carry it to touch the lives of others. Not sitting down looking for help from anyone.
Your help is in you helping others to experience what God want them to experience through you. God wants them to experience the fullness of His presence through you. You must come to terms with that and position yourself to be used of Him.
There are so many people in need of the presence of God in their lives and what it can do.
Yes, so many are in need of a touch of the fulness of Christ that ought to be flowing through us like a river to others. But they are being given oil, water, salt, and being told to raise altars, silence some, redeem themselves with some money, or pray with sand by misguided preachers and their stooges.
There is a lot of exploitation in the lives of people around in the name of deliverance and so forth. God wants that to stop, and you are His earthen vessel for doing that.
You are an extension of His prophetic and apostolic helping hand for that lost or suffering soul, no one else is. Understand that and wake up from slumber. You are God’s mighty man or woman.
Stop looking at your story. Your story has no revelation of who you are. Your story only has a false image of who you are. Look at your prophecy in God’s more sure word of prophecy, the Bible. That is where your identity is. And If you are interested to know, here is His word for your life. The Bible says;
Proclaim this among the nations: “Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men, Let all the men of war draw near, Let them come up.
Beat your plowshares into swords And your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’ ” Joel 3:9-10 NKJV
THAT IS THE WORD OF THE LORD. IT CARRIES A CLEAR PHOTO OF YOUR IDENTITY.
It says you are a mighty man of war. It says you are one of God’s men of war on earth today; and if you allow Jeremiah 51:20-26 to amplify that to you, the LORD is saying, “you are His weapon of war.”
That is why He said even if you are weak, stand up and declare “I am strong.” He said “let the weak say I am strong.” So, wake up and break free from that weakness! The Bible says, through faith we can become strong from any weakness. It says we can become valiant in battle.
So, stop staying at ease in Zion. Wake up in faith and let the LORD use you. Let Him use you to reach souls with his presence. Let Him use you to reach people who need only what His presence can do in their lives. Do not follow your feeling or your stories, follow His word!!!
When people who are God’s weapons of war do not wake up and position to be used of Him to touch others with His presence, they will fill their lives with the pressures of life. Their faith will begin to rust spiritually and disappear into so many things that will not let them prosper in life.
You who have known the truth is the only hope those who are have not known have to come out of the snares of the evil one.
You are the only arm of the LORD in their lives. You are the only one Heaven is counting on and earth waiting for. The whole creation is waiting for your manifestation. Let no one confuse you about that.
You may not need to tell them the truth you know. That might not work if there is a veil in their hearts. You might only need to demonstrate the truth you want to tell them. You demonstrate it by allowing God to use you to touch them with the power of His manifest presence.
Sometimes God does not tell people the truth, He demonstrate the truth, leading them to the knowledge of that truth. God wants you to do just that, He wants to use you to demonstrate the truth in the lives of the people.
HE WANTS YOU TO POSITION YOURSELF FOR IT. ARE YOU READY?
One way to position yourself is by working towards increasing the manifestation of God’s presence in your life; it is to walk towards carrying His fulness, where out of your belly will begin to flow rivers of God living presence to all He wants you to touch with it.
The Bible says,
“ On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” John 7:37-39
This scripture presents who to become intimate with, by way of positioning so that God’s manifest presence might increase in your life. That person is not a prophet, a pastor, an apostle, a bishop, or a church. That person is the Holy Spirit.
God wants you to become close or intimate with the Holy Spirit. That is how His manifest presence will increase in your life.
When the Holy Spirit was not yet given, the disciples used oil, and other forms of Judaism systems to pray, just as many churches are doing today. But when he was given, out of their belly began to flow rivers of God’s healing and refreshing presence to others. All the shadows of Judaism melted into the substance of Christianity.
The result was amazing. The substance was felt everywhere in Jerusalem, in Judea, in Samaria, and in the uttermost part of the earth of that time. Now, its is your turn. Yes, it is our turn for the substance to be felt.
God wants us to let the Substance out like they did then. He wants us to let it out and allow the rivers to flow into all souls within our borders. Are you ready?
Remember you are his weapon of war. You only need to embrace the key the apostle embraced in their time. That key was the key of fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit.
The Bible says;
“Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution.
Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables.
Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” Acts 6:1-4 NKJV
THEY GAVE THEMSELVES TO PRAYER AND TO THE MINISTRY OF THE WORD, AND THE SUBSTANCE WAS FELT EVERYWHERE THEY WERE.
If we all do the same, we will have the same results.
Friend, no one gives Himself to prayer and to the ministry of the word today and remains unusable in God’s hands. He or she will come to the place of having the manifest presence of God in their life in its fulness; the place of seeing it flow from them to those the LORD wants them to touch with it.
I believe the message of today has been passed.
Enough of making ourselves problems to be solved. Time to become people who solves God’s problems in others, yes people who meet His needs in the life of others; the need of being touched or changed by His presence. That is what everyone needs.
God wants you to wake up and come to the place where He can use you to reach others with His presence. He wants the dying touched with the treasure of His presence from His throne. The treasure is already in you, because you are His earthen vessel.
A part of our devotional text says,
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”
Yes, the treasure is there.
You could be hard-pressed on every side, you still have it. That is why you are not crushed. Now, follow the word of the LORD in today’s devotional, and begin to position to have the problems of God in the lives of others solved.
He promised to be with us if we live our days doing just that.
